I always love it here it’s very classy and shout out to the bartenders
I dine here often because of the overall experience. The food is very good, the service is up to par along with a very friendly and accommodating staff. I would highly recommend Volpe to anyone looking for a quality night out. They have some great specials on Friday and Saturday nights. Lobster night is Wednesday, and is worth the trip.
Some dishes prepared with more salt than we prefer. Otherwise a perfect dining experience.
Restaurant was empty other than 2 tables already seated. Instead of spreading us out, we were seated directly in the middle of the other two tables while the rest of the restaurant remained empty. Unorganized service, they would not take our appetizer order until we also had our dinner order ready. we had a waitress ask us if we wanted the dessert menu while we were still waiting on our dinner.
From our seat the restaurant was very loud but that is only because there was 3 tables of conversations happening within 10 feet of eachother so that was annoying. The food was not good. My steak was both well done and rare in different areas of the same piece of meat( I ordered medium rare but instead got the two extremes.)
Wednesday night is lobster night and the lobster we received was barely cooked. It was slimy and fell out of the shell.
We ended up taking the check and leaving without even looking at the dessert menu because of our disappointment with the rest of the experience. I had high hopes for this place so sad to say I am extremely disappointed.
The manager was a amazing , sat us in a great seating section . I couldn’t ask for a better night will be back !
An amazing night to celebrate our anniversary. Great food, and INCREDIBLE service.
We've been going there almost every year for our wedding anniversary and it just seems to get better and better each year. Love walking in the the room with a roaring fireplace; just makes it so cozy and extra special. The service was fantastic. The food is always incredible. This time they added grilled octopus to the menu as an appetizer which was one of the best we ever had. The lobster ravioli was amazing and my husband rack of lamb was perfect. My husband had the tiramisu which is always delicious. The only area I was a bit disappointed was the lava cake (was a bit dry) however still giving the place a full 5 star review b/c its always a lovely night every time we go. We always end the night asking ourselves why we only go there once a year b/c we are never disappointed. Thanks again Volpe @ Fox Hollow. See you again next year.
Celebrated our anniversary here & the service, food, ambiance & decor I thought was romantic.
The food was outstanding.
We were greeted by the Manager Nicole & she gave us the best seat in the house once she heard it was our anniversary. The bartender Jenn, makes drinks on point, the waitress Nikki, what a sweetheart. Thank you to the manager James for having amazing friendly team. We will come back for sure.
Amazing all around! Highly recommend!
Food was delicious, small portion and very strong drinks.
Octopus was overcooked and tough...
Wine ordered was not the same presented... tried to order up at the same price but that was rejected...
Veal Scallopine was tender but sauce was tasteless...
Lamb chops were wonderful....
Food was great, but the noise level made the whole experience unpleasant for what used to be fine dining.
We have dined here many times and seated in dining room - not this night because of a rehearsal dinner. Sat us in room with bar and two parties of 12 celebrating birthdays. We could not hear ourselves talk! Loud, screaming at times-so inconsiderate. It was far from a pleasant $400 dinner, we four were celebrating a birthday as well. Knowing you have parties of this size, do not take small reservations. So disappointed.
Used be better. I was married there 16 years ago and have been back 7 or 8 times since. My wife, daughter and I were there to celebrate our anniversary. Apps were good but entree was just average. I had shrimp scampi that had no flavor, little to no garlic and no sauce. Basically unseasoned broiled shrimp. Host was very nice... he lent me his reading glasses because I left mine in the car. Service was diner level. Pulled a chair from another table but never set a place setting. Had to ask. Waitress never checked drinks and I couldn't catch her attention (I don't yell "excuse me" in a place like this) I had to go to the bar for drinks after the first one (several guests were doing the same) I expect MUCH better food and service for what I paid. The website says this is fine dining... wasn't for us
A very interesting experience - good and not so good. The good was the apricot sour that they could make. The not so good was that there must have been a staffing problem because there was just one waitress for a dining room of about a dozen tables. Service was very slow and one meal that was order was wrong. Our friend decided to take it rather than wait for her ordered meal to be cooked. I had ordered the same dish and one of the sides on her plate was not on mine. I think the problem, besides staffing, is that the restaurant is part of a catering complex. That is the thrust of their business and I think it causes problems with the restaurant service. The food, fortunately, was delicious but because of the service issues we probably will not go back anytime soon.
it was great has the Wednesday lobster special and the lobster bisque it was all great!
