Vue de Monde might be tasting-menu only, but it still feels pretty casual and it has views from the 55th floor of the Rialto.
An amazing experience with service that is second to none. I planned to propose to my partner and Vue De Monde provided the perfect table. They were attentive and ready with champagne upon my proposal...they were unaware when it was to happen but were all over it when it did.
Furthermore Raj took us out to a private balcony where a little celebratory treat had been prepared for us. The night could not have gone any better and the staff of Vue De Monde played their part to perfection.
The meal was excellent - one of the best I've ever had, and they made sure to make my wife's birthday a special one. Thanks again for an amazing evening.

Vue de Monde has no pretensions: it knows who it is and doesn't to try to be something it isn't. That said, it is a superlative dining experience. Everything in the right place, at the right time and in the right quantity. A perfectly balanced evening where time stops as soon as you are greeted.
They source their food from all around Australia. I was very amazed with the quality of the food. Tasmanian sea urchin, cured kangaroo, prawn & crab sausage just to name a few of the dishes I had will be the few items I will be looking forward to trying in other restaurants in the future.
Vue de Monde was just as amazing as the first time I went. The food was exquisite and the service was impeccable and friendly. I would always recommend coming down.
The experience from start to finish was superb. Staff amazing. Food out of this world. The wines were first class and the menu was one of the most extensive I have seen. The tour of the kitchen was a nice touch. The sommelier was fantastic. Very knowledgeable.

Vue hasn’t disappointed. It’s the second time I have given it as a gift to a friend and both times it has provided the most special experience one can have. The food, the wine, the staff, the theatre, the space and the time it provides makes it the best way ever to catch up with someone to continue sharing your history with.
Vue de Monde was a true experience of degustation on all levels. Amazing array of perfectly balanced and particular flavors coupled with exquisite presentation and some interaction with a couple of dishes. We went for my daughter’s graduation and I’d already offered her and her partner a dinner at VdM last valentine’s and she expressed her wish to go back. We always go to hatted or Michelin restaurants both at home in Italy and abroad but I feel the price here was a little steep.
I think the most satisfying thing about Vue de Monde was the service. The attention we received felt genuine and sincere. The food was, as one would imagine, fantastic.

We enjoyed the Seasonal Tasting menu with matched wines. The food was full of rich, wonderful tastes from uniquely Australian ingredients. It was truly an interesting taste experience. The level of service is extraordinary with a table attendant to explain the menu, a server to bring the food, and a very knowledgeable sommelier to tell you about the excellent wines. The attendants are sure to hold your chair whenever you sit. An experience unlike anything we’re ever going enjoy again.

I have stage 4 gastric cancer (actually a rare form of it called Krankenburg Cancer) and the level of care, attention and kindness from the staff was exceptional. They ensured I was comfortable, able to digest my meals and adapted some of the meals so I could eat. I was moved to tears with their efforts ❤️
Wowee! We had such a magical experience at Vu de monde.
The whole time we were there we were treated like royalty, from the moment we entered the lift until the very end of the evening it felt like they went above and beyond the whole time.
The cocktails and view in Lui's bar were amazing, then the ambience, staff, wine and of course the food was simply incredible.

The only thing against this restaurant was not being shown the receipt to check the drinks were what we ordered. As my daughter organised the meal directly with the restaurant and she had provided her payment details they didn't give us the option to look at the cost of the drinks as we wanted to pay for them ourselves as our daughter was paying for the meal. I thought payment was to be made at reception downstairs, but they said the account had been settled.
The service was exceptional and that’s not a word I often use. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing! Simply amazing. Was here 4 years ago and was amaze then and going in this time we were concern the food will not live up to our expectations but we were blown away. The food was beyond our expectations. After a very disappointing night before at Attica, we were so happy with the quality of food given. Every dish has its own moment. We will be back.

Amazing view, friendly service, fresh ingredients but the broth was way too salty. The duck wasn’t cooked well. Given the feedback to the staff immediately but nothing changed. Not worth to pay $310 per person.
A truly special experience for a milestone birthday. The staff did everything to make it memorable. Almost perfect, with two small exceptions: pre-dinner drinks (Lui bar-separate to restaurant) did not come and had to remind them. Also, my view from the dinner table was a little obstructed. However the birthday person had a perfect outlook- so all was fine. The food was fabulous and we enjoyed the explanations. The extra 'touches' of breakfast and an emailed menu enhanced a wonderful evening.

Such a special place. Loved the degustation menu. It has the fire, cheese trolley, the location with a view to kill! Immaculate service! Total package! Definitely go for it! It’s a great place for a special occasion! An experience of a lifetime. On my bucket list for a few years and I’m so ecstatic I finally made it. Dessert was my highlight. Chocolate soufflé! Just amazing.

Varied selection of fantastic food, expensive yes, but real value when you consider the quality of ingredients, fantastic presentation, the surroundings in the restaurant, the view from the 55th floor, the amount of work required to produce such dishes and the standard of service.
Been here few years before. Had about 17 dishes for the set menu this time, they were like: appetizer, appetizer, appetizer, appetizer, appetizer, appetizer, main course, main course, appetizer, appetizer, appetizer, appetizer, appetizer, desert, desert and desert. Wonderful experience but just too sour for us, maybe need some mild stuff to balance, otherwise it's going to be over-appetizing.
But this is majorly a personal taste, good job Vue De Monde.
foods are good and French style as it is a French restaurant and mix a bit with Asutralian style. some courses are salty and deserts are too sweet. good table services and wonderful introduction with each course.
Duck course was inedible: texture of rubber! (What is this mania for serving duck very rare: as soon as it cools the fat underneath the skin is inedible and the meat cannot be cut). Stay with the Chinese: cook duck properly!
Some of the courses were over salted.
The kangaroo wasn’t very palatable: reminded me of the kangaroo meat my mother used to feed our cat.
A disappointing experience for such a hyped restaurant.
Exquisite food and service
Clearly a top Michelin restaurant (if you had that in Australia). One of the best tasting menus I’ve experienced, top service and excellent wine pairing (with an excellent advisory by the sommelier). The ambiance and the views are at level. If you have one restaurant to visit in Melbourne, this should be it.

Excellence is the only was to describe the dining experience we had at Vue de Monde this week. Evry dish was expertly prepared and presented, every wine pairing was just perfect, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, expertly taking care of every detail of our evening. We chose Vue de Monde to celebrate a milestone birthday, and it was perfect in every way.

I have been wanting to dine at Vue de Monde for a very long time and was disappointed with my experience. The food was average and we should have had a menu with a description of whar we were eating on the night not sent via email a day later.
This was by far, the most magical dining experience of my life.
Went here for a special occasion and the team made it exactly that, little surprises from start to finish really made this experience so much more special.
Fine dinning but a friendly and relaxed atmosphere made this a truly memorable occasion.
So it wasn't cheap but it was extravagant and abundant.
Every time we felt we could had a another one of those, the staff picked up on it and another one appeared.
The table and space was huge making it a personal experience.
