Beautiful room with outstanding service. Drinks and food were brought promptly and were beautifully presented. My trout was nicely prepared but maybe a little bland. Overall, though, this was a very enjoyable meal.
Thank you for the positive feedback and hope to see you again soon.
Wonderful, friendly service and amazing food! We will be back soon 😁
Thanks for visiting and sharing your experience.
Excellent service. Richard was very attentive and very informative. Outstanding meal, delicious.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit and that Richard was so attentive. Hope to see you again soon!
I’ve tried 3X at this place. Each time the servers walk by and ignore you. We were sat at 11:12am, weren’t acknowledged at all and left at 11:29am. The restaurant was not busy, lots of staff, this was the issue the last two times we tried..we will continue with others such as J Frank, Gourmet & Co., Cafe Lola, etc.
The restaurant was very clean and quiet. The food presentation was beautiful and delicious.
Thank you for the great feedback and we hope you visit us again soon!
Enjoy the breakfast, restaurant and service. Will definitely go back for brunch and dinner.
Thank you for your comments and we look forward to your next visit.
Way over priced for the taste and quality of the food, not that it tasted bad just not as good as it should for the price. Steak was not cooked to the way I ordered it. The service was ok, however I didn't receive any refills on my drink and we waited for awhile for our check
Vivian's Table provided a delightful Christmas Eve dinner. We had delicious seafood - rainbow trout and salmon. The presentation was beautiful and the service was perfect.
Mash potatoes were to die for! Mac and cheese was ok. Cornbread a little dry. Pimento cheese outstanding! Brussel Sprouts outstanding!
Thank you for the feedback, as we take all comments to heart and will definitely keep an eye on those items.
Set in the beautiful Bristol Hotel Vivians is an upper class experience. The duck poutine is wonderful. The serving is almost large enough for two meals. The special the night we ate was prime rib. We added a lobster tail as an “enhancement “. I’m glad we split it. The cheese grits were wonderful. We had no room for dessert.
The Duck Poutine is a fan favorite but make sure you leave room for dessert on your next visit and thank you for the compliments!
First time. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. Food and service was great. Our server was very nice and attentive.
The setting at the Bristol Hotel is beautiful. However, our tables steaks were very tough and dry. Not good cuts of meat. The side dishes were okay. Service was slow and not very attentive. Was excited to try but definitely not worth the price
We ate Thanksgiving lunch here this year as we were traveling. The meal was divine….. all except for the desserts which were such a disappointment and I overheard a server telling someone else the only thing they didn’t make in house. Next year, Vivian’s, for a truly spectacular meal, just do some simple pies in house to end the delicious meal on a high note! Special thanks to the entire team who worked on the holiday!
Went here for an engagement celebration. The food was great and Chris provided excellent service. I will definitely go back next time I’m in Bristol.
Food was delicious. Service was impeccable. Servers are wearing masks.
Nothing special for the price. The customer service was below average. Our waitress didn’t know the menu nor was she friendly. The food was not even close to worth the price. Portions were very tiny and the flavors were average. I expected a lot more all around from this restaurant for the price point. Lots of work to be done to be deserving of the price. I don’t mind spending the money if it’s worth it. Our visit was not. Save your money and go elsewhere! Nothing special to see or taste here. I made a reservation weeks in advance but the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night. We got sat next to the kitchen/bathroom when the whole restaurant was open. That should be the last place you seat your customers. Again poor customer service.
Save your money. For the 75.00 i spent to eat here i would gotten food better at a cheaper resteraunt. I got a ribeye which was 38.00 and it doesnt even come with a side. My wife got the lobster shrimp pasta and we both had water.
I had high expectations given all the positive word of mouth reviews I have heard over the last year. However, I was incredibly disappointed by not only the service, but the food. I ordered a medium well done New York strip steak and the steak was cooked rare and served after an hour and a half wait. When i spoke with the waitress, she said she’d talk with the manager and they gave me a 10% discount for the entire meal. I was still incredibly unhappy as I still spent full price $30 on a bloody rare steak. Super bummed - I don’t think I’ll be back
Pretty overpriced. Banana pudding dessert was a big letdown. Flavor on fish and shrimp was good but pretty small portions for the cost. Appetizer bread was almost too hard to eat.