Went for an early dinner. It was lobster night. Restaurant was almost empty. The butternut squash soup was very good. We ordered a house salad to share ala carte but didn't receive it. We ordered the stuffed lobster. I didn't care for the mushy ground up seafood stuffing and the lobsters had parts that weren't fully cooked. When asked how everything was I pointed this out but no one came over to address it. The waitress was not a good listener and a little argumentation when we asked her to make sure the salad wasn't on the bill stating we ordered soup instead of salad. I know what I ordered. We wanted both. She would walk away before we were even done talking. The young man pouring water and bringing food was very attentive. Maybe he should be the server.. I feel the $200 was a waste of my hard earned money. Used to come here all the time when Moises was mgr and it was much better.
It was fine
We had an excellent birthday celebration. The service was exceptional! The food was outstanding.
Everyone we encountered from the parking attendants to the bus people, were courteous, and polite and couldn't be more accommodating.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated. Our table was in front of large picture window.
The food was outstanding. We enjoyed everything from appetizers, to dessert and the best coffee I ever had!
The food was scrumptious and the ambiance delightful. Unfortunately, there was a very loud private party in the next room and the staff was covering both areas. All things considered, they did they the best possible job. I would love to return on a quieter night.
Celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate!! Food was delicious and service was amazing!!
While the food was great as it always is at Fox Hollow, the service was much like the type you receive at a wedding. Food was dropped. Little to no follow up, almost no conversation about the food. We had trouble getting the attention of wait staff to get assistance.
Such a disappointment! We were married at Fox Hollow 25yrs ago and went to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance was horrible, the party in the other room was so loud you could not have a conversation, the doors should have been closed. The servers did there best, but there were only two, for the party and the restaurant. Lobster was sold out at 7pm on lobster night! There is no longer a dress code, folks there in shorts and flip flops, I can go to a diner and spend $20 as opposed to the $200 we spent for flip flops and shorts.
Great for anniversary celebrations!
Vegetables were hard and tasteless
Pork chop was dry and had sour taste.
Waitress was rude and indifferent
Food was barely warm.
Small dessert menu.
Never going back
Welcoming setting. The bar is located in the restaurant and a nice place for a pre-dinner cocktail. Creative menu and very good food. Service was good and fast.
Too much salt on the veal porcini, not usually like thay.
We were celebrating our anniversary & it was a great experience. Service was exceptional & the food choices were great, a very memorable experience
The staff are always so nice and helpful. The food is great and so happy the restaurant is open again.
Very quaint atmosphere with good food. Give it a try for date night.
We made reservations for Mother's Day at Volpe Restaurant at the Fox Hollow Catering. Volpe is a separate restaurant with very nice decor. Nothing was said on the website that our meal would not be in the restaurant. When we arrived, we were brought to the terrace room at the Fox Hollow which is basically a party/event room with a number of tables throughout as if you are at a wedding. This was not communicated at all on the website. So basically we had our lunch in a noisy wedding room less music. It definitely was a bait and switch. I chose this place INSTEAD of a catering hall near me because I did not want that but alas this is what I got. The service wasn't great either. I would have preferred to have the buffet at the place near me. At least I wouldn't be waiting for a waiter and I would have gotten a lot more food.
It was “ok”. Food order was messed up, my meal was
Cold and under cooked. Seems a little unorganized. It is what it is but was not impressed for the amount of money I paid for the meal.
did not live up to the advertised ambiance and quality of food or service. food seems to be reheated and microwaved.
The restaurant shares a wall with a wedding. The music from the wedding was unacceptable.
The maitre d was very Pleasant. The food was excellent for the three of us. The service was ok. The noise level was high, there was a table of 8 on the opposite side of the room which was very load.I do enjoy eating here, will come again.
Terrible service. Ambience was depressing. Overall not a good experience. Food was ok.
Food and service was great. Looking forward to going back soon.
