Vivo Italian Kitchen
The food is very good here, the waitstaff are pleasant. I wish the clams casino were traditional, as the stuffed ones are a little "heavy". Be prepared for a slow paced dinner, so not a place to go if you are in a rush.
Vivo is our go-to Italian restaurant! We love this place. Usually it’s very loud with patrons enjoying themselves but this time it was a welcome surprise that not many booked a reservation so we reaped the benefit of being able to hear each other without having to strain. Thank you again for a great experience.
Vivo is always one of our favorites. We both tried something new - for us. If a dish is good, we just keep ordering that each time because it's a given of goodness. But this time I tried a dish that had chicken, mozzarella, pasta and tomato sauce. It was good but not as good as my usual chicken Francese. I thought the sauce was a little too harsh as if it had too much paste in it. I would have liked it better with a light marinara sauce. And my husband had Eggs in Purgatory. It was pepparadelle pasta with tomato meat sauce and two poached eggs. It was good but the eggs were overpowered by the meat sauce. So our exploration wasn't as successful as hoped. But we will try more new things in the future because most of what they serve is yummy. The servers and hostess are great. It's a warm friendly neighborhood restaurant you just want to go back to again and again.
Shrimp limoncello is fantastic. The best margherita pizza. Chris is the best server. Attentive and professional.
Some of the entrees were outstanding. A few of us asked for light sauce and the entree was still swimming in sauce, especially the pasta portion. The waitperson was very nice, but salads came before some of the beverages (a wine and a Manhattan). I had a white wine, and the pour was very stingy, especially for the price. My daughter had a wine—her pour was better, but it was still $12.00! There were 6 of us (one children’s meals, no appetizers, no desserts, and the bill was $150.00 without tip. My husband and I would definitely give restaurant another try-just wanted to provide feedback.
We visited twice in one week (and brought people with us on second visit) because we were so impressed with our first visit! Everything about our experience was phenomenal!! The atmosphere, service, and menu was excellent. And the food...cooked to perfection, flavors unbelievable, presentation wonderful!!! We can’t wait to go back!!
This is a nice classic Italian-American restaurant. Traditional menu with traditional Italian-American cooking style (good sized portions, lots of sauce). Party of five, so we had a good variety of dishes and they were uniformly well liked. And our server was excellent: attentive, unrushed, accurate. Pricing is slightly higher than at some similar places, but not significantly. I'm not sure how to give 3 and a half stars, but that's what I would have done. It's better than ordinary good, but not as good as very good suggests. But a nice place for families and friends to have an Italian dinner out.
Always enjoy dinner at Vivo. Nice menu and great service. Our male waiter has served us before and he is terrific.
This place is the best kept secret in the valley.
Try this restaurant.
You will NOT be sorry you did.
Service was prompt and attentive. Food was delicious and plentiful. Will definitely return!
Food was delicious, though crab Mac n cheese could have a bit more flavor... Everything else was amazing! It was a bit on the crowded noisy side as far as ambiance goes though the downstairs area may be quieter. We sat upstairs. Overall a very good experience though. Great night out!
It was great as usual
The restaurant was warm and welcoming from the inside and out. The menu had a wide selection as well as several specials of the day. Our waitress took our order quickly. We were given time to enjoy our wine, bread and salad. Then the main course was delivered piping hot and delicious. Jennifer, our waitress was very pleasant and great.
Amazing food, great service always. My family enjoyed and loved the food.
Sat at the bar and the staff were outstanding.. food was genuinely good! In fact very good and service which is my thing was outstanding
Great food, excellent service. Noise level was low (we were there on a Monday night).
Highly recommend The Sinatra!
My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Vivo Italian Kitchen recently. We had called for a reservation so there was no wait to be seated. Our waitress, Kayla, was very pleasant and almost immediately we had our water, wine and bread with dipping oil. We both ordered salads with our meal and they were fresh and crispy. I ordered the shrimp scampi and my husband had the veal Sinatra. Potions are generous without being overwhelming. We also shared a slice of cheesecake with our coffee and were glad we just had one slice which was more than enough for 2 people. We will definitely be returning to Vivo and bringing our friends!
Nice selection of flavorful, healthy food and exceptional service.
I went on Sunday of MDW with my parents to celebrate my father's birthday. It was a great evening! The service was almost as great as the food!!!
