Wabi Sabi Ratings and Reviews
worse japanese restaurant I have been to in a long time. Not only was the value horrible but the food quality was so bad. It was a meal that cost over 500.00 (i have no issues spending money on food, just spent well over $700 for same family members two nights earlier)
Love going to Wabi Sabi! Went here with a friend just to catch up. The food is always good... yummy typical sushi. Not the best sushi in LA for sure, but very good, and the prices are reasonable too. It's also just a lot of fun with the cocktails and the scene is high energy. Perfect for a Saturday night. The only reason I am rating the service so poorly is that it took 25 minutes for the waitress to take our order, and then she basically forgot about us again and it then took at least a half hour for us to get her to bring us the check. Basically she just seemed super overwhelmed, which didn't seem to be her fault as much as the restaurant because it honestly seemed like the area we were in was pretty understaffed for a packed Saturday night. The host was awesome though and everyone was really friendly!
We were visiting from the east coast and found this place via Yelp. Great bar scene with diverse selection for cocktails. Bartender wasn't very friendly though. Cool atmosphere with really good food. Server was attentive and helpful with describing sushi. Glad we went and would definetly go back.
Enjoyed this restaurant from the moment we arrived. The hostess was very accommodating considering one of our friends had a mix up and couldn't join. Cocktails we ordered at the bar were creative and delicious! I really liked the "Aloe you so much" (think that was the name) and my husband loved the Shooter McGavin (basically a John Daly).
Food was also great - our server gave us a few specific recommendations, all of which were hits - the yellowtail special was my personal favorite!
Everything was delicious, just a little bit overpriced in my opinion. But, that's to be expected in Venice. We ordered the edamame both the regular version and the garlic chili version. We had the Sashimi Bowl Chef's Choice, crispy rice, crunchy roll, rock shrimp, California roll, and gyoza. Our waiter was very friendly and his man bun was on point! They also let us choose our table and we got the Cozy booth in the little Corner Nook and it was absolutely perfect for our group of four.
