Great experience. Tasty food! Service was attentive but not overly so!
The salmon was the best I think I've ever had and I eat salmon often. My date also lived the risotto. The tiramisu was also excellent. The service was great and we'll definitely go back.
First time going to Volare and it was for our 14 year anniversary which we noted on our reservation. The waiter was very nice and polite but the service was a bit slow. It was a Friday night at 8pm but still a bit slow. He did mention our anniversary and was very attentive to that which made us feel good. The menu had a nice variety and priced very fair so no issues with that. We were a bit disappointed in the food and was expecting just a bit more wow. The wine menu had a good selection along with dessert menu. The waiter also informed us that the restaurant was buying us a dessert for our anniversary so that was a nice touch to end the night. Overall, we would recommend it to other people to try but we would probably try some place else next time we go out for a nice dinner.
As always, a great meal at our favorite restaurant!
Pleasant and always consistent. Excellent service.
My 2nd visit to the restaurant (first one two years ago). Took a friend who had just moved to the Louisville area. We had a late Sunday evening dinner and closed out the restaurant. We shared the Autunno salad (extra $2 for shared plate), and both had the saltimbocca as our main course. Her's was the pollo and mine was the vitello. Both were very flavorful and served with what I believe was baby broccoli and wonderful tasting beets. We finished our meal with some very nice desserts and a glass of port. I think we probably had a newer wait person, a little unknowledable, but friendly.
We were in Louisville for a weekend getaway and chose Volare for a nice dinner. It had a cool vibe from the moment we entered. It was buzzing, but we had a rezzy and were seated right away. Service was great and the food was delicious. When we tasted the bread and olive oil, we knew we were in for a treat. Farm to table Italian, the ingredients tasted so fresh, pasta cooked perfectly. It was a wonderful experience and delicious dinner. I’d definitely go back and would recommend it to others. The live music was a great touch as well!
The food was fantastic and so was our server Kait. Will definitely go again and ask for her section!
Food and service was great. Music and room noice loud
It was a fantastic evening. Me and my wife went there for a date. It was our first time there. We had a great evening. The staff was great. My wife had a the veal parmesan and i had the noodles with mushrooms, bacon and cream sauce. We will be coming back.
Always amazing food! So creative and tasty. Great staff!
Excellent as always.
We wanted to introduce some out of town friends to the Louisville dining scene and chose Volare. It was a wonderful evening! We were welcomed, given a lovely table, and well taken care of. The wine list and menu were both extensive enough to please many tastes but not overwhelming. My husband said his duck entree was the best he's ever had. Ditto on the sea bass special. We never felt rushed and yet our waiter was there whenever we needed something. All in all, Volare impressed us and was a positive, memorable dining experience.
The food was good, not great. Our waiter was excellent, the other wait staff not so much. It was a good value.
The atmosphere was great, the service was impeccable and the food was AMAZING!! The evening was extra special when Chef Josh came out and said hi, he was genuinely nice and he has such a kind heart. We love that all the pasta is made in house and he uses local farms for his foods. It’s totally worth the drive if you’re out of town to this restaurant, they will not disappoint.
A good selection of wine was moderately priced, however our Caeser salad was just ok. We were impressed with the home made pastas yet my topping of traditional Italian sauce was very bland and tasted like a canned variety costing over $20 , yes very disappointing. My wife's chicken dish was ok at best.
For the cost we were both very disappointed and will not return particularly knowing many other fine restaurants in the area😩
We just love this place! Nice atmosphere, a nice selection of wine and cocktails, and yummy food. Our go-to spot with friends. Live music in the bar really raises the experience - a bit on the pricey side but worth it.
My experience was great! Music was wonderful! Had a great evening and my server was delightful
Wine was pricey. The Calamari was good. Loved the Caesar Salad. My partner had the Shrimp Angel Hair with Lemon Cream Sauce, it was delicious. I had the Paparadelle with Bacon and Demi Glace Cream Sauce. I didn't care for the bacon in this dish. It was not crisp at all and was too smoky for my liking. The Crème Brulee was delicious.
This is one of the best Italian restaurants we have ever been to and is one we always go to when we are in Louisville. Great food and great service.
Per usual, great brunch for Easter. Very consistent, high quality food.
Chef Josh delivers once again with a fabulous Easter brunch, complete with gorgeous and tasty desserts. And kudos to the bar for the champagne cocktail!
Great brunch with varied selection of breakfast/lunch/dinner foods!
Absolutely a great experience. Service was superb
Outstanding food and service. I highly recommend Volare for your next fine dining occasion.
We had a party of five for our daughter's birthday. The service and food were excellent! The approval was unanimous!
Thank You,
Joe
Best Chicken Parmesan ever. Service was tremendous. Jonathan Tarullo always makes this dining experience memorable.
Alas, Volare has gotten way too noisy for us. The bar has always been noisy, and the live music has made it more so- and we were seated on the raised seating area between the bar and a large, noisy table for 8. We simply could not hear, and it took away from the food. I should have asked for a table as far away from the bar as possible, but I’m not sure we could have gotten it, the place was so packed. The food is good, as always, but it will be sometimes before we come back. It’s turned into a sports bar...
Excellent!
The occassion was continuosly exceptional & enjoying! Excellent first-time & over-all experience! Will definitely return.
Always amazing food and service!! Had the special of Halibut and it was the best fish dish I have ever eaten. Chef never disappoints!! Our favorite restaurant in Louisville.
Josh Moore and his team always exceed our expectations. Volare is our go to fine dining restaurant. Always the best.
The chef here is amazing!!!! Dinner was wonderful.
Great food maybe it is one of the top three restaurants in Louisville!!
Seating for our reservation was on time. The service staff was very attentive and picked up on visual ques quickly. The specials for the evening were interesting and delicious. Overall, it was a very good experience.
Fabulous birthday dinner. Great food and even better service. Thank you, Volare!
The sea bass special was over cooked and way too expensive for what it was.
This restaurant if very loud!! The service was better than the good. I expected more from the hype this restaurant gets. I guess I had too high of expectations. I doubt I'll spend $100 here again.
Food and service were excellent. Noise level made conversation difficult. Overall a very nice evening.
The food was great. The chef has a gift... great seafood and atmosphere. Definitely will return! but that’s the way I roll.
