The service was quite slow. waited more than an hour for main entree. steak was good but did not see anything especially unique on the menu. was hoping for more inspiring meals from the Voltaggio brothers.
Our waiters Matt and Melissa were amazing! Matt recommended the Cauliflower Steak for a side and it was incredible!! One of the best filets that I’ve ever had and the Pisco Punch was so good! Highly recommended!!
We went with friends, a couple, to celebrate two birthdays. The food was excellent and fairly priced. Great selection of wine as well. What made the night extra great was the service. The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly and had perfect timing all night. The guys had the Wagyu, I had a bone in ribeye and my friend had the filet. All were excellent. The pork lettuce wrap was great as an appetizer and the au gratin potatoes were delicious. Ryan, the sommelier and manager went above and beyond. His wine selection for dinner was perfect with all our steak cuts. The dessert wine surprise selection was something new and delicious, as well as reasonably priced. His interaction with us really made the meal memorable. We had all four desserts to share, which was really fun. We’ll definitely keep it as a go to for a night out.
We had a 7:30 pm reservation but were seated at 8:05 pm. We had a concert to attend at 9 pm. So we pointed out our time constraints. We were seated anyway. And then the waitress insisted that there was time to order an entrée. Our assumption was that we should have ordered heavy appetizers since we did not have enough time. So, we ended up being rushed and were only able to eat a portion of our meals before having to race off to the concert.
Went here for dinner with a group of four after a show. Seated promptly, but it took a while for our server to come take our drink orders. All of us ordered steaks ( hanger, filet and NY strip). We all ordered medium rare but they came out more medium. Sides were excellent ( get the Parker house rolls and spinach and broccolini). For a steakhouse we expected the steaks to be cooked perfectly, but were pretty disappointed especially considering the prices. Overall, there are better steakhouses in the area, but if you’re just interested in the side dishes , this place will do.
Overall, it was excellent. Service was impeccable. HOWEVER, your ambient music leaves much to be desired. Turning Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On" into some sort of smooth jazz riff is criminal.
Our experience was just ok. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to be sat. We had to stand in the bar area until our table was ready. Had a drink in the bar and asked to close out our tab which took 10 more min after we were finally sat. So I sat at the table alone while my husband closed it out. The steaks were very good and cooked perfectly. Sides were just ok. No complimentary bread, had to pay for "bread service". That's crazy with how expensive the food is. It was also my husband's birthday of which they did say Happy Birthday to him when we checked in which was a nice touch but then forgot to tell the server so I had to remind her in front of him which killed the moment. All in all it was just ok and will try a different restaurant next time we are at MGM.
Everything was great. The only reason I didn’t rate max stars is I didn’t sit at a table until 8:15 for my 7:45 reservation and it took 30 min to get one drink at the bar since there was only one bar tender. Food and service after that was excellent!
Was a wonderful evening. Steaks were outstanding, and shout out to our waiter Chris for recommending the Potato Gratin (might have even been better than the steaks!). Had a wonderful Virginia red -- it would be nice if more VA / MD wines were on the list.
May be too late to do much about this, but it would be nice if there was more bar space. Our reservation was for 6:45 on a Saturday, and we had to wait 15 minutes for the table. Not a big deal, but there was no place to sit in the bar area, so standing around trying to avoid people leaving or wait staff wasn't quite what we expected.
Servers were exceptional. Appetizers were good. Steak was overdone and cold for both myself and spouse. Bar drinks took longer than one would expect, but we’re good. Probably would have had an extra had the time between not been as long.
This was our second time dining at Voltaggio Brothers. I had the flat iron steak which was cooked perfectly! Lots of char, tender and the perfect size. The brocollini was yummy with the aioli and the potatoes au gratin were sublime; also the perfect amount. We had the Parkerhouse rolls as an appetizer; warm, buttery with a touch of salt on top....also sublime. Will be going back definitely.
The food is way above standard steak house. The service and the ambiance are excellent - attentive and friendly. The decor was fun and felt like we were in the VIP section of the casino. The prices aren't shocking but hefty. Dinner for 4 with no drinks before tip - $450. The food is worth is every penny and really I mean the steak. We're not easily impressed by expensive meals claiming to be good (looking at you Catch31 on NYE) - this is food you'll want to make a special trip for. I love that the reservation was on Opentable/online/easy! for such a fantastic meal. Well done.
