Wah Ji Wah
Booked a table for 8.45. Got there and was told to come back in 15 mins. Did- no change. Our table still had people with drinks etc. Another group were waiting and delayed. We left, so whilst the food smelt good we had no idea what it was like. A shame.
The fact this is a new venue is apparent with the fact there was only 1 server for the entire, somewhat small and not too intimate dining space. The food was exemplary. Having travelled to India and eaten copious authentic cuisine this is truly the closest you’ll get in Manchester. Definitely recommended & will revisit although the service could have improved. They wrote a manual receipt in ink which wasn’t ideal. The prices are reasonable and the Curries & in particular the bread phenomenal !
Service and food outstanding. All cooked fresh and able to see them cooking
Lunch - lots of choice, spoilt for choice in fact. Food was delicious and presented well. Service was attentive but not overly so.
No high chair provided even though I had requested one.
They were able to change dishes to suit dietary requirements which was a positive. Good ambiance however very small. Service could be a lot better, some starters came out with the mains and had to wait for the sides. But overall a nice place.
The food was really nice.
Indian food with a really nice twist.
Never tried it ss we have booked the table via trip advisor, got confirmation email, came to restaurant to find they have no table for us.
Spent a lovely hour looking for a table somewhere else as it was busy evening. Than you guys, great service...
So I booked a table for 4 people two hours ahead. When we got to the restaurant 15 minutes before, it was still packed with others. So we went to a local Irish pub because they asked us if we could wait for 20 minutes. That was not a problem, so we did.
Anyway when we came back we could sit and start our dinner.
I loved the open kitchen in the restaurant, so you could see the actual preparation of the food while waiting for it. All the tables were filled and what I noted was that almost every plate was empty when they were brought back to the kitchen for cleaning.
The food was very well cooked and also nicely decorated. The finishing touches on every dish were the key for me that they loved what they were doing, and you taste that as well.
The restaurant looked very modern and new, but for the food I can only recommend; book a table in advance and get yourself a great taste of India!
Whenever I visit Manchester again I will go back to this restaurant!!
Loved our evening dinner and will be back with friends soon. Food was exceptional and a lovely atmosphere with open kitchen overlooking the restaurant !
Excellent food, great service
We were visiting the town for a match.
I was impressed by the credentials of the chef/owner.
Decided to make a booking a booking.
So glad we did.
Dietary restrictions were no trouble.
Nothing was any trouble.
Food was high quality, freshly prepared with the emphasis on flavour rather than spicy and overly chilli.
On a par with some of London’s Michelin starred Indian venues.
Can not recommend it enough.
Kids loved it and they are fussy.
