2/3 steak meals were not that great. Med well was leather and med rare was more like a rare, staff member whom seated us was not having a great night and it showed in her attitude. Dined at Viva baby time and definitely won’t be back

Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for our meals, we only had a table of 3. When the food arrived the overpriced steak ($43) was cold with a mushroom gravy, very gritty rump steak, salad with barely any dressing. Ribs were also overpriced with a handful of chips. Toilet was a mess, paper towel bins overflowing, obviously understaffed. For what this restaurant charges for their meals, and the wait times we had, we were sorely disappointed. You can usually rely on an RSL to give you a good meal with value for money but Caloundra RSL was a let down. Only positive I can say is the young girl that served me on the counter was lovely.

Took the family for dinner while we were on holidays, initial thoughts I was very impressed with the service and overall atmosphere, the food Was over priced for what we ordered, prawns were off and made me sick. Great service could not fault it

Overall the RzsL was good. There was a gentlman was talking to others when we walked ind and he was abrupt didnt appreciate him. The staff behind the desk were very helpful aswell as the gut who showed us the card swipe ma fine. Everyone else was lovel. Was a little dissappointed with food because I ordered Gold band snapper. They had no snapper so I got some dry old fish with dry batter. Happy with the service but the menu was not what we wanted. If I was a critic I would not be rating very well

We had a great night catching up with old school colleagues as part of a small 40 year reunion gathering. We were seated in a quieter part of the restaurant, which was very appreciated, as it gave us the chance to have good conversation without excess noise to deal with. The food was exceptional, as was the service. While it was quite busy, with a wait of 45 mins for food, it didn't bother us as we were enjoying catching up while we waited.

Please remove tables from near the toilets or clean them more often. All I could smell was the bathroom. Not one to complain but I will ask to be moved. I request every time to sit on the deck and have only been placed at a deck table on a few occasions. Please read requests when reserving tables.

One of the better meals I’ve experienced at the RSL. Service was excellent, plus all meals were most palatable. Check in staff very friendly and professional too.

We booked for 5 but one person could not make it. There were a number of tables in the upper carpeted area not being used but we were seated in the lower tiled area in the far left corner where there was only room for our table. We felt like we were outcasts in the restaurant. This was also next to the large windows which allowed the cold air to penetrate. Between us and the other diners was an area being used by a fairly large group of quite young children with an adult supervisor as a play area. There was lots of shouting (by the adult), running and yelling by the children. We asked to move to a table we had seen unoccupied near the entrance to the restaurant but was told we couldn't have it. Eventually the staff came back and relocated us to the far right corner of the lower area, which at least was carpeted. Just as we were being served our entrees we were asked if we would like to go to the upstairs area which was warmer and much quieter. Imagine our surprise when we were placed at the table we had originally asked to be seated at. Thank goodness the food was lovely or the night would have been a total disaster.
