Such a disappointment! We were married at Fox Hollow 25yrs ago and went to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance was horrible, the party in the other room was so loud you could not have a conversation, the doors should have been closed. The servers did there best, but there were only two, for the party and the restaurant. Lobster was sold out at 7pm on lobster night! There is no longer a dress code, folks there in shorts and flip flops, I can go to a diner and spend $20 as opposed to the $200 we spent for flip flops and shorts.
Great for anniversary celebrations!
Vegetables were hard and tasteless
Pork chop was dry and had sour taste.
Waitress was rude and indifferent
Food was barely warm.
Small dessert menu.
Never going back
Welcoming setting. The bar is located in the restaurant and a nice place for a pre-dinner cocktail. Creative menu and very good food. Service was good and fast.
Too much salt on the veal porcini, not usually like thay.
We were celebrating our anniversary & it was a great experience. Service was exceptional & the food choices were great, a very memorable experience
The staff are always so nice and helpful. The food is great and so happy the restaurant is open again.
Very quaint atmosphere with good food. Give it a try for date night.
We made reservations for Mother's Day at Volpe Restaurant at the Fox Hollow Catering. Volpe is a separate restaurant with very nice decor. Nothing was said on the website that our meal would not be in the restaurant. When we arrived, we were brought to the terrace room at the Fox Hollow which is basically a party/event room with a number of tables throughout as if you are at a wedding. This was not communicated at all on the website. So basically we had our lunch in a noisy wedding room less music. It definitely was a bait and switch. I chose this place INSTEAD of a catering hall near me because I did not want that but alas this is what I got. The service wasn't great either. I would have preferred to have the buffet at the place near me. At least I wouldn't be waiting for a waiter and I would have gotten a lot more food.
It was “ok”. Food order was messed up, my meal was
Cold and under cooked. Seems a little unorganized. It is what it is but was not impressed for the amount of money I paid for the meal.
did not live up to the advertised ambiance and quality of food or service. food seems to be reheated and microwaved.
The restaurant shares a wall with a wedding. The music from the wedding was unacceptable.
The maitre d was very Pleasant. The food was excellent for the three of us. The service was ok. The noise level was high, there was a table of 8 on the opposite side of the room which was very load.I do enjoy eating here, will come again.
Terrible service. Ambience was depressing. Overall not a good experience. Food was ok.
Food and service was great. Looking forward to going back soon.
Authentic Italian food served fast and efficient. Waitress was wonderful and attentive. Priced moderately for the quality and value. Ambiance was quiet even though there were more events going on at the same time and near by.
First dinner out in 13 months, thanks Covid
Was very nice. Food yummy, nice place. Ordered the Chilean Sea Bass only critique there was about 2 tbsps of Couscous had to really look for it in the dish. Why? Also, not a fan of the piped in music of The Jackson5. Again, why? Small things for them to change. Staff extremely nice, again food was delicious and the place is very warm & inviting.
We went here for our 20th anniversary because we got married at the Fox Hollow. The service was excellent and they were very friendly. The food was awesome and the place is even more beautiful than I remembered it! We went on a Tuesday so there were only a few people there but they had music on and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended!
Throughly enjoyed our Easter dinner with friends and family. They were ready for us when we arrived for our reservation. We were seated immediately and the wait staff were prompt. Will definitely be back.
Having enjoyed many wonderful holiday meals at Volpe in the past, we decided to try it again after not having been there for several years. The food was OK, but the menu was too limited. Their holiday menus have always been smaller and the prices higher than on ordinary days. There was only one appetizer (there were three different things, but none that I would have ordered if I had had more choices) and one dessert (again, three different things--a very tiny creme brule, a very large chocolate cake. For the price, they could have at least offered coffee with dessert. We'll never go back on a holiday, and I don't know if we'll try it again on a normal day. The bill included a 20 % tip, but it wasn't clear that it had already been added, so we almost paid 40 %, but fortunately we caught it in time. Service was excellent.
Honestly, we always have an amazing time at Volpe! Food and service are always amazing
I would have appreciated if someone would have told me that the restaurant was closed and dinner would be serve in wedding hall.
My fiancé ordered filet mignon - asked for well done - it was actually dry and burned.
I ordered the Sea Bass - it had pieces of ice on the red sauce and the fish was still frozen.
Waiter was very accommodating - took it back and offered me to order something else, which I did had the lamb. by the time the lamb came out my risotto was cold.
The bill with tip was $360 for 2 people - Don't mine paying but for that amount of money I expected good food.
Never had an issue with the restaurant - have been a loyal customer for year. Service and food was always good.
COVID-19 protocols were great.
Attentive waitress; she was doing a great job training someone new.
Our table had wheels on it. Made dining a little difficult. Room was too bright. Not the usual dining room. They put us in one of the main catering halls. Makeshift setup for COVID. I would go again but not until they reopen the main restaurant.
First indoor dining experience for my wife and I in months and it was a wonderful experience!
Unfortunately we were not seated in the restaurant part but the ballroom which was set up for dining. It was kind of cool I guess they didn’t turn on the heat earlier enough itwasn’t really enjoyable. The service was great and the food was delicious. Probably not returning any time soon. It’s an upscale restaurant, we have eaten here many times in the past but were certainly disappointed.
Awesome, waitress great, baked clams could have been bigger
We had an amazing experience. The service was fantastic. The only criticism I have is that my half chicken with mushroom meal was salty.
Always a great time with fantastic staff and superb food!
As we walked in the host gave our window seat that I had reserved to the guest checking in just in front of us. When I confronted him about it he denied it and told me there were no window seats available. He was rude and dismissive. We walked into the room to be seated at a table in the middle of the floor and noticed a table empty at the window. The waiter moved us.
The room was a catering hall room not the restaurant as advertised. Felt like we were in a high school cafeteria. Very bright lighting as well. The filet Of beef was tough and tasted bad. Had two bites and gave up.
Waiters were great.
However, one girl walking around with a water pitcher came by to top off my sparkling water with regular tap water before I could tell her not to do so.
Never again. Shame on Scotto Brothers. Second rate.
Everything was great just very pricey for what u got
We were here for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. We were seated right away, tables are appropriately spaced apart, and all servers wearing masks correctly. Food was very good. It was a set menu. Service very good.
We always enjoy the food at Volpe, but on Valentine’s weekend everything was outstanding! The service was excellent even though they were very busy. They kept us feeling safe in the pandemic while letting us celebrate - not an easy feat these days. Steak and rack of lamb were superb - and the desserts were to die for. Great night out!!
Food was excellent, service and drinks sucked. The drinks we ordered were watered down, so we ended up switching to wine. Waitress kept disappearing for long periods of time. Was impossible to ask for refills. Appetizers came out right away. Main dish came out one hour after the appetizers. We called waitress over to find out what was going on, she simply said the kitchen was backed up. Dessert came out fast again. It atmosphere also was bad. They sat us in the Catherine hall due to covid. It made you feel like you were at a bad party.
This is my goto place for great food, and amazing specials on the weekends. Dining is relaxing and never rushed. Very friendly staff that aim to please. The chef is very creative and takes pride in preparing his food.
Food is always good but Friday it was exceptional hats off to the Chef
service amazing. presentation of food great but wasn't crazy about entre. Price was so not worth it.
The place was understaffed, hence the service poor. They forgot limes with our perrier sparkling water and bread basket, even though they were politely reminded. The food was extremely salty and my salmon overcooked. The waitstaff was nowhere to be found from placement of our main course, to handing us our check. We will not return.
