So much fun. Sat at the bar with several friends. A little noisy at times due to the jets taking off but that why you go.
A unique location that we loved along with great food and service.
Lived here over twenty years never knew Restuarant was there
Volanti is a hidden gem but they don’t have happy hour any more which is such a bummer. That’s why we went! But still great ambiance and yummy food.
Always a great experience and delicious meal!
Ehh.....really overpriced and the waitress wasn’t great. We were celebrating a birthday and we were told they do something. Well, the something is a sparkler. She said they have a chocolate cake which turned out to be a hockey puck of chocolate. When I made a comment, they took $2 off the bill. A complete insult
Waitress was totally disinterested. Didn’t get our second round of drinks....super weird. After we paid the bill-she disappeared forever. Left a good tip so we weren’t sure why she never came back to fill waters or say “thanks for coming”. Food and ambiance was A+
They were out of 3 different things we ordered. Our waiter was very rude. Restaurant was slow but took forever to get out appetizer. (Waiter might have forgotten it.). Mushroom Bruschetta was very tasty. Our cocktails were delicious. Views of the mountains were breathtaking.
Great setting and great food. A different experience from other restaurants.
We came for happy hour which was on their website and were told they changed the hours and HH ended at 5 not 6. After showing website ,manager said he was sorry, but didn’t honor the HH prices or make any adjustments. Very dissatisfied. Would not go back
Fun place for brunch with the grandkids who are in love with airplanes! Food was good and we watched lots of private jets come and go.
Our server was very sweet. However we ordered a cocktail and it wasn’t until she brought them over to us when she told us it was missing a key ingredient. We took them anyways and we’re charged full price. Then it took over an hour for us to get our appetizer and we were brought the wrong one. Finally we got our mains over an hour and a half after being there and there were very underwhelming. Bland and over priced. The views are beautiful though. Next time I’ll come for a cocktail and leave.
The service was real friendly and accommodating. Drinks were great too. The only real issue I had was the kitchen was slow. Once it got to the table, the food was fine too.
The service was great, we enjoyed the food and cocktails but watching the planes come and go was the highlight. Well worth a visit if you don't mind the jet noise.
Very unique location. Ambiance is 5 stars. Clear shot of the mountains and gorgeous scottsdale airplanes. Food was just ok. Service was a little slow. But the location can compensate for the short comings.
The restaurant overall is very good and the food is even better. I will say the concept of eating off the plane runway is definitely a cool factor but however the noise from the airway can be a bit loud. Overall a great experience.
Always a great experience. Wonderful food and music. Highly recommend this place.
Great atmosphere with a lot to watch while you enjoy dinner.
Fantastic dining experience. Great cocktails. Excellent service. The best view of the Scottsdale Airpark Runway and McDowell Mountains.
Great atmosphere, food was good, we will be back for more!
Fairly crowded. Ate dinner outside on the terrace. Lots of foot traffic and a creaky floor. Nice evening, drinks were good and food was average.
This is a very enjoyable place with a good variety of menu items to enjoy while watching airplanes.
Great service with great view, but food was a disappointment. Great spot for kids to watch the runway.
We’ve enjoyed Volanti a number of times. Very hip setting overlooking Scottsdale airport. Noisy, but that’s expected.
Food is generally very good but we discovered last night that the prices have gone up significantly and the food value has diminished.
Golden & Ruby Beet Salad - a plate full of arugula with very few ruby beets and no golden beets or goat cheese for $15 was quite disappointing.
Wild Mushroom Shrimp Pasta- $32 - 4 jumbo shrimp only. The creamy mushroom sauce was very tasty, but with just the bowl of pasta and no other accompaniments, felt quite overpriced.
I love raw oysters and noticed as we were leaving that guests next to us has enjoyed two large platters of them. They are not on the menu.
Please check menu on Volanti website if you want current prices, as the menu prices they show on OpenTable are misleading...needs to be updated.
