Restaurant was quiet given Covid, but food was great, server was attentive and we enjoyed the experience.
Amazing dinner. Perfect service.
Ease of getting a reservation is exceptional which is strange since the food is so good but I'm so thankful. Great food, great options and great service!
We really were not expecting such a wonderful place. I was thinking it was just Chinese food. What a pleasant surprise. We had the Tuna Sashimi and Steam Chinese buns for our appetizers. The Tuna had a great texture and had a wonderful chili spice. The buns were soft and comforting. I had the MIso Marinated Black Cod. The fish was perfect, delicate and sweet. The broth had a wonderful flavor. My daughter had the Ramen and was very pleased with it. It was pricey but I feel it is a wonderful place for a special connection.
The 4 appetizers that we ordered each sounded way better than they actually were....disappointing for sure.... entrees were ok...room we were in was noisy ....we’ve been regulars to Wahso on twice yearly PC vacations, but based on this experience the restaurant may be off our list
Super overpriced, poor service, and bad ambiance. I spent $50 on a very average bowl of ramen and waited an hour for it.
Food was delicious and their booths eliminate any chance for loud background noise to disrupt soft conversation.
Nicely appointed and great menu. Our group of 5 had 4 different items and they were all excellent. Safe to say its overpriced, but a great dinner.
Simply put - fantastic food and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Always fresh and innovative Asian Fusion cuisine. Intimate setting and top notch service. Longtime customer and my return trip did not disappoint!
Frankly I had to think about this one for a while. I had dinner here years ago and since then it has a new chef and a new team. It is primarily an Asian Fusion place as opposed to either Japanese or Chinese and has elements of both. The menu is fairly limited to about 8 to 10 appetizers as well as entrees with a few salads. The best thing about this place is the decor. I was honored to attend a State dinner at the Empress Dowager’s Summer Palace in Beijing many years ago and the decor here struck me as similar. The great old style you would see with Chinese Royalty. The wine list was very good but prices were 3X standard retail which I always have an issue with. Overall the flavor of the food was excellent. But past that to me things went downhill. When we arrived our driver advised us the average entree cost was $48 but it was overall more. My first impression was the prices were outrageous for what you got. I had a bowl of ramen noodle soup with lobster and crab and to me, the noodles were what a college kid would pay $1 for in order to save money. Japanese chefs spend 40 years or more to become Master Ramen Chefs and I did not have ramen of that quality and the price was around $50. Other food items were the same. The worst part was the service. Young, poorly trained and unprofessional. It was Super Tuesday we were one of the only people there, our server appeared bored and decided to discuss politics with us for the evening, completely inappropriate. In the end, I felt Wahso was overpriced for what you received with poor unprofessional service so I do not plan on returning in the future.
The atmosphere & food was outstanding. We were seated in a small, quiet, private booth that made us feel alone and romantic. The food was exceptional with the right amount of flavor and portions. It’s Park City and not the most economical place to eat, but Wahso wasn’t out of line with that concept.
Incredibly overpriced - entrees should cost 25-35 but cost 40-60.
Would not go back
We did not know what to expect but pleasantly surprised by the decor initially and the food that followed continued to make us feel as if visiting a special place. Adam, our server, was attentive and professional but also warm and funny.
Amazing service. Thanks to our waiter, Prescott! Really good with food allergies. Delicious food. Good kids menu too.
We have eaten here often, the cod is fantastic. The salads are fresh and interesting. The staff was lovely and seated us in a quiet area, as we had a hearing impaired guest with us.
Food was pretty good. Service was prompt. Food was incredibly over priced.
Ordered 8 items-5 starters and 3 entrees to share and asked they be brought out a couple at a time. We were told of course but then 5 came out and then 3. Had an early reservation and the place was empty so it shouldn’t have been a problem. Waiter was pretty impressed with himself but wasn’t a good listener. Food meh. I have eaten here a dozen times. Definitely without much flavor as it has been in the past. The cod had no taste even with the soy it was bathed in. Sorry. This used to be my favorite go to in park city and one I recommended to all of my guests. I hope you fix what’s wrong. Would love to come back but not until I know it has improved. We were rushed through dinner. From the time we sat down to check out was 55 minutes. Not my idea of an evening out.
the food is good, the service is very good, expensive
Nice restaurant and good food. Located right ion the center of Main Street. So very easy to find, can’t miss the red lights illuminating the front porch. The price is expensive so expect a healthy bill.