Intimate cozy atmosphere. The green fried tomato caprese is delicious. Great wine selections. Excellent dining experience.
Took quite awhile. I understand, they're understaffed as all places are these days. Waitress was overworked (too many tables), but worked her butt off and did a great job. Several things we wanted weren't available. Food was mediocre.
It was so nice when you had music playing or someone love playing music instead of TV’s up on the wall.
We had a great dinner. We came for my husband birthday and everything was great. Ruth was our waitresses and she was excellent.
Lousy NY strip steak. Decent place otherwise.
Was expecting top notch food for the price ($35) steak, food was bland and didn’t taste fresh, had better food at a longhorn or outback for half the price, veggies were undercooked. Hostess was right next to me staring and listening to my conversation the whole time, not private. If in Bristol go to j franks or Johnson city. I think they need a better chef
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance and we’ll do better in the future. Please feel free to reach out to me Chaz Gallo with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share. We would love to make things right if you give us another chance.
Very good ..my wife said it was best hamburger ever
Thank you Roger we really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us and we agree that it's a pretty good burger!
The appetizers were really good but the food was just okay. Not really worth how much it cost overall
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ll strive to do better.
First time for dinner & got the grilled trout. It was excellent and a large piece of fish. Everyone in our group loved their meals. Highly recommend! I’ve been for brunch before and the Bristol Benedict is wonderful too.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Pamela. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us
Celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time! Our waitress brought us a complimentary glass of champagne which we thought was very, very nice. Thank you! I had the salmon and it was some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the ribeye and said it was delicious. Our wine was excellent and we had the deviled eggs for an appetizer and they were very tasty! Will definitely return !
Thanks for the awesome review! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and we’re happy to hear we hit the mark for you. Come back and see us soon.
signature shrimp and grits was unique and delicious
A wonderful place to have brunch. Food was outstanding and presented very well. I think our waittress was new (newer) as it took some time to get our coffee and food. But food was hot when it arrived so it could be the kitchen was just backed up. Wattress was very friendly and came back several times after we got our food to check on us and get some items we requested. Live music was a real bonus. Great preformer. Overall, a highly recommended place to have a Sunday morning brunch.
Thank you for the great review. We’re so happy you loved your experience and can’t wait to have you back for brunch!
The only negative was the menu was limited. Our dinners were very good, as well as the drinks. Try the flourless chocolate torte for dessert...amazing!!
Food was excellent and the location in the lovely Bristol Hotel gives it a nice feel.. Service was a bit spotty, despite the fact that only 3 tables were occupied. Ambiance would be better if they got rid of the TV screens in the dining area. But we very much enjoyed the local ingredients, creatively used.
We arrived in town hungry & we’re delighted to find Vivian’s within the hotel. Our young server was delightful & friend. The food was yummy. We would definitely recommend eating here.
Food was very salty we had the duck French fries and the stuffed chicken. The only thing that wasn’t over salted was the kale.
We were placed next to a large and loud table of 8 when there were many other empty tables that could’ve been more private and quiet.
Brandon went above and beyond. Nice evening all around.
Overpriced. Our waitress was very complacent with refills, and attentiveness. She filled our waters, did not take our drink orders to ‘give us time to decide’. When she did take our drink orders, she suggested what we should order after we had already ordered. Then, she forgot a coffee (two coffees, one mimosa) and after being reminded she brought an empty coffee cup to our table and stood silently looking at the table. Then she said it had been ‘a long day’ - it was 11 AM. In addition, my husband ordered four eggs and I ordered three in addition to our entree. When it was brought out, they brought three plates. My husband’s eggs on two plates, and only two eggs on my plate. The food was mediocre at best. We had been here previously, and had our wedding here one year ago. The service was a lot different then, it was better - and justified paying thousands of dollars. I’m not sure what to think at this point, and definitely will never return to brunch. Very disappointed.
We had a memorable meal, celebrating a special occasion with a steak dinner. The steaks were perfectly prepared. The sides savory. Poutine was memorable!
Delicious meal, steaks were cooked perfectly. Side items were great too. Nice atmosphere, nice decor. Pleasant surroundings and accommodating wait staff with great personalities. Would highly recommend
