We really wanted to like this place! Unfortunately, we were seated at a table inside in the back with a couple dead flys on it. NBD. I just took the menu and dusted them onto the floor. Looking at the all next took us, that’s what everyone else must have done because there was an unusual build up of flys on the ground against the walls. They had only been open for a couple hours but a build up of dead flies around you for the price tag attached to the meal, was pretty disappointing.

We loved our server Bre. She was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was subpar. Ordered BLT. Had so much lettuce and 2 small pieces of bacon. A thicker cut bacon would’ve been more palatable. Husband ordered biscuit and gravy. Came in large bowl, small biscuits. So glad the husband ordered a side of eggs and sausage. Looking forward to seeing what kind of soups are available

What a cool vibe! We moved to Rockwall September 2024 and had driven by Wade's a number of times. What a hidden gem. Always people coming and going and we kept saying 'we have to try that place out' We went on a Sunday for brunch the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance so chill, we ate on the patio but will be coming back for live music and to hang out. Excellent dishes, I recommend the donuts and the watermelon candy margarita.

The venue was adorable! The perfect place to take my 14 year old niece and her mother for brunch. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was excellent.

Made a reservation for Mother’s Day at 545pm. Got seated promptly and was greeted by our server who was engaging and attentive. We ordered an appetizer and drinks which came out timely. Immediately after getting our first drinks and appetizer we were told the kitchen had a ticket hold on new orders so they weren’t taking orders for 15 minutes. We said that’s fine as we were enjoying the atmosphere and drinks. About 10 minutes later our server came back after noticing our drinks were empty and we ordered another round of drinks. 10 minutes passed again or server came back I asked if we could now put in our order since 20+ minutes had passed. She took our order and left. She then came back and said they were out of the pork chop special and my wife had to order something else. Not sure how you run out of the special on Mother’s Day at 615pm with no new orders going in for about 30 minutes but ok she picked something else. About 10 minutes later I overheard our server telling another table there was another kitchen hold on orders and I looked around at maybe a 60% full restaurant and though we were lucky to get an order in at all. At 7pm there was still no food at our table and our server came by and said she checked on our ticket and it would be prepared soon. I though what did soon mean so after about 10 minutes I got up and tracked down our server and conveniently enough a manager Alex was near and he said he checked on our ticket and it should be another 15-20 minutes. At this point it was 7:20 pm. We had been at our table since 5:45pm and l decided we had given enough patience and grace to Wade’s landing. I told the manager we were not waiting any longer and paid our check and left. We had a similar experience once prior and thought they would have known how to prepare and run a Mother’s Day with a 60% full restaurant. As we left we noticed empty tables left and right and overheard another family upset they had waited 2 hours and still nothing for them either.

It was Mother’s Day and we had a reservation for 3:30. They seated us immediately then told us they had stopped putting orders into the kitchen so the kitchen could catch up. We waited 30 minutes before they began taking food orders again. Never experienced anything like that before. We usually like eating there.

The good: very cool decor and vibe inside. Our server, Kelly, was so great. We started with the waffle board, deviled eggs and hummus. All of these tasted great. The waffle board was everyone's favorite. Waffles were crispy and soft and all the toppings to go on top were nice. The sausage tastes homemade and was great. I like how many options they have for small plates for brunch. Most brunches shave such limited menus with few or no appetizers. Entrees: salmon toast was delish! The not-so-great: through no fault of her own, service was slow because the kitchen was backed up and I don't know if they were properly staffed for Mother's Day brunch. Kelly was good about setting realistic expectations but that doesn't change the fact that we waited a ridiculous amount of time for food. Entrees: biscuit and sausage gravy was terrible. The gravy had little flavor, was very watery and lots of ground of bits of sausage but because it was not thick like gravy, the bits all went to the bottom of the bowl. The biscuits were equally terrible. I've never had a biscuit that was so dense and inconsistent. Just a very strange take on a biscuit and not in a good way. Banana bread French toast- mediocre. Semi dry Migas- mediocre. Nothing stand out. Very little avocado salsa and it seemed watered down at well. I would go back one more time to get the really great appetizers and try something else to give it a shot.
