Wagamama - Seaport
it’s not just japanese, chinese or korean. it’s a fresh take on great asian fusion food.
our exec chef has been travelling extensively across asia, selecting his favorite flavors and recipes and has given them a modern, nourishing twist, the wagamama way
we believe in eating informally | on long communal benches | together with your friends | when you want. come from work. come in your gym clothes. we call this nourishment from bowl to soul
Good selection, interesting dishes very well prepared, friendly and efficient service. Will definitely go back, lots of dishes to try. Don’t skip dessert. The lemon and almond tart was heavenly!
SOOOO much better than the one in Quincy Market! It wasn’t busy on Saturday night, and the service was Super Fast, and very friendly staff! Food came out super quick and it was great! We had 3 young kids, 2 teenagers, and 4 adults. No problem.
I’d highly recommend this location! Parking is very close (across the street) or on-street parking, if you can get one.
My girlfriend and I split edamame and each got a ramen bowl. All very tasty
Experience was great. Food was perfect. Service was fantastic. I used to go to wagamama and remember the app portions being bigger, I know it's in the seaport but paying a lot for a little isn't the best thing. However, they do make exceptional dishes, despite the size of portion.
Had a wonderful experience. The food service were both spot on. The only complaint I would have would be the ridiculously large ice cube in my cocktail.
Everything was wonderful from our server, Alex, to the delicious selections we made, to the surprise dessert for a birthday at the end (I had ticked off birthday when I made my reservation, but didn't know we'd get a surprise!). It's always the freshest meal and it's always scrumptious! I've been to other Wagamama's in London and in Boston's Faneuil Hall (not much of a view), but this new one in the Seaport looks out over the harbor and a view of the Financial District. Good all around!
Way too loud!
Great location with a fun, low-key vibe. You could come here for drinks and apps with friends but there were also plenty of families dining there, too! Great menu and the food was well prepared. Portion sizes are a little small (cocktails especially) but overall great experience!
Very good food and service the price was reasonable
The appetizers were tasty, the entrees were bland and dry.
We were one of just a few tables eating in the mostly empty restaurant. We had a window table with an excellent view. Service was friendly, but incredibly slow. I can’t imagine if they’d been busy. Luckily we weren’t in a rush and enjoyed our food.
The duck bowl was fabulous, but the service was a bit slow. And the chocolate cake desert was awesome
Disappointed in the food portions. No chicken into firecracker chicken and 4 shrimp! Typical corn starchy sauce! Best value was chicken ramen.
Would not return
I took my wife here before an event in the Seaport for a quick dinner. The food was pretty good, however, the service was lacking. We received items that we didn't order, our food was dropped onto the table randomly (received mains before appetizers) and I had to chase down my wife's entree after 10 minutes of my food being delivered. When the check came, the food that we didn't order was on the bill and they did remove it once prompted. Anyway, for quick ramen, this place is decent.. but do not expect great service.
Went for an early lunch with a group of 8. There were 4 other patrons in the restaurant at the time. I had to ask for a glass of water 3 times. This is what I ordered as my beverage so I don’t understand why I had to ask for it repeatedly.
Appetizers came quickly but our meals came right on top of them. A huge pet peeve of mine. Of course my meal arrived well after everyone else’s. I had to ask where it was.
The food was excellent. The service not so much.
Good food, but really poor service. Apps dribbled out with dinner. Not all were delivered. Check was wrong. Waiter had to be flagged down multiple times as he never came to table to check on meal. Plenty of other options to eat in that neighborhood. I'll be trying one of them next time.
Great restaurant with a great vairiety of options to choose from. Highly recommended for all ocasions
It was a very peasant experience. The curry was very good and the duck dombori and the teriyaki chicken was excellent. The service was only ok
Food is so-so. I first ate at Wagamama in Istanbul Turkey which was phenomenal and so far the stateside experience doesn’t measure up. Service was awful, had to ask 3 times for green tea and overall the service was slow.
Exceptional service, delicious food, nice area of Boston. We really enjoyed the experience.
Good value good food
Just OK. Service was very good. Food was adequate
As Japanese chains go, Wagamama is predictable and always tasty. We encountered pretty much the same menu here at the Boston location that we did in London Heathrow. The food is good but it better be for a $15 bowl of ramen. Our server was slow and inattentive. Unless you really want to sit outside, there’s no need to make a reservation for it, being in the shade and a cool day, there were plenty of tables available outside. Indoors required a reservation or a 15-20min wait.
We reserved the private room, which really wasn’t any quieter than the rest of the restaurant, but they did turn the music down so older members of our party could hear.
The food was good and fun. There wasn’t any overly American food, which was fine for me and most of us, but if you think you can get burgers or something ‘American,’ you might want to go elsewhere.
The bao were fantastic - we tried three varieties and loved them all. Groza - the same. A fun place, not expensive - particularly for that neighborhood, and a great location! We’ll be back!
Great restaurant with an excellent vibe. Perfect for a group outing!
Super tasty noodle dishes with ultra fresh ingredients and just enough heat. We thoroughly enjoyed our business lunch from a corner table overlooking the harbor. Also, we called ahead to let the restaurant know that we were running late for our 12 noon reservation. The host was exceptionally accommodating. Next time, we might try the outside seating which looked popular if a bit breezy.
Everything was good! A nice spot for lunch !
Service was slow, ordered my drink before my meal and had to ask 2x where it was, finally getting it when my meal was almost over. Food just okay nothing great and a bit over-priced. Staff more concerned with talking to each other than service, finally got a good waitress who didn't originally take our order but was the only one who was attentive and provided good sevice.
Delicious food but very slow service. Twenty minutes before we saw a server. One of two apps before we got drinks. There were maybe 5 tables with guests. We weren’t in a rush so not a huge deal but customers seemed perturbed. Never got water.
Pad Thai was very disappointing; not in a hurry to return
Everything was good but the servers seemed to be out of whack. Our meals got confused twice and there was no shrimp in the salad we ordered that was supposed to have shrimp. When asked for shrimp on the side, no one ended up bringing it over.
Love the food and service great meal. A great menu with plenty of healthy choices.
Party of 5 friends; we went at noon on a Saturday. Traffic was very light, but yet the service was not great. Took someone a few minutes to welcome us at the door. Once seated, the waitress was polite and efficient, if not particulary experienced. The food was quite good, though both of the people in our party who ordered the Pad Thai Salad were underwhelmed with the portion size.
40 minutes to get the ckeck after come wrong on first time. I’ll never come back to this place in my life.
Food was excellent. Simple, fresh, good fusion of Asian themes. Reasonably priced. Casual and comfortable, sleek design.
We were all pretty happy with the food, but the service was so bad, it's hard to recommend eating here. Our server came to take our order, but no one had given us menus. We had to ask for a fifth place setting at our table, which was only set for four people. Food arrived in no understandable order, and some hot dishes came before the cold appetizers we'd ordered.
Our server seemed - at best - unhappy to be serving us.
But the food was really quite good. So maybe if you have a better server, your experience will be much better than ours was.
Great vegan options!
