Love the new menu! The short ribs were outstanding.
Wish happy hour was a bit longer though. My favorite place to come hang out. 😊
We are visiting family in Scottsdale and were so lucky to find this gem. Everything was outstanding!
Great experience. Service and music was great! Loved the avocado toast and flourless cake.
Really upset that the menu has changed the food is definitely not as good… Drinks were not good as well.. really bummed because we brought out of town guest and we usually love their food and drinks
Great place! Food was delicious, excellent service and the atmosphere is amazing!
Tried the Restaraunt Week Tasting menu, the Tuna Tartare and Street Corn Avocado Toast appetizers were an excellent blend of flavors and textures, and are on my “must try” list when I refer friends there.
The entree courses for our table were the Caramelized Scallops and the Korean Short Rib. The scallops were seared perfectly, with the caramelization and the acid from the topping counterpointing the richness of the starches on the plate. The short rib had excellent flavor and texture, but was very slightly overcooked, but not enough to detract from the meal as a whole.
Dessert was chefs choice, and the flourless chocolate cake and the cannel of fruit sorbet were also a perfect counterpoint with fresh berries. The tasting menu has you share the dessert, but with the richness of the cake and the freshness of the fruit that single plate was the perfect amount for our table.
The ambience inside was nice and upscale industrial modern, with live music by the bar and seating areas maximized without being crowded. We had our meal on the balcony deck overlooking the ramp and runway, with an excellent view if the sunset, the mountains and the novelty and excitement of an operating airfield with aircraft operations. A helicopter landed and took off on the ramp right in front of our seats and the noise and wind from the propwash did not affect us at our seats, and just added to the ambience.
If you you are looking for a chef prepared, moderately priced meal or an outing at a bar with a view and a little “edginess” and excitement, I would highly recommend Volanti!
We had a group of us go for happy hour. The menu was horrible and literally “3” happy hour food items and they were out of one of them. minimal wine selection for happy hour as well. I had never been here but friends had years ago and said the food used to be great and a great value. The inside is amazing and decorated well, but the menu is awful and needs to be expanded and completely re-done.
The manager did greet us and give us some chips and salsa and guacamole but we were also charged for all of it.
A true disappointment with the menu and it had minimal dinner items and many were over priced. until the menu changes dramatically i wouldn’t go back- at least not for happy hour or a good dinner.
Great view of the airport runway! Fun place to hang out for sure
One of the best locations in Scottsdale! Enjoyed our dinner into sunset and everyone loved the views & ambiance. We had great service as well. While the menu is very limited, it is good. There are some fun cocktail options. Love bringing visitors here as it’s so unique!
Last couple of times here have been miserable. The food has changed. The service is non existent. Spent over ten minutes sat at a hot window table, we were placed directly looking at another couple who seem to pick through the food they received for the ten minutes no one acknowledged us, frustrated we walked out I let the whom ever know we were left there for over 10 min and would be going else where. Bravo to this lady who chased us out of the restaurant trying anything to make it right! However my patients and the heat made it a final decision. I understand we are short staffed around town! Don’t seat customer if you don’t have the staff…
Love love this spot - live music was great too!!
They completely changed their menu, and narrowed it down to just a few items. None of our favorites were on the menu anymore, and we didn't even order entrees since there were only 4 to choose from.
First off, I want to say that I’ve been a customer of Volanti for years. It’s been a go-to place to take visitors and those that have never been. We have watched it evolve over time but my experience yesterday was not only embarrassing but basically unacceptable. In a nutshell, it started when the hostess had no idea that we were coming (open table reservation went unnoticed) but luckily they were slow and the table I requested was available (and cleaned). Then the tacky 1/2 sheet of paper menu listed a fraction of the items they used to offer (all of which are currently listed on the website) and the server attempted to explain that it was due to a new chef blah blah. As a vegetarian I had limited options (one salad and two starters - not a single entree) so she offered to have the kitchen put together a combination of two starters so it would serve as a full lunch. It was odd but whatever - until the bill came and our total was $50 (one salad, one iced tea, one combo starter). C’mon Volanti are you intentionally trying to scare people off? Hopefully one of these days they’ll find a process that works for them but in the meantime, unfortunately I have zero desire to return.
This is our 3rd time at this restaurant. First time in the evening and just as good as the first few. Nice selection and great views!
Best Ribeye I’ve had in a long, long time!
Great atmosphere great service. Overpriced for food quality.
The wild mushroom bruschetta was out of this world!!
Volanti is always an amazing spot. It is one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale! Everything is to die for.
Stellar food in a unique setting. We went for brunch on Saturday.
Great brunch menu.
We tried the lobster avocado toast (outstanding!), pancakes (fluffy pillows of goodness), farmers market omelette (delicious) and the sausage omelette.
The service was on point, everyone was very attentive. Great seating options (outdoor patio, high top, booths, etc).
What a fabulous way to brunch. A brunch Repeat is imminent.
We highly recommend this place.
Sunday brunch was delicious! The location is so unique and the mountain views are gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.
So loud! We had trouble talking to each other. Food was mediocre. We were disappointed there was only a brunch menu with mostly egg dishes. We will not be back on a Sunday!
Hidden gem. This place is fun, casual and has a great second story view of the Scottsdale Airport and surrounding mountains. Food is good, drinks are good and staff is great. Prices range from around $20-50 per entree. Give it a try! I will be back again soon.
Excellent service. Best vegan meal I’ve had in awhile: the vegan tamale!
This was our first time at Volanti. Food was right on par with our service…..Outstanding!!!
Can’t say enough about how good the food was. Our server Marissa took great care of us, was vey friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Perfect day. Hannah is the absolute best. I will say, leaving the garage door open at the bar is really uncomfortable for the back of the restaurant. Just sayin we were all so sweaty it was almost unbearable.
Wonderful new location on second level of the new Scottsdale airport terminal. The four of us sat on the outdoor balcony facing east overlooking the runway with the McDowell Mountains in the distance. High powered misters, fans and shade made for a wonderful ambiance. Just don't get upset when the jet noise rises from the apron below the balcony.
We had the Cuban sandwiches, mahi tacos, and garden entre salad.
Great food, location and ambience! One of my new favorite restaurants to go to!!
We had some drinks on the patio and had a great time watching the planes. I have been here multiple times and we have always had great food, and the atmosphere is always very laid back and enjoyable.
Great spot come here a lot. Service is good, can’t be the views of over the runway and the airport.
Great food and views!
We enjoyed our experience here. They took us at our reservation time and the server did a great job of keeping us hydrated (116 degrees out watching the planes in Scottsdale).
Great place, fun time!
We went for Father’s Day brunch. The food wasn’t that great. The staff and service were excellent we were just hoping for better food. We might try again when it’s not a limited menu.
Great experience. The food is great but the environment with the planes takes the cake. Will return!
Day date with my husband. Beautiful spot, food was good, drinks were delicious, & service was great. Will be back.
Great spot! Best airport restaurant in the country, with incredible runway views of Scottsdale. Highly recommend.
So much fun. Sat at the bar with several friends. A little noisy at times due to the jets taking off but that why you go.
A unique location that we loved along with great food and service.
Lived here over twenty years never knew Restuarant was there
Volanti is a hidden gem but they don’t have happy hour any more which is such a bummer. That’s why we went! But still great ambiance and yummy food.
Always a great experience and delicious meal!
