Loud in the dining room, slow service but food was pretty good!
Food portions were very generous. More importantly, the service was outstanding!
This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. The food, service and ambiance were all terrific. While we were in the bar dining room (could have done without a TV), the spacing was good and the dining experience overall was very good. This was a special occasion (birthday) and we will definitely return.
Courtyard is beautiful, service was excellent, food was delicious!
Loved our dining experience at Vyne-seated promptly for our reservation, service was very attentive but not rushed, everyone in our party really enjoyed their meal and cocktails-will definitely return!
Ordered prime rib medium and a rare ribeye came out. Sent it back 2 still raw 3 rd time char broil. Still wasn’t a prime rib as advertised or wouldn’t be rare in middle of seared outsides. Also ordered a 22 oz veal porterhouse, maybe 7-8 oz of meat total all bone. Manager took 1 meal off to compensate the size of bone but what about the prime rib even prime rib. The small size veal porterhouse was cold by the time the other steak came back for the 3rd time. Didn’t want to eat at different times with my spouse on our anniversary.Very bad experience.
Easter Sunday, food was delicious, service was wonderful
Beautiful place and the food is good. Truffle fries are outstanding. Portion is great as well.
Fabulous meal with a great waitress in a beautiful location!
The pricing is not exorbitant but still is high for the portions.
We drove from Milford because my in laws love this restaurant and I am so glad we took that 30 minute drive because this might have just become one of my favorite restaurants.
I was so impressed they actually looked at my reservation and read that I needed a high chair because most restaurants ignore that part and make you wait, well not at Vyne. When we got there our table was ready and the high chair was already there which was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious! We had filet and linguini with clams and it was so good!
The head Chef saw my 2 year old looking at around and came to the table to say hi to her. He was so sweet to her and even gave her some ice cream and a chocolate! This was such a nice touch and made us feel so special and comfortable!
This is by far the most beautiful and amazing restaurant in middlebury.
Awesome restaurant - from the drinks, food, ambiance, service. A bit pricey but worth every penny!
Always a wonderful meal and experience. Great service and ambiance.
Food and service was excellent. The customers were socially distanced although I felt it was noisy in the restaurant. Always a quality meal.
Great ambiance and food
Food, service and atmosphere are always reliably excellent at Vyne. Nice spot for a special lunch or dinner.
Excellent food and beautiful restaurant, a little pricey!
The Brussels Sprouts are a must. Only thing was that we didn’t get to enjoy them long enough. Our dinners were brought out almost right on top of it. And we were delivered the check before we order another round of after dinner drinks.
Our waitress Lauren was amazing.very attentive and did not rush us at all. We will definitely be returning soon.
Service was awesome Kaitlyn did a great job super helpful when the Lemon martini my wife ordered wasn’t very good. Had the Shrimp Fra Diavalo and it was amazing. I couldn’t get my Creme Brûlée as the torch was broken but other than that awesome job.
Service was a bit slow but drinks, apps, entrees, and desserts were all delicious!
The only thing I would like to see changed is the way they seat people during Covid. But we’re accommodating when I asked to switch tables.
Apps were amazing. The white sangria was so good. Our server Lauren was the absolute best. Overall good place to go for a date
The place was beautiful and service was very nice just enough to check in and the food was fast. Only thing was that expected the food to have an over the top flavor and was let down for the entrees. The potatoes and vegetables were very good but the prime steak had no salt and pepper flavor on the outside of the meat. It was a let down when I can flavor the steak better at home. The pork shank was very nice but yet again the lack of the over the top flavor you expect from a fancy night out. The desserts that we had were top notch the creme brûlée and the almond joy tart. And also the Irish coffee. Nice experience but was let down on the entrees. Probably be back for dessert and a drink sometime but not an entree
Went for Valentine’s Day , would definitely recommend! Can’t wait to go back in the summer to enjoy the outside set up
Wish I have more options of where to sit! We were place way back and corner. Like to be in a better open space.
