   My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Wagyu Ya Teppenyaki. The staff answered all our questions and gave us great suggestions for drinks to match the course that we chose. All food was fresh and our chef prepared all our meals to perfection. All the staff were very knowledgeable regarding the food and courses that were brought to us, including the curing processes and how the food is kept before the meal. It was our first experience with teppenyaki, it was amazing and we will be suggesting Wagyu Ya to our friends and family. We will definitely be back!

   My first time at this restaurant and second time Teppanyaki ever. Overall the experience was ok. I booked a table for my first ever anniversary with my girlfriend. Atmosphere and location was good but service was questionable. During our meal we had someone come over to bring us food we didn’t order at least 6 times. Drinks were going to the wrong table and towards the end, they moved us out of the private room to eat desserts because the table was booked for someone else. The other customers ended up leaving and made a fuss about something in front of everyone. Food was amazing but at this price point, that is half the experience with many other options serving same if not better food. Overall would recommend due to food but I really expected KoKo level service for a $500 meal for 2…

   Teppanyaki was okay, but the service was not great, no one is taking the empty plates and change clean plates on time after you finish every dish.

   It was not my first visit but will be my last. I booked in early to have a nice Valentine date night but then turned out to be a disappointment. We booked for a general table, ordered our favourite A5 wagyu set + 2 tataki dishes + foie gras bibimbap. The staff confirmed that they DID NOT HAVE the teppanyaki set so we changed to a hot pot set (blackmore wagyu ox tail soup base). First, the staff brought out the bibimbap already mixed and served in 2 separate bowls while other tables had it served in a hot stone pot and mixed at the table. Tbh, it looks like some leftover and the flavour were not as good as we remembered. And also, it should be brought out last but it was served FIRST? The hot pot was brought out next WITHOUT A BURNER, literally just a pot with soup???? Really? I asked her to bring it back as we had not even had our entree to not make her embarrassed. The entree (salmon carpaccio and wagyu tataki) were actually good. When I called out the hotpot, it was brought out and NO SEPARATE CUTLERY was served. The soup was bland so I asked for some dipping sauce, but I needed to ask 3 times before a senior staff got them and brought out. Look at other table, they had their meat grilled at the table, so why the staff told me the teppanyaki set WERE NOT AVAILABLE???? The table next to us has their steak too, why only us not served????? It was not only disappointment but I felt like me and my husband were discriminated for whatsoever reason. The senior staff who brought the dipping sauce to us gave us some discount as an apologise. We usually spent around $450 for a meal at their branches (The Glen and South Yarra) as we loved the quality of food and service, but yesterday was actually a catastrophe and we don’t think we can ever come back to Wagyu-Ya The Glen again.

   It was such a great experience for my husband and I do for our wedding anniversary, would love to do it again soon ! Perfect and delicious food !

   Good food, service and very nice ambiance. We’ve done a teppanyaki session in the past at other places and it was more of a touristy gimmick with food throwing etc. not this one. This is the teppanyaki ongoing you want to really enjoy watching the chef cooks in front of you and present each dish with excellent presentation. A lot more expensive but worth splashing for a special occasion for.

   It’s an awesome experience to dine in Wagyu Ya Teppanyaki. All the food are really delicious and fresh. Especially the Wagyu beef, Salmon, Chicken steak, mushrooms and zucchini. The food are cooked with a special way by the chef in front of us. This made the textures of these food tastes really juicy and delicious. The fired rice is another remarkable dish that I will recommend. It tastes really soft and yummy when mixed with the fried eggs. The environment is really nice with traditional Japanese decoration style. The staff are really friendly and attentive. They provide excellent service for us. It is really a good restaurant in Glen shopping centre. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and family and colleagues.

   Nice quality of sea food but not for beef! Chef are not Japanese and the one who cooked for us seems too fresh on teppanyaki techniques. Need to pay deposit but can not be deducted from the bill so I have to pay the currency exchange rate difference for that. So better not to dine in this restaurant!