Talk about a find. We were in Bethlehem with extended family for a college graduation. Our son suggested looking outside of the immediate area for a place to celebrate. We found Vivo. The people here could not be nicer. We were an hour late because the graduation ran long. No problem, even for our big party. The service was outstanding. Luke was our waiter. The food was outstanding, each dish better than the previous one. No one rushed us. In fact, we had to ask for the check. I'm just sorry we didn't find Vivo before our son graduated. We'll just have to find an excuse to go there again. Thank you all.
Best lasagna in the Valley!
Our waiter was amazing !!! The food was great. A little loud, but clean and friendly staff! Good times!
This is our favorite local Italian restaurant and I always recommend to friends! It's easy to get to from anywhere in the Lehigh Valley - the food and drinks are terrific, the service is great (ask for Madison when you reserve!) and the decor is modern and comfy. Enjoy!!
The food was wonderful! Our waiter, Chris, was delightful and attentive. However, we waited a long time for drinks to come up from the bar downstairs, and dessert service was too long after dinner. I almost was past the point of wanting it, BUT- I ate it and it was fabulous! The noise level was too high for any intimate dinner conversation between friends. There was a large party (12-14) positioned in the middle of the upper dining room that would have been better served downstairs. But I will come back!
Delicious Italian food! Perfect Mother's Day celebration!
First - if you are looking for a quick dinner, this is not your spot. Come here if you are looking to enjoy a delicious meal at a comfortable pace.
We very much enjoyed everything that came out of the kitchen, each dish was better than the last. Zero complaints on any of the food. Our server Chris was great. He did seem to be the only waiter for the full 2nd floor dining area, but he managed it quite well. His assistants cleared plates quickly and kept the flow for each course.
Great food. Service was great, table ready on time. Just too cold. Cold/rainy outside but A.C. on inside to the max.
Every experience at Vivo has been nothing short of excellent. Server was older gentlemen (Chris). We had the filet mignon with asparagus, risotto and mushrooms. Specials are always superb. Restaurant was noisy due to high volume of customers, to be expected at a highly popular location.
we were upstairs and were just served our dinner when a group of eight were seated right next to us. this wasn't the fault of the restaurant, but the group was VERY noisy and it was difficult to hear each other at our table. I was wishing that group had been seated in the back room area which wasn't being used. other than that, the evening was great and our server and food were excellent. thanks
Food and service was excellent. Sat at the bar after dinner and talked with the Bartender Austin - very knowledgeable on wines and spirits.
We enjoyed the atmosphere, and our meals were very good!
Been here a bunch of times. Never a bad meal, We try a different dish every time we come here and the food is just perfect!
We really enjoyed the food and our service! The portions were very generous and the quality was evident in our meals. More of a contemporary Italian dining experience.
Normally, I leave Vivo looking forward to returning. Not so much this trip. My husband's veal parm and pasta came out steaming, but my lasagna was lukewarm—no steam, not hot. I understand that this dish is too time-intensive to make from scratch for each customer, but an individual serving should spend a good amount of time in the oven with fresh cheese on top. We had an appetizer and salads and waited 15 to twenty minutes between salad and entree, so I think this was microwaved at the last minute. The server offered to heat it up, but I didn't relish the thought of it having another round in the microwave—didn't make the effort to come here for a microwaved meal. We arrived before 6, so they were not busy yet. 15 to 20 minutes between salad an entree is acceptable, if the food is served hot. Not giving up on them yet, but I will disappointed.
It was a slow day but the food was excellent, our server was polite & timely with his requests. Definitely would go again
Food is always amazing and really like the atmosphere and decor but service is slacking. My wife and i went on a Friday night and it was busy but a 2 hour dinning experience is a little long.
Did not have to wait too long for our table - server was excellent - there was four of us and she broke up the bill for us into 4 different checks which made it so much easier for us.
Been here many times and the food is always delicious - for my guests this was their first time and they were very impressed and found the food delicious -
I love their Maple tree old fashioned little pricey but definitely worth it.
Overall it was a great place to meet with friends for dinner.
This was the first visit for myself and our friends at the suggestion of my wife who has dined at Vivo on several occasions. Vivo delivered great food at reasonable prices. The lemoncello shrimp appetizer was her recommendation and we all agreed i t was fabulous.
