vivo is where Italian comes alive. We relish the enthusiasm and joy with which the traditional Italian meal is prepared and delivered, and seek to recreate that experience for every guest. Our open kitchen showcases our chefs preparing fresh and local ingredients.

When you join us for dinner, expect it to be a relaxing evening lasting a couple hours over several piatti (courses). Your table comes alive when we present a variety of large offerings on platters or bowls within easy reach of all.

A classic Italian pranzo (dinner) usually beings with a variety of antipasti (hot and cold appetizers), followed by one or two primi (usually a hot pasta, risotto, gnocchi or zuppa). Next your table will share a secondi (entrees) served on a platter combined with your choice of contorni (vegetable side dishes). Italians often complete their meal with un dolce, un caffe, or un digestivo (dessert, espresso, liqueur or grappa).
we only use fresh in house made pastas and sauces.

We do a family get together here annually, and it is the perfect ambience, with fabulous service and a family style menu that offers excellent food that satisfies all tastes. We plan to return many times. Try the Sea Bass.

When you live east of Capilano Exy driving here was longer than normal. Expectations were set. Got seated, water was brought. Placed wine order and then waited and waited. Didn't arrive until first course. Overall enjoyed the meal. Service was better than average.

Vivo never disappoints. I bring my clients and family here because I know it will always be memorable. From the local ingredients to service second to none. Thx for a wonderful experience for my family visiting from bc. The special touches from chef Medi are always appreciated!

Excellent meal. The server, Katlyn was wonderful and made very helpful suggestions. Family style servings was definitely the way to go so you could enjoy several dishes without having way too much food. Will definitely return.
