   It was a fun atmosphere. Wish we would have gotten to see more planes but since it was dreary and raining outside, it's not surprising. Not at all the fault of the restaurant. They ensured that our dining experience was good! The food and drinks were great. I like the selection!

   We had a table over looking runway, fantastic. Food was wonderful and recommended anyone looking for a unique place to relax and enjoy a meal, try Waco Kitchen.

   Overall we always have great service and great food. This particular night, our server was less than par. We even had to ask another staff member if they could find our server so we could pay as we had been done for a while but she was no where to be found.

   The food is so very delicious. The staff is wonderful and you can’t be watching airplanes, land and takeoff. What a cool concept in a restaurant in a small town.

    Had a very nice dinner at Waco last night. Everything was outstanding. I had the scallops which were fabulous, and my fiance had the pork chop, and we shared the pork belly for an appetizer. The prices are a bit higher so we won't be able to go as often as we would like, but the service and atmosphere are exquisite.

    After 2 years this place has only become more unprofessional and poorer quality food. We were told that the reason they were out of several menu items was because they had been closed over Xmas and will close again for New Year's, so they weren't ordering fresh food. Guess what the guest hears? You're eating the old stuff that we've got left. We were told the reason we waited over 10 minutes for cocktails was because the bartender didn't show up for their shift so they were all trying to figure out how to make the signature cocktails we ordered - 3 cocktails. We asked for water for the table and only got 5. Had to ask twice for a 6th. With a reservation, we were crammed into the indoor/outdoor area with all the other tables. No guests were seated in the main dining room. It was quite cool and proceeded to get cooler. Eventually it was 67 degrees. The manager apologized and then told us that the heater wasn't working but maybe after she messed with the thermostat it would get better. It didn't. We weren't moved into the dining room where the heater was working. The waitress was clueless, friendly, but just inept. She was a deer in the headlights when asked for menu recommendations. Embarrassing. The kitchen forgot the second duck entree. We were one of about five parties in the restaurant. We couldn't wait on the entree to arrive as our food was rapidly chilling in the frigid air. The couple split the Buffalo chicken wrap which was basically a Bleu cheese wrap and nearly inedible. I had the $40 prime rib. Bland and not seared as advertised. Vegetables were seared in copious amounts of burnt oil. Had it been $20, I would have been fine with it but at $40 you expect a bit of special. The forgotten duck entree was comped and delivered in a to go box. I would have preferred the entire meal comped but that's the last time I visit Waco. The menu is a confused unrelated chaos and no one was impressed with their entree. Service continues to be silly.

    WACO Kitchen is a gem here in Battle Creek. Great food and drinks. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.

    Service was very good, attentive. Unfortunately, the corned beef on the Reuben sandwiches was nearly inedible for the three attendees who ordered it. No one wanted to make a fuss, so I don’t know how the restaurant would have responded to a complaint. I would try it again and hope the current menu includes some of the items I saw in the pictures on the website, which looked very good.

    We went for a Birthday dinner. Friendly welcoming staff. Not a large selection of beer, but we found one that was ok. Our first 2 appetizers (bretzel and scallop)were very good. The harvest salad with salmon was good although I like my root vegetables were not quite roasted enough fir my liking. The burger was good but the broccoli was hard and crunchy(again I like it done a bit more). Also, if you put diced onions on a burger you may want to tell the diner on the menu that’s how it comes. It is a nice modern space and is a great place to have a meal and watch the planes come in and out. We will be back.

    My wife and I had a bay week at work. We decided we needed a little escape so we climbed in the Bonanza and flew to Battle Creek to Waco Kitchen. I had a Maple Bourbon Pork Chop that was absolutely divine. Our servicer was excellent and very knowledgeable. Perfect evening

    Viewing the tarmac, watching a small private plane fly in for dinner and the very minimalist, spotless decor/design makes for great ambience! Our drinks were disappointing, as the liquor menu excluded our preferred liquors. Cobb Salad had fresh avocado but was unimaginative with watery, flavorless Ranch dressing. My friend's BBQ Burger with fries was average, local dive bars have tastier burgers. We will try again, as that was our first dinner there. In the past, breakfasts have been great!

    Two of our meals were missing items. The waiter didn’t notice that the bacon macaroni was missing bacon. And in my fuel up bowl there was lettuce replaced for the cabbage roll that is described in the menu. This was our first time there and probably will not come back.

    Food was good though some was overpriced. $10 for a tiny piece of dry carrot cake.? The service seemed like it was everyone's first week. No body could answer questions. It was awkward with how little the servers and staff seemed to know. I would try again a second time and see how it it and make a decision then if it is worth it.

    It was a beautiful sunset ambiance and was neat to be able to see the planes pulling into the lot. We even got to see a plane take off into the sunset, literally. Food was delicious with dynamic flavors, drink was yummy. All around wonderful experience and classy presentation

    The area we were seated in was not clean. Underneath the tables was dirty and chairs had not been wiped out. The quality of their food has really gone down since they first opened. Soup wasn’t hot, barely warm. The view is nice.

    The food was very good and a nice variety. Though the ambience was great, it was almost too quiet. Like you couldn’t chat among yourselves without everyone hearing, a little background music would be nice.

    Very good for a business lunch outing / team celebration. They accommodated al >12 of us. Menu choices are somewhat limited, but what they have is good. I would recommend their burgers. I have had the fish before and was disappointed.
