   I have been to Wahacca Brighton twice within the last month, and both times I felt the food was great, but the service badly lets them down, the staff work really hard and I don’t blame them , but I do feel more staff is needed. The first time I had my meal served and we was waiting for my husbands, I had to ask how long his would be as I was eating on my own. The second time we were waiting to order dessert and more drinks, but waited so long we just got the bill and went to a pub for a drink.

   Not been to Wahaca in 18 months and there have been some wonderful menu changes. Really enjoyed our meal today and service was excellent!

   Overall was very good, enjoyed the trio of margaritas, food was tasty. Would order a starter and main next time instead of the Wahaca for one as there was some good dishes on the menu. Service was good, attentive and nothing too much trouble.

   Where else would I go for a guaranteed great meal and warm welcome on my birthday?? We sat in the window and watched the very colourful world go by (it's Brighton) and tried some different small plates - it's so easy to always go for ones you already know & love, but also never a risk to try something different here - I've never struck something I haven't liked. The cactus tacos are fab, and the prawn dish is super light - REALLY nice. Refreshing even! Next time I'll go full brave and have a proper main instead of a feast of small plates. There's only so long I can resist pork belly for... LOL

   Our service at Wahaca was awful. As a first time customer we were given no advice on what to order and were not told that the small plates came out separately to the big plates. Our sides that we ordered came out before our meal and were cold by the time it came around to eating our meal. When asked how long our meals would be we were told abruptly that there’s nothing he can do and walked off. My mum had finished her meal 20 minutes before we even started and this was for a birthday so we all wanted to eat together!! At the end when I asked for the service charge to be removed politely the server shook his head and walked off. Finally when leaving the restaurant my partner tried to close the door but couldn’t so we left and one of the workers said make sure to close that next time in a rude manner. I WILL NOT be returning and would rather eat In Southampton than make the 2 hour journey to Brighton to eat here.

   Food was lovely but felt bit more expensive this time but maybe a sign of the times with cost of living. Im generally not a fan of chains but Wahaca always feels more personalised. The staff were brilliant as they always are in the brighton branch, so friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond helping my friend with a food intolerance navigate the menu.

   Delicious food as always, welcoming and lively yet relaxing ambience. One of our favourites places, and I am addicted to the Hortacha rice milk with cinnamon!

    We really enjoyed our date night at Wahaca Brighton. It was perfect for heading to the Brighton Dome for a show! It was easy to manage my husband’s allergies and the food was delicious!
