Two meals for our table did not arrive until all other guests were nearly finished… Unacceptable, never communicated by the staff, and no apologies were made
The ramen was so creative and delicious. The Bao buns were the best I've tried. Service was very attentive. We had a great time!!!
The food was good. The service was abismal. The server did not like her job and was obvious about it . I asked for water after waiting at the table for 10 minutes with no greeting and she actually aggressively put down the glasses and water sloshed out over the table and she did not apologize.
The past reviews show similar experiences. I liked the food but was so disappointed with the service.
We had a reservation at 5:30pm on a Monday prior to a Billy Joel concert, arrived a little early, and were immediately sat as the place was almost empty. No one came back to our table for 15 minutes, no waters, no introduction, none of it. Finally someone came and took our order, but still didn't bring us water! We had to ask TWO more times for water. The original margarita that was ordered was STRAIGHT tequila and insanely difficult to drink. The only help the restaurant offered was to bring 4 extra limes, instead of remaking the drink which we would have preferred. The limes didn't help, so we got desperate and even poured some of the water in it to try to make it drinkable. We were charged $15 for their fancy margarita, even though our plain/original one did NOT have anywhere near as much stuff in it as their Chili one did. The dumplings had no flavor and were insanely overcooked. The amount of chicken in the chicken pad thai was absolutely miniscule and quite honestly insane. The chicken katsu curry was not that good. but was a large amount of food which I guess is good. The beef bao tasted good (note, I am the BIGGEST bao fan), but there was once again, a miniscule amount of meat in them and they were practically empty. The vibes of the place were super nice, but the music was a little too loud. For the place being EMPTY, the service was terrible. I could possibly understand if it had been insanely busy, but there were max 6 other people in there, with numerous employees standing there doing nothing, just talking. We watched our server talk and joke with the bartender as she was forgetting to bring us our waters for the third time. Bill wasn't crazily overpriced, the only issue we had was the margarita price. Go at your own risk; I hope you have a better experience than we did.
Food was great. Bathrooms were disgustingly dirty. If I had gone to bathroom prior to eating I
Jamie is so wonderful and caring!! The manager made sure we were comfortable and our food came out hot and fresh. The calamari is addictive, and so are the duck lettuce wraps & pork bao buns!
Thanks so much for the delicious food and loving experience!!
I took my Mom here, the table was kind of sticky upon arrival. Not sure if the staff was spread thin or they were busy but service was on the slower side. I also have a spice allergy and ended up with sriracha on one of our items after explaining. Food was overall good though and the panko banana dessert is my favorite.
Nice casual place. They need a more extensive menu but what they do, they do well.
The staff were great, especially Felix! Food was good and service was cool. The only thing was that both bathrooms were a mess but overall lovely experience. I’ve come to this restaurant multiple times and always enjoy myself.
Good food and good service...very well priced for portions
Food poorly executed, favourite items removed from menu- eg prawn/yasai gyoza.
Not many vegetarian options
Wow what a great experience. Such friendly & amazing staff from the hostess to the waiters . Typically you don’t experience energy where it appears everyone is in a friendly and good mood. Incredible service as we celebrated a wonderful reunion with friends. Thank you.
Huge space, nice layout. The the service was just not right. We ordered and got the foods before they serve the water. Asked several times for sharing dish. The salad we ordered as appetizer came at the last of our meal. Everything tasted good but I wouldn’t go back.
Great service. Underwhelming food though - I had the duck leg ramen which arrived kinda cold and lacked flavor.
I feel bad they were severely understaffed but they got our order wrong multiple times and the food Just wasn’t good
My three friends and I came here to get dinner, but we were immediately disappointed by the lack of fast seating. We came at our reservation time but we weren’t seated until 25 minutes after because there were a lot of people and they weren’t prepared for such big groups.
After we got seated, we ordered really quickly and got our food immediately as well. It was delicious, but we were extremely tired from waiting. It was also difficult to get any waiters’ attention because they were extremely busy with other customers.
We ordered the pad thai, gyozas, ramen, etc,. They were all good, but the service was what made the experience not as good.
The service was awful. They forgot my friends order. Had to wait more for my friend go get his food. They didnt give us water, and the waiter/waitress was rude
Food was lacking
The service was slow. The food came out at different times. Some dishes were really good. Others were average
Great spot for a big group dinner! The prices are great and the staff is very friendly!
Server forgot drink and other sides!
We enjoyed a late Sunday lunch here. Our server was very friendly, as was all the staff. Food was tasty - my ramen soup could have been hotter. All in all, we had a good time. We like to go to Wagamama in England and haven't been able to go so this was fun for us, even though they didn't have 'raw juice' that my husband usually orders! ;)
Fantastic meal for us and our son (6). Very friendly service, great selection, meal packed with umami, and picky kid loved his ramen.
I haven't been to a Wagamama since 2013 in London and was very excited to finally try out the new NYC locations. The restaurant was very impressive inside and all of the food and drinks—both what we ordered and what the tables near us ordered—looked amazing.
Wait staff Amazing
Usually this location is great. I can with my family and our server couldn't get one of our orders straight for over an hour. And when the order finally came it was still wrong. People working in the restaurant industry are over worked right now, restaurants are under staffed. We were patient and understanding but disappointed that our daughter who waited over an hour and half for her meal and juice left with no meal at 10pm. It was a bummer.
The table service was horrible and disappointing, considering it was not as busy.
Dessert portion of ice was literally a tablespoon for 10 dollars. will think thrice before going back.
Delicious food. Drinks took a long time. But guests were allowed to walk through the restaurant (indoors) without a mask. And not much regard for social distancing.
Great staff! Great food! Love it here
This is a great option for a quick and delicious dinner for under $20 an entree in a city where $30 is expected.
Just an all around solid choice for good food at a reasonable price point. Service was spot on.
It was delicious
This was a perfect spot for lunch before heading to MSG on a Sunday! I have been to Wagamamas in the UK and France so I was excited to see there were 2 in midtown! Friendly service, inventive cocktails, and reliable flavorful and healthy asian fusion!
waited an hour for one dish during a weekday lunch. The restaurant was pretty empty but the kitchen was busy making Doordash/Uber Eats/etc orders instead of filling the orders of folks who are sitting in their restaurant. Won't go back.
Amazing food and amazing service!
Always consistently fantastic! Great food and great service.
The waiter was wonderful and the ambience was great! The yuzu cocktail is a must.
I think the service can be probably improved. Asked for no Mushrooms, that was not incorporated etc.
Literally the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. They’re short staffed, not attentive at all. Took 30 mins to bring me water, hour for food (food was awful like awful) but the waiter didn’t even come back once after taking the order to even inform him how bad the food was. Had to flag someone down to order and had to flag someone down to pay.
Service was absolutely horrible!
