Crispy maple leaf farms half-duck, served with baby spinach and roasted potatoes, topped with an italian agrodolce sauce with golden raisins and toasted almonds
Traditional Caesar dressing with romaine hearts, parmesan reggiano and anchovy
Fried squid and zucchini served with a spicy habanero, lime, cilantro, tomato and roasted red pepper sauce
The food was exquisite as always. The salad special from the chef’s own farm was unbelievable. Mike, our waiter, was very friendly and very attentive. Nothing short of a great experience. My favorite restaurant in Louisville did not disappoint. Bravo Volare.
I definitely would recommend this place for special occasions. The staff was amazing and so was the food.
My wife had the duck and it was great! My beef short rib was very good, but not quite as good as last time. Still enjoyed it though. Service was excellent.
Great service and even better food! Always a great experience.
This was a great restaurant. I would highly recommend it.
The calamari was the best in the East End. The lasagna was delicious but the serving we huge -- took home a portion.
Dinner with son
Best place in town
Overall a really lovely experience at Volare. Our appetizer was several minutes delayed, but our server and the manager apologized about this profusely. It was worth the wait, the eggplant wrap (sorry, I can’t remember the Italian word) were amazing! The sauce was so flavorful and robust.
I got the fruite de mare pasta and it was delicious. My partner got the capalini with shrimp, and while good, it was not as good as mine.
Service was excellent. Prices were fair. Drinks were good but not quite craft cocktails. (I.e. my old fashioned had ice chips)
Ambiance was rated at 4 due to drop ceiling in the middle. I personally think it would have looked better with the tall ceiling.
We will be back.
Celebrating 2 Birthdays, absolutely delicious dinner's and wonderful atmosphere!!
Will definitely return!!
Excellent food and the waiter was on point.
The food was excellent as well as our server Michael. My favorite restaurant! A great anniversary dinner.
Outstanding and varied menu. Everything well prepared and tasty
Definitely worth our visit after being away for Covid. Will certainly be back.
We had reservations for a sunny spring Thursday.
The service was prompt and pleasant.
Michael was our server and he was professional and knowledgeable and answered our questions about the entrees we considered and patiently explained how they were prepared.
The meal was delicious and plentiful.
Our experience moved Volare’ into our top 2 favorites in Louisville!!
Delicious as always.
Volare is our favorite restaurant in Louisville. The food is great, the service is friendly and very helpful, and the ambiance is perfect.
If you are looking for a wonderful, traditional, elegant take on styles of food from Italy, make your reservation now for Volare! in addition, there service team is cordial, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our table enjoyed the carpaccio, and eggplant (awesome sauce!) appetizers, and entrees of Osso Buco, Duck, and a feature dish of Sea Bass. this was all finished with a selection of desserts, each more delicious than the other! Top this off with an extensive cocktail list, and phenomenally deep wine list, made for an evening to remember. Thank You
First time there and I can assure you I will be returning. Everything was excellent!!
My husband and I were in Louisville on a two day “vacation “ and were looking forward to a superior dinner in an enjoyable atmosphere. The food and service were what one might expect from a restaurant with Volares’s reputation but the evening was ruined by the atmosphere of the room we were in. Our table was a two top placed in the center of the room. On each wall were very large, loud parties celebrating some events. The noise was overwhelming and I felt as if I was in a school cafeteria rather than a high end restaurant.
My wife and I went here for our anniversary very nice restaurant, great food enjoyable atmosphere will definitely be back.
Never fails to excel. Service , ambiance, food of the highest quality. Always a favorite of our out of town guests also.
Louisville's Best Italian restaurant. Always a phenomenal meal and impeccable service!
Ate at Volare one month before and it was truly outstanding! That’s the reason we decided to return for my wife’s birthday dinner. Host / Maitre De was not polite, server was an attentive, food was Luke warm (which may go with server being slow). Every restaurant has bad times, but I didn’t expect this.
This is one of the best restaurants anywhere in the country and one of my three local favorites. I can't say enough good things about the food. I've never been disappointed. It's always exceptional. Everything I've tried has been great.
What an outstanding dinner for my husband’s birthday celebration . Volare never disappoints and Chef Josh is incredible!
Delicious food and excellent service.
Excellent choice for dinner. Food, service and ambience were impeccable.
You never have a bad meal at this restaurant but tonight the halibut was exceptionally good!
Gavin and the rest of staff provided great service. Hats off to the chefs for two terrific meals from start to finish🤗
Josh, Jonathan and team continue to perform at high levels... Always a great evening for business or relaxing with friends.
Excellent food and service. Desserts were great! Pasta Some of the best ever! . Veal shank was unbelievable!
Everything was wonderful! The restaurant carefully packaged utensils and followed COVID guidelines. The food was excellent! Our server as friendly and knowledgeable. What a lovely evening. Our compliments to the Chef and all of the Volare staff!
My husband and I were there for Easter brunch. The food and service were excellent!!
Food was ok - desserts were not good. Usually they are fantastic - but the zepolis were burnt donut holes that werre more like a hush puppy. I thought they would be a pillowy soft dough. I hate to say this but Olive Garden has you beat on these.
The restaurant was filled to the maximum (which would be great, except during a pandemic), and yet the food helped me forget my nervousness in being out and about in a large crowd. I had the braised short ribs, and it packed such a punch of flavor I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Simply wonderful. It came with beets, which I typically do not like much. My mind has been changed by these beets. Also, there was a nice helping of polenta to soak up the sauce from the short ribs. It was truly a wonderful dining experience.
Great food and nice evening
Food was excellent - the ravioli special was a hit. Service was attentive without being intrusive.