The restaurant was 30 minutes late seating us for our reservation which put us in a time crunch for our show that evening. Our server was wonderful to help get us out right away but it would have been nice to enjoy the meal, our drinks and possibly dessert at a less rushed pace. The food was delicious!
My first time at the MGM and picked Voltaggio's for the menu and the ambiance....the food was terrific and the service was fantastic! There are many restaurants to choose from at the MGM and Voltaggio's is at the top of the list!
Excellent customer service, highly recommended! Wait staff is very attentive and friendly.
Voltaggio Brothers was a very exciting place with exceptional food. A great place to dine before a concert or special occasion. However, do not try to surprise anyone before a concert a the MGM location in Maryland. The waiting staff will definitely ruin the surprise. They say they have to keep asking if you are attending the show to get you out in time but I made the reservation early enough so that they would have plenty of time to get our food to us before the Cher concert but they ruined the surprise for my mom's birthday. All in all it was a nice place even if it is a little pricey.
Excellent attentive service. All fresh ingredients. Definitely recommend
The service was excellent, the food, not so much. My steak was fatty. Flavors of the side dishes just weren't great.
Cold food and terrible service was the theme here. Other tables around us shared the same thoughts. So disappointing.
The restaurant was 30 mins late in seating us for a reservation, so we felt rushed eating dinner before a concert. Food was very good but our start to the night set the tone and somewhat tainted our experience for the rest of the time.
Honestly I am skeptical of any celebrity restaurants, they rely on the name over the quality and up charge you for the honor. This restaurant is not the case. Everything about it was wonderful and the food was amazing. Yes it sucks they charge you for bread and I was honestly annoyed they charged me 10 dollars for two Cokes but in the end it was worth every penny. DC has plenty of steakhouse options and this one holds it own with all of them.
I did not expect a lackluster customer service in a fine dining restaurant, particularly by the hostess. Our waiter, Richard, was actually attentive. The mixed cocktails were awesome but food were underwhelming. The experience was not worth the $350+ bill for a two person dining. I have been to numerous upscale restaurants and VB Steakhouse MGM is on the bottom of my list. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Service was extremely attentive without being overbearing. Good, we all had steaks done to perfection. Love the various rooms for atmosphere. It will be hard for this place to get old.
We had a lovely Valentine's Day dinner. I thought the food, overall, was delicious and creative. My steak was cooked a little more than I prefer for medium rare, but the service, drinks, and atmosphere were superb.
Cocktail, The Madison, creative and excellent! The Wedge and Caesar Salad, both delicious. Dry-Aged New York Strip was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. My wife’s Halibut, not so great, poached but swimming in an odd sauce. Basic grilled with lemon would have been much preferred. Potatoes Gratin were fab. We’ve dined all over, and have never before PAID for rolls. That was a huge surprise, especially given the price point of the meal. Dessert was “meh,” a deconstructed chocolate concoction. Service, however, was excellent! Waiter Chris was a true pro. His assistant, Alou (I’m sure I’ve spelled this incorrectly — apologies!), was also a star. Hostess Thornett would be an outstanding asset to any premium fine dining team anywhere in the world! She’s a treasure. Hold onto her. Price point is up there, but we’ll return. Hats off to this MGM team and the creative culinary talents of both Voltaggio brothers! Nicely done.
The service was by far the best that I’ve ever experienced hand off , Super helpful
We don't typically eat out on most "restaurant holidays" such as Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and NYE as the crowds can be daunting and the food quality and/or service often suffers. We've enjoyed prior experiences at Voltaggio Brothers so we took a chance this year and dined again on Valentine's Day. We had a lovely experience. The service was great. The meal was relatively well paced (food came from the kitchen quickly and flawlessly yet, we didn't feel rushed). Table spacing was a little tight/crammed but at least it enabled us front row seats to other's meals so we could contemplate what to try on the next visit. If I am ever tempted to dine out on a "restaurant holiday" in the future, chances are we would choose Voltaggio Brothers again.
