From the second we were greeted we were treated like royalty! My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Voltaggio and we could not be happier with our experience. Food was delicious, service was exceptional and our experience was truly special. Thank you all for the wonderful evening!
Service was good. Room we sat in was very lit and too much light actually. The steaks were ok. 22oz. Fatty and thin. Had to buy the bread as an appetizer? Bizarre. Max and cheese had no taste.
Service was terrific. Food was OK. Have had better in the same price point. A little taken aback by the price of drinks. $17 for one small Cosmo feels excessive.
Everything from the food to the service was wonderful! I highly recommend the pork lettuce wrap appetizer, the potato gratin side and the filet mignon (although my husband loved the 45 day aged NY Strip).
The service was STELLAR!!! The food fantastic. The restaurant is GORGE!!!! The attire is relaxed but it is so nice you's be fined dressed up too. WONDERFUL WAY TO CELEBRATE MY BIRTHDAY!!!
WILL DEFINTELY BE BACK!!!!
Filet was Excellent. Branzhino fis was moist. Service was exceptional.
It was a great meal, food was great and the service. The craft cocktails were very nice.
very average steak house. Decent, friendly service but lower quality meats. Tons of fat in cut of lamb that I couldn't eat made it worth about $10.00 per bite. Second time here but that's it! Apparently others agree since it was almost empty
Beautiful ambiance! Service was excellent. Servers were all very knowledgeable and attentive. Food was good too.
Dined for our anniversary. Overall the food/experience was excellent. One disappointment, my steak (filet mignon) arrived cold, It was cooked perfectly & was immediately resolved with another (hot) steak. Every staff member were quite attentive, starting with the bar server, all the way to the busser, excellent!!
The Parkerhouse rolls are to die for!
The flowers on the host stand were amazing! I love proteas. The staff was very welcoming throughout the evening. Strange to see Lagouile carving sets on every table since they never used them (flowers would have added a spot of color). Prices were high but it is a steak house. Liked the Sugar Toad experience but they should have been dripping w/ honey & crisp. Watch the bones! Our son's cheddar biscuits were doughy. The crab cake was more of a crab omelette....no filler but seemingly, lots of eggs. Our 22 oz. dry-aged Ribeyes lacked the flavor we expected. Instead of marbling the fat was on the sides. The foie gras garnish was needed since the trio of steak sauces were nothing special. I liked the spinach w/ aerated white cheddar. The tomato w/ burrata & roasted broccolini were good. The Bananas Foster were too alcoholic. In New Orleans (and Tokyo) they add the booze to the brown sugar butter sauce & offer more poached bananas. Our wait staff really were the highlight of our visit!
Great cocktails! And the food was stellar too! Cacio e Pepe and the Parker house rolls were so simple but delicious.
The restaurant is beautiful, a real sight to see. The prices are comparable to a good steakhouse. The steaks and lamb were delicious. Our waiter was able to make some good recommendations for cut and temperature to match the guest's palate.
Simply amazing. Food was perfect and we felt very pampered by the staff. Well worth the money.
From being seated to service, for a special event , I can won’t begin to express how less special this event was. At no time did the staff acknowledge the special event. The hostess was cold and unwelcoming. I was not consider her a hostess. Our waiter (Mohawk haircut) was more interested in his table of friends than serving us. My wife’s entree was cold although it was to be served hot. When dessert was served , birthday event here, at other Voltaggio establishments , special attention to details like a nod to a birthday would have occurred. Especially after a disastrous main course. One of our servers(beverage), was lovely and he attempted to make our night better. Thanks go to this server as the one bright spot of the dinner. At one point we believe a manager came over to ask what he could do to make things better. By this point, my wife just want to leave.
I feel like the menu and food are great but are shadowed by the pretentious abysmal service I have now come to expect from MGM. They seem to mix a few skilled people amongst too many uncaring unwelcoming people who don’t have the mindset to be employed in the service industry.
If you want a great Voltaggio dinner in Maryland, take the time to drive to Volt in Frederick.
The restaurant is beautiful, however the ambience is all it has to offer. Service was particularly slow and we sat for at least 15-20 minutes with empty plates waiting for our check. I ordered filet mignon and chose to add on lobster tail for an additional $36. The lobster tail was the size of a shrimp. The restaurant should really be ashamed charging that much for so little. The steaks were not bad, but the value for the price were not equitable. Dinner was well over $200 for 2 small cocktails @ $17 a piece, 2 steaks, a side of creamed spinach and cheesy rolls. Very disappointed!
Went out to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The Harbor & MGM are only 25 minutes from our home. We have been to high end steakhouse’s in the past, so we feel like we know what to expect. Restaurant staff was great, service was very good and the ambience was nice also. Really wanted this to be the best steak/meal ever. Potatoes were excellent, asparagus was nice but steak was just good.....
Considering meal, experience & convenience I would rather go further to the Palm or a 5 hour drive to AC, Bobby Flay’s(still the Best steak I’ve had)!
Would rate experience 3 out of 5
The staff was great and really made our special occasion memorable.
We went because we are fans of the Voltaggio Brothers from Top Chef and because the menu sounded really good. We were also kid-free and on a nice date night out.
We were not disappointed! The food was excellent, the service superb. Do not be scared away by the name of the App "Chicken Fried Sugar Toads" as it was one of the most delicious and enjoyable fish dishes we have ever had. My husband had the Bone-In Ribeye which was cooked to perfection. I had the Roast Chicken and my only complaint was there was not enough of the creamy polenta (I could have eaten a bowl of it!). We shared the upside down lemon tart which is served with lavender ice cream and fennel cream and if you think those flavors don't work, you would be wrong I would go back for just dessert! It is not a cheap meal out, but it was worth it. Extra points for getting to see both brothers walking a VIP through on a tour - and extra kudos to Michael for greeting tables as he passed. We were thrilled to see the brothers are present and working and it's not just their name on the marquis. Highly recommend!
