When you join us for dinner, expect it to be a relaxing evening lasting a couple hours over several piatti (courses). Your table comes alive when we present a variety of large offerings on platters or bowls within easy reach of all.

A classic Italian pranzo (dinner) usually beings with a variety of antipasti (hot and cold appetizers), followed by one or two primi (usually a hot pasta, risotto, gnocchi or zuppa). Next your table will share a secondi (entrees) served on a platter combined with your choice of contorni (vegetable side dishes). Italians often complete their meal with un dolce, un caffe, or un digestivo (dessert, espresso, liqueur or grappa).

Food was amazing. Only complaint was it wasn’t hot. Was warm. Service was amazing. Emily was super helpful and very friendly. Was a little noisy, but it was a busy so understandable. It was pricey, $185 for 2 people. Overall was a good experience. Will definitely go again.

Every time we got to VIVO we always enjoy it. Tonight we sat at the counter and the experience again was fantastic. We could cuddle close, watch the preparations, smell the wonderful aromas and again had exceptional service. The food is so good and we were treated by the head chef with the most tasty bite to get our palette going. The waiter was a pleasure to talk to and made sure our experience was awesome. We went for an early birthday/Valentine’s Day date, and once again is was nothing but top notch every step of the way. The food is fantastic. Every employee working there is friendly and courteous. And the chef’s do an amazing job in both the food preparation and presentation. 10/10 once again, highly recommend. For an even more immersive experience I recommend sitting at the counter/bar, which allows you to view the chefs in action as you dine.

So happy to have found a place like this on the west end! We sat at the chef’s table (bar top overlooking the kitchen), and I was worried it wouldn’t be as nice of an experience but we really enjoyed it! Service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. We had arancini for an appetizer (delicious!), linguine (amazing), ribeye (cooked absolutely perfect, soooo good), and the chocolate torte (not my fav, but the sorbet and garnishes were great). Will definitely be back! It is pricy but it beats driving and parking downtown!

The focaccia was some of the most amazing I’ve had but I didn’t enjoy how they served the oil and balsamic in a bowl. I poured it onto a plate and we were able to get some oil and vinegar on the bread much better. I couldn’t taste the grape must and found their balsamic tasted bitter and cheap. The Gnudi pasta and Chilean sea bass beat expectations and were incredible. Perfectly cooked and flavours and textures were outstanding. The sides seemed a little over priced for what they were. The staff was exceptional as well. I didn’t have to ask for a refill once, they went above and beyond, placing flowers I brought beforehand on the table. Overall probably one of the best date settings in Edmonton. Beautiful restaurant. Would probably return

A great place for really good food, served family style. Had New Year's Eve dinner there with my wife and we loved it. Service was very good, notwithstanding the NYE crush. The carpaccio was excellent, as was the lamb, but the real all-star was the tiramisu! Undoubtedly the best tiramisu I have ever had. It's best to go with someone who has similar tastes in food as you though, as it's served family style. We will definitely be back.

Our meal was very good. We ordered a lot. We had 3 pasta dishes and 2 veg dishes on top of our meat and appie. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t enjoy. My favourite item are the arancini balls. So darn good. Our server was good but didn’t seem to check on us much. Not a big problem but there were times I would have ordered a drink but it saved me a few bucks not ordering alcohol so that worked out fine. There was cold air blasting down on us but I didn’t bother to say anything. So I am not complaining about it. Just before we left hot air was clearing so for further reference, I think I would mention it next time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here, 4 adults and 3 kids (7 and younger). I was concerned once we got in about the kids but we had a great first experience at this restaurant. The food was great, our main server was exceptional. She explained the menu very thoroughly to us and offered suggestions. A few of the staff even interacted with the kids which was nice. Overall a really good experience. I would definitely return.