You would be better served going to a steakhouse like old hickory nearby for a great steak. The chef here needs to be fired as all the food, other than the pork shoulder, was terrible. When you can cook better steak (use some salt perhaps), why spend 120+$?
Food was great! Service was as well. Pricey but worth it
The host & hostess wished me a happy birthday at our arrival and the staff did everything to make the celebration with my boyfriend special. Our servers, Crystal and Matt, were great! The meal was delicious! I started with the Caesar salad and my guy had "The wedge." Both salads were elevated beyond the usual by their special dressings and toppings. The parmesan churros that took the place of croutons on the Caesar were little pillows of delicious. Our Creekstone prime filets were some of the best pieces of beef that I've had and the asparagus that came with it was perfectly grilled. My chocolate dessert was decadent. Throughout the meal, Crystal made us feel like VIPs. We loved Volt when we went there for our first date anniversary and now we're 2 for 2 for memorable meals at the Voltaggios' establishments!
We made the reservation over a month in advance so we were a little disappointment that we had probably the worst and most awkwardly placed table in the entire restaurant. Matt and the server assistants that were working really made up for the crappy table. Matt made our occasion special and memorable and we really felt taken care of.
Had a wonderful evening. Thank you!
We decided to experience this steakhouse restaurant because of two factors. It was restaurant week 2018 and it was suppose to be a really nice place to dine inside the MGM casino. The restaurant week menu was a mockery of a menu with no value at all. The food quality and taste was nothing to jump up and down about. The staff was nice but not very welcoming. As we were eating we were discussing if we would recommend this place to anyone and the answer was no.
I enjoyed my experience here. We anticipated participating in restaurant week but didn’t find the menu that compelling so we ordered off of the regular menu. We’ve been wanting to come here so it wasn’t a big deal.
Service was great. One of our waiters was super cute, I could tell he worked out and he was charming. I didn’t get his name or I just don’t remember it. But he was super nice. They did not rush us at all which I enjoyed. We had time in between each meal to just let our food digest before moving on to the next course.
I ordered the Cosmo for my drink and it was really good!
My aunt had the Pinot Noir, which she enjoyed as well.
My aunt and I shared the Cacio de Pepe (the pasta). We decided not to get the egg. But it was still super yummy. I thought it was kind of cold when it came out though.
We also ordered the house rolls, which were yummy as well. You can’t go wrong w/ warm bread and butter, ever. The only thing I don’t understand is why they charge for their rolls. Usually rolls/bread is complimentary, but I digress. We got them because everyone seems to love them.
We both ordered the crab cake and shared French fries. The crab cake was SO good. Definitely the best I’ve ever had. It was super big and definitely worth the $40. We both thoroughly enjoyed it.
They didn’t have any desserts that either of us wanted to try. So we opted out of that course.
Since this is a Steakhouse, we are definitely considering coming back to try one of their steaks.
The staff was superb in service. We brought our baby and were treated kindly during a pre-Valentine's meal. You must be insistent if you want your steak medium well to well; it won't be burned. The dining experience was worthy for celebrating together.
Went here for Restaurant Week. Portions were rather sparse for that but those ordering off the regular menu I'm happy to report had very decent portions. Aside from that the food was out of this world. The meat was cooked perfectly and the fois gras add on was perfectly prepared. The whole meal actually was perfection including the wine recommendation pairing. Service was fantastic as well. I'd definitely go back for a special occasion although I do think even with the location the price point is a bit too inflated. Overall great experience! 😁
Service and food was great. 😀. I would recommend this restaurant.
Amazing dining from beginning to end! The food-from my salad to the dessert was perfect! Their twist on a Cosmo would make Carrie Bradshaw swoon! The decor is lux and so comfortable and the service was impeccable! The bonus of the night was meeting Chef Bryan! Wonderful dinner-incredible experience!
We waited awhile for a table but that gave us time to have a drink. They acknowledge my fiancé birthday but that was only by the hostess. His ribeye was over cooked an not all of our food arrived together. Our main waiter we only saw twice she took our order, bought desert and the check. Her backup was awesome though. The decor is wonderful. Just expected more...