Food and Service were excellent!
Fabulous did and fantastic service. Thank you Matt for taking care of us on my wife's special day!
Fabulous food, ambience and service! I would go again.
Came to MGM to try this steak restaurant. Found quality of steak very fatty and gristly for the value. Ordered the dry aged rib eye which should have been the best quality cut. Mortons, Ruths Chris and other steak houses are much better quality and value for the money. Other obscurities on the menu just made it too disjointed a menu. Won't recommend or go back.
Matt was our waiter and he was amazing. The food was great, we will definitely be back very soon.
spectacular....Divine.....The service and the food!
The kind of service you receive in a Vegas 5 star casino
Our servers Matthew, Alex and Ibrhiam anticipated and executed service like back in the old days...
I can not give these three enough accolades
Oh and the host on our way to our seats gave us history about the restaurant and the brothers....
We sat in the "family room" and it was wonderful
We has a 7:45 reservation and was repeatedly told to have a seat at the bar and he'd come for us when our table was ready. After 8:15 I stood at the reservation desk until told the same thing again. I then complained of having a reservation for 30 minutes ago. That's when a very helpful woman asked me and my party to follow her (despite what the guy had said). And low and behold, she found us a table in one minute! Thank you Thornette!!! From then on, the experience was good. The steak was mediocre for a steak house though. Meh...
The service was quite slow. waited more than an hour for main entree. steak was good but did not see anything especially unique on the menu. was hoping for more inspiring meals from the Voltaggio brothers.
Our waiters Matt and Melissa were amazing! Matt recommended the Cauliflower Steak for a side and it was incredible!! One of the best filets that I’ve ever had and the Pisco Punch was so good! Highly recommended!!
We went with friends, a couple, to celebrate two birthdays. The food was excellent and fairly priced. Great selection of wine as well. What made the night extra great was the service. The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly and had perfect timing all night. The guys had the Wagyu, I had a bone in ribeye and my friend had the filet. All were excellent. The pork lettuce wrap was great as an appetizer and the au gratin potatoes were delicious. Ryan, the sommelier and manager went above and beyond. His wine selection for dinner was perfect with all our steak cuts. The dessert wine surprise selection was something new and delicious, as well as reasonably priced. His interaction with us really made the meal memorable. We had all four desserts to share, which was really fun. We’ll definitely keep it as a go to for a night out.
We had a 7:30 pm reservation but were seated at 8:05 pm. We had a concert to attend at 9 pm. So we pointed out our time constraints. We were seated anyway. And then the waitress insisted that there was time to order an entrée. Our assumption was that we should have ordered heavy appetizers since we did not have enough time. So, we ended up being rushed and were only able to eat a portion of our meals before having to race off to the concert.
Went here for dinner with a group of four after a show. Seated promptly, but it took a while for our server to come take our drink orders. All of us ordered steaks ( hanger, filet and NY strip). We all ordered medium rare but they came out more medium. Sides were excellent ( get the Parker house rolls and spinach and broccolini). For a steakhouse we expected the steaks to be cooked perfectly, but were pretty disappointed especially considering the prices. Overall, there are better steakhouses in the area, but if you’re just interested in the side dishes , this place will do.
Overall, it was excellent. Service was impeccable. HOWEVER, your ambient music leaves much to be desired. Turning Marvin Gaye's "What's Goin On" into some sort of smooth jazz riff is criminal.
Our experience was just ok. We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to be sat. We had to stand in the bar area until our table was ready. Had a drink in the bar and asked to close out our tab which took 10 more min after we were finally sat. So I sat at the table alone while my husband closed it out. The steaks were very good and cooked perfectly. Sides were just ok. No complimentary bread, had to pay for "bread service". That's crazy with how expensive the food is. It was also my husband's birthday of which they did say Happy Birthday to him when we checked in which was a nice touch but then forgot to tell the server so I had to remind her in front of him which killed the moment. All in all it was just ok and will try a different restaurant next time we are at MGM.
Everything was great. The only reason I didn’t rate max stars is I didn’t sit at a table until 8:15 for my 7:45 reservation and it took 30 min to get one drink at the bar since there was only one bar tender. Food and service after that was excellent!
Was a wonderful evening. Steaks were outstanding, and shout out to our waiter Chris for recommending the Potato Gratin (might have even been better than the steaks!). Had a wonderful Virginia red -- it would be nice if more VA / MD wines were on the list.
May be too late to do much about this, but it would be nice if there was more bar space. Our reservation was for 6:45 on a Saturday, and we had to wait 15 minutes for the table. Not a big deal, but there was no place to sit in the bar area, so standing around trying to avoid people leaving or wait staff wasn't quite what we expected.
Servers were exceptional. Appetizers were good. Steak was overdone and cold for both myself and spouse. Bar drinks took longer than one would expect, but we’re good. Probably would have had an extra had the time between not been as long.
This was our second time dining at Voltaggio Brothers. I had the flat iron steak which was cooked perfectly! Lots of char, tender and the perfect size. The brocollini was yummy with the aioli and the potatoes au gratin were sublime; also the perfect amount. We had the Parkerhouse rolls as an appetizer; warm, buttery with a touch of salt on top....also sublime. Will be going back definitely.
