One of the better meals I’ve experienced at the RSL. Service was excellent, plus all meals were most palatable. Check in staff very friendly and professional too.

We booked for 5 but one person could not make it. There were a number of tables in the upper carpeted area not being used but we were seated in the lower tiled area in the far left corner where there was only room for our table. We felt like we were outcasts in the restaurant. This was also next to the large windows which allowed the cold air to penetrate. Between us and the other diners was an area being used by a fairly large group of quite young children with an adult supervisor as a play area. There was lots of shouting (by the adult), running and yelling by the children. We asked to move to a table we had seen unoccupied near the entrance to the restaurant but was told we couldn't have it. Eventually the staff came back and relocated us to the far right corner of the lower area, which at least was carpeted. Just as we were being served our entrees we were asked if we would like to go to the upstairs area which was warmer and much quieter. Imagine our surprise when we were placed at the table we had originally asked to be seated at. Thank goodness the food was lovely or the night would have been a total disaster.

Always good food and staff are pleasant and courteous. Mother’s Day I booked a table for two and our son arrived from out West to surprise his mother. Tried to book an extra seat and got told they were at capacity and no more seats. No problem completely understood. Arrived and we were given a table for four so had two spare seats. I had also emailed the day before and had no response.

I love coming to the Caloundra RSL and come here often. However on our recent visit our food was cold and the portion I got was quite small compared to the other 3 meals that were exactly the same.
