One of my favorite sushi joints.....the food is always great and consistent. Some favorites are the yellowtail sashimi and the spicy tuna on crispy rice. There bar areas open to the street is wonderful during late afternoons.

Service lackluster and the food is no Sugarfish. Design is very cool, but you can't eat it.

Where to start? we waited 45 minutes for our food. Sashimi arrives and 2 minutes later a waiter comes and takes the plate away. Wrong table.. At least they took the sashimi out of the bill but I will not return.

I took my mom that was visiting for a nice dinner. The server kept forgetting our food but the overall experience is good. The place is really cute. The food is overpriced but most are in this area.

worse japanese restaurant I have been to in a long time. Not only was the value horrible but the food quality was so bad. It was a meal that cost over 500.00 (i have no issues spending money on food, just spent well over $700 for same family members two nights earlier)

The location and ambiance is great. However, the server was terrible and extremely rude and argumentative. Under no circumstances would I recommend or return to this establishment.

Although we had to wait 45 min past our reservation time, the waitress and manager were very apologetic and made up for their delay w a bottle of wine and a complimentary app. The food was great and we enjoyed our dinning experience despite the slow start.

Recommendation: Go and go again. I'll be back soon.

Love going to Wabi Sabi! Went here with a friend just to catch up. The food is always good... yummy typical sushi. Not the best sushi in LA for sure, but very good, and the prices are reasonable too. It's also just a lot of fun with the cocktails and the scene is high energy. Perfect for a Saturday night. The only reason I am rating the service so poorly is that it took 25 minutes for the waitress to take our order, and then she basically forgot about us again and it then took at least a half hour for us to get her to bring us the check. Basically she just seemed super overwhelmed, which didn't seem to be her fault as much as the restaurant because it honestly seemed like the area we were in was pretty understaffed for a packed Saturday night. The host was awesome though and everyone was really friendly!

We were visiting from the east coast and found this place via Yelp. Great bar scene with diverse selection for cocktails. Bartender wasn't very friendly though. Cool atmosphere with really good food. Server was attentive and helpful with describing sushi. Glad we went and would definetly go back.

I dig the new decor, but not as much as the old look. The atmosphere was like exciting window dressing on the lackluster food. There is excellent sushi in LA, for half this price, but Wabi Sabi makes mediocre sushi.

Very hip and busy spot right on Abbot Kinney in Venice, good prices and good food, but nothing spectacular. Drinks are great, waits at the bar can get long on weekend nights. Generally busy and pretty loud, but a good solid place and cool atmosphere!

Enjoyed this restaurant from the moment we arrived. The hostess was very accommodating considering one of our friends had a mix up and couldn't join. Cocktails we ordered at the bar were creative and delicious! I really liked the "Aloe you so much" (think that was the name) and my husband loved the Shooter McGavin (basically a John Daly).

Food was also great - our server gave us a few specific recommendations, all of which were hits - the yellowtail special was my personal favorite!

We love Wabi; just one challenge this visit. They put 5 people at a table for 4. We were cramped and had to use the table next to us to hold our dishes. Next time, please set your parties accordingly so we can relax during the meal!

Everything was delicious, just a little bit overpriced in my opinion. But, that's to be expected in Venice. We ordered the edamame both the regular version and the garlic chili version. We had the Sashimi Bowl Chef's Choice, crispy rice, crunchy roll, rock shrimp, California roll, and gyoza. Our waiter was very friendly and his man bun was on point! They also let us choose our table and we got the Cozy booth in the little Corner Nook and it was absolutely perfect for our group of four.