The food was delicious, very generous portions. We were not disappointed in any part of our meal. Definitely do not skip dessert
Took my girlfriend to this restaurant, the buildings looks very nice and the inside looks very nice but the food was awful. I got the seared scallops and the scallops were really good and so was the asparagus but the rice was terrible. My girlfriend and I both agreed that the rice was absolutely horrendous. The waitress didn’t introduce herself at first I had to break the silence by saying hi. Food was not worth the price and the service was mediocre. I’ll give this place a solid 5/10.
The food was subpar. The dessert was the best part really. Our waitress was attentive, but lacked in personality.
beautiful restaurant. service was excellent. plating of dinner was just okay.
The food and service was excellent. The one big negative is that we were seated upstairs in a large room with no ambiance what so ever. It was Valentines eve, I wish I was told before hand that I was not going to be seated in the main dinning room. I would have gone some place else.
Our waitress. Kaitlynn was fantastic! Very attentive, polite, and frequently checked on us. The prime rib was okay but I expected better. Too much fat and grizzle. My last visit was much better so I will go back again.
Always a great meal, delicious food - beautiful restaurant.
Great food, great service, great cocktails 👍🏼
For all the Covid issues considered it was an excellent meal -
I rarely pen a critique having been in the Hospitality business. I hope this will be taken as constructive criticism.
Vyne is a very stylish and comfortable restaurant with good food.
If I take my wife and two teenagers for dinner and the bill is
$260. Inclusive of a 20% gratuity I expect A lOT more!
. A person to be at the hostess station when I leave to thank me and say good night.
. A server who has real knowledge of the food and beverage menus-at this price point a smile and being super friendly isn’t enough!
.why did I have to ask for bread and why does it come with butter pat’s like the diner, why isn’t it warm and special.
. Why is my first draft in a 12 oz glass and the next in a pint.
.The restaurant wasn’t crowded on a Friday night, no one had the time to welcome me and say hello ?
.who serves mussels on a flat plate and such a small portion- obviously dictated by the plate choice. Mussels only cost $4. Per pound?
. My wife’s fish was so encrusted with hazelnuts you couldn’t taste the fish?
. Why did all the kitchen staff have a mask accept one person- is that person immune from COVID?
Vyne is a lovely restaurant, but if you are going to charge BIG BOY prices you have too deliver on all fronts!
Great meal service and experience at Vyne for New Years
Well, it was New Years Eve so I have to be fair, even though we had a reservation I guess I was expecting a better meal or I should say a hot meal, since there was less people and the place was nearly empty so there was no excuse for any kitchen blunders. I must confess the place is lovely, the servers were excellent, the drinks perfect, but the dinner came out tepid, which we were anxiously awaiting and hoping for something really amazing. I mean, everything up to the entree was just escalating our mood and our curiosity at how wonderful it would be. I had a Bearnaise sauce on my Veal Oscar and it was like jello and there's nothing less appetizing then a sauce that starts to congeal and the lobster did not taste fresh but maybe out of a can? We are fishermen so we know fresh seafood. We did not come for the fish or lobster but for the New England country experience. The plates were stoneware so they had the ability to heat them in the oven before plating, which would have kept the food nice and hot and the sauce as it should have been, so that is why I said "no excuse". The prime rib looked perfect but, was so tough it needed to be sawed. The lamb chops were cut by two ribs and were raw in the center, and I suspect that the Fois Gras duck appetizer was pork liver since I have had both and it was definitely not duck liver. IN addition it came in a terrine, about 8 oz at least, with 3 tiny little crackers. We wondering what to do with the rest of it? It should have come with more then 3 crackers for a $21.00 price tag (for appetizer). If they had served fresh baked rolls(but not) it would not have been a problem since we would have settled for pork liver and bread. The chopped salad and pork belly appetizer were very good, no complaints about that. Overall, I would recommend going here, just make sure you question them and even ask to speak to the chef and make your requests clear, Which we did not, since we expected them to serve everything perfectly.
