Vivian’s Table delivers an approachable take on the chophouse dining experience, drawing inspiration from the culinary traditions of the Bristol community to breathe new life into the cuisine of the Appalachian region.

With nearly 30 years of food and beverage experience, executive chef Jason van Marter is the architect behind the menu at Vivian’s Table. Chef Jason uses his southern, coastal, and Hawaiian cuisine expertise to enliven Vivian’s classic recipes with innovative twists that delight the senses and level up the local culinary scene. He is constantly developing expertly crafted seasonal specials made with local ingredients to bring something new – and delicious – to the table. His unique bites pair perfectly with Vivian’s extensive menu of wine and cocktails for a special occasion or a simple night out.

    Everything was excellent. Creative, fresh ingredients in the salads and entrees. Service was great, and our server was very knowledgeable and efficient.

    Went for anniversary @5:30PM. Drinks were great, we had an Old Fashion and the Spritz. Appetizer, We ordered the blue corn bread and waited about 20 minutes before server came to tell us there was a mix up in the kitchen and that they had 3 orders and ours was the last one but they only cooked two so it would be about another 15 minutes but it would be comped. We had ordered the salmon and a prime rib eye. The appetizer and entrees arrived at the same time roughly about an hour into the meal. The salmon and risotto were excellent. The rib eye was ordered medium and was charred and overcooked with most of it being well done and the sweet potato mash was cold. Very disappointing and not what I expected. I could not believe that they plated and served the steak. They replaced the mashed potatoes with risotto and offered to fix another steak but we had another event to attend and did not have another hour to wait. All told we were there about an hour and a half. The service was slow and half of the food was good. Don’t know if we will try them again or not. They definitely were having problems this Saturday night.

    My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here— beautifully presented as well as delicious. Our server offered attention that was just right and was knowledgeable about the wines and meal ingredients. While pricier than other dinner options in Bristol, the value was excellent. And amazingly for a modern space with concrete floor and metal decor elements we could hear each other talk, easily. Terrific acoustics.

    Very delicious meal. The service was wonderful. Our waiter was very professional and able to answer any questions about the menu. We will definitely return.

    We used to be big fans of Vivian’s but the quality of food has declined each time we have gone. Not to mention last night, not only was the food comparatively subpar, but we had reservations through Open Table and asked if we could order from the Vivian’s menu on the rooftop and were told yes, but we would need to cancel our reservation downstairs if we planned to eat on the rooftop. So we went to the rooftop and as we were being seated I canceled our reservation via the app. Come to find out we could not order from the Vivian’s menu so we went immediately back downstairs and were told that because we canceled our reservation if would be a 30 minute wait. Very disappointing!!