Pleasantly disappointed with most aspects. The food is way overpriced for the quality and taste. All except one friendly gentleman with a mustache, the staff seemed like they hated life being there. Not friendly or attentive, everything took a long time to be completed. They only have one Gluten Free on the menu which is literally a bowl of arugula - for $20. Oh and chips and salsa for $12. My wine was only half poured. Same with hubby’s beer. The views are great but that is literally the only going for this place. I would advise drinks only.
The atmosphere was great but the food was subpar.
As always was wonderful
Great setting overlooking the airport. Nice selection of appetizers and entrees on the menu. Have made previous visits here even for brunch. Suggest having more than two appetizers available in the time period between lunch and dinner.
Food is good but certain items bit pricey. Service was excellent and the location/ambiance is nice
Really enjoyed the food and the service is great. Being a pilot I was in heaven watching all of the Jets and planes takeoff and land.
We have been several times in the past few years and have loved the experience and the food. They have changed their menu and the new menu offers items that are WAY overpriced and not really great tasting. A steak for 65? Plus add some sides. This is not a fancy steakhouse but that seems to be what they are going for. They will need to step up their game on flavor and quality to attract those guests. I mis the old Volanti!
Very disappointed at the cost vs the quality of the food and service. Expected more for mother's day.
Worst experience ever bad food worst service And manager been very disrespectful
The Mother’s Day buffet was so very disappointing. Particularly at what equates to $400 for 4 people and we all found the buffet inedible. Food was empty for most items at 12:50 PM. No warmers for the items. The beef sliders were layered in a cold, large basket so anyone can put their hands in to get one. No thongs. Terrible experience from a place I normally enjoy. I think the planning wasn’t there and in turn it ended up being just aweful and more expensive than a prime steakhouse. Oh well.
Service was very busy but when they came by they were great. The mixed drink I had "The Thunderbird" was kinda like a margarita and was great.
Hummus was great. Crudite was great. Got these out very quickly for our party of 4.
They were out of the burgers which no big deal, so I went with the Chicken and the black mashed potatoes. The chicken tasted good but was cold. I checked with another person at my table to see if his was cold too and he said it was. Portion size was
decent but you're gonna want to add a side or two.
The mashed potatoes were hot though so it's like they cooked the chicken and left it on a cold plate and then waited for the potatoes to get done. So chicken was off temperature. I'd expect this at a $100 dinner at Applebees, not a $300 dinner at Volanti's. The mac and cheese didn't have much flavor at all but called the waiter over and got some salt and pepper and that fixed it.
The grilled Asparagus was really tender and flavorful. Next time, I think I'll just get a bunch of sides and appetizers and skip the main course. The view is fun and lively being at the airport. Overall an expensive but decent time to be had. Capitol Grille would destroy them in head to head food competition but the view beats them hands down.
We went on a Saturday night with a party of 6. Other than being slow the service was incredible (it was super busy). Our reservation was at 8pm and they were out of MANY menu items: burger, lobster (for the lobster mac n cheese), mahi mahi for the fish tacos, hummus for the cruditie platter. Maybe other things but we only learned what they were out of as we were ordering certain things. There was live music which was amazing. I'd definitely go back but not so late as them being out of so many things was kind of a bummer.
We have been going to Volanti’s quite a bit. Last time they were out of mahi mahi tacos. This time, a Saturday night, they ran out of BURGERS, mahi mahi tacos and the shrimp tower. How does a restaurant run out of burgers when there is a selection of at least 2 kinds on the menu. Settle for steak and frites and a salad. The steak wasn’t cooked properly, had to send it back. The frites were over cooked and hard as rocks. Had to search for the corn, beans and cheese in the salad. I’ve had better salads at Wendy’s! Over priced for what we received.
The misters were blowing so hard, your food would be cold before you put a fork in it.
Love the view and watching the planes. Probably won’t be back for a meal, maybe just drinks.
Very frustrated that by 7 pm they ran out of 3 food choices. They need to prep and plan for an evening
