Volta is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar located at the heart of Burton Road in West Didsbury. We serve a menu of small plates inspired by international travels. You can eat & drink on our cosy terrace to the front or enjoy the chic decor and vintage bistro style ambience inside.

*PLEASE NOTE - We have now paused our Sunday roast offering for the summer. We will be serving our small plates menu only on Sundays until roasts are back in September 2025.

Our outside covered terrace offers heaters and a covered canopy, hosting the full range of drinks and food.

    A lovely experience for the four of us at Volta. The recommendations on the number of small plates worked really well and the food was delicious.

    Great staff, very nice food (only “downer” is that the black lentils and the halloumi are no longer on the menu🥲), good busy atmosphere. Thankyou!!

    Lovely afternoon at Volta. Took our kids for Father’s Day and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the food was exceptional and really friendly service too

    We had an excellent dinner. The chefs selection was great value and enjoyed every dish. After extensive deliberation the cod in green curry came out top. Lovely, attentive low key service. We're trying to find reasons to come back to Manchester just so we can visit again.

    Always delicious food, a warm welcome, great atmosphere! The set menu experience is perfect for a group of 6 like ours, plenty of choice and loads of it! No one left hungry

    The Volta Experience was delicious, there were cheese based dishes that I wouldn't normally choose but I'm glad I did as they changed my opinion on them