Very overpriced for Asian food!
We’ve eaten here multiple times over the years, and while the service is always great, the food really was a disappointment on this last visit (the rice that came with my black cod was barely edible—either not cooked enough or overcooked and other people in our party were not that pleased with their meals either). We are taking it off our regular rotation of restaurants. Bummer, because the black cod really is very good.
It was very noisy! We were seated next to large parties. It was hard to hear people talking at our table at times. It took a long time to get our food. Our order got put in behind large orders. The waiter was doing his best. The food was good but we felt like it was overpriced. Not sure that we will return to this place on future visits.
Great food and great ambiance but just a bit overpriced. All in all we still love this place.
Probably the worse meal that I’ve ever had at Wahso and it’s one of my favorite places and I’ve eaten there many times. The chicken hot pot was poor with little or vegetables (pea pods only) or meat and little imagination. If Bill White ate this dish, he’d probably fire the kitchen staff or not eat there again. Sorry to say that I’ve eaten better ramen at dive places didn’t pay $38 for it!
At first we were placed at a table with some noisy people around us. Asked for a diffrent table and was given one without hesitation.
Food was very tasty. Everything was plated well and served to the temperature you would expect. Sevice was great and very attentive. Would dine here again.
Love the privacy of the booths. The food was excellent. My friend had the Miso marinated Black Cod and REALLY enjoyed it. I had the pear salad and two appetizers (Chinese bun and Kung Pao shrimp) as my meal and it was delicious and more than enough. Fabian, our waiter was engaging and gave us great service. I would recommend this restaurant.
We were seated just after our reservation time but no one offered to check our coats, despite everyone else’s reservation getting an offer. They seated us without a wine list and we had to ask for it twice. One waiter was managing the whole top floor, along with a couple busboys (who were attentive- just couldn’t do as much). The ambiance and attentiveness failed to meet our expectations, particularly given the cost of the food.
On the bright side, our food came quickly. We only ordered a few apps and the duck lettuce wraps were a standout.
Solid go to restaurant in Park City - food was good and portion size more than adequate
Entertaining guests from around the world.
We took some friends who had never visited Wahso before. They loved the Won Ton chips and the Miso Cod. Our waitress was very attentive even on a busy evening. I tried the Crab and Coconut Salad for the first time. I was impressed.
The taste of my meal was very mediocre. I started with the lettuce wraps and they contained raw rice! Not fun getting it stuck in your teeth. I also had the scallops with a side of kimchee. Scallops were so-so and the kimchee was not at all authentic. In fact it resembled coleslaw made with vinegar. It was also hard to eat as the entrees are served in deep bowls and difficult to navigate with tiny Japanese chopsticks. With all the great dining options in Park City, I will not be returning anytime soon.
We came during Sundance so had the fixed menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and the waiter was very helpful with getting us served quickly so we could make our next movie on time. It's not cheap, but you get a lot of food. Would come again, would recommend to a friend.
We came during Sundance Film Festival second weekend. Our group were all locals and we had never eaten at Wahso before but have been to a ton of the other restaurants along Main St. OpenTable neglected to prompt us while booking the reservation that there was a prix fixed menu that was way overpriced. When we asked to separate it the server said we could just do entreès at $55/each. The food was above average and not very filling. I felt that we could have gotten Davanzas for $20 instead and been much happier. If you're looking for an expensive meal go to one of the other Asian or cuisine restaurants in Park City that's worth the money and experience.
The food here is upscale Chinese and it’s fantastic! Our server Peter was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and most of all, didn’t rush us, despite us closing the dining room on Monday. Thanks for the late reservation and the best dinner of Sundance for all of us. I understand the Prix Fixe menu, but it was a little too much food for us, that’s why the lower marks for value. But we’d recommend and return for sure!
Everyone took excellent care of us! The food was amazing! Thank you!
food is usually very good, however we made our reservation on Open Table and there was no mention that there was $85 Price Fixe until we opened the menu.
We had 5 spice duck app that had no spice. Coconut seafood salad that tasted not too dissimilar to a salad I bought at the supermarket.
Brussels sprouts were excellent as was the Tuna sashimi app.
Black cod dinner was not as flavorful as Shabu's version for half the price.
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were overwhelmed with the delectable food menu. The service by Dana was incredible & fun
