Vista prime steaks & seafood Ratings and Reviews
i was hoping for really good food....not to be found. among our party of 6, we sent one steak back; two in our party did not like their steak; and 2 guests who ordered fish entrees were disappointed by the portion size (tiny!). won't return. nasty/ cheap casino and sub par food for the money. i will stay in bellevue or seattle for great food with an excellent ambiance and service. terra vista is nothing special. plus, our server kept pushing certain wines...annoying!` tell us once and then leave! we aren't hear to have a soliloquy regarading your special vinos!
We had a lovely time - with attentive and congenial waiter, good pacing, outstanding presentation on all courses, no rush. That credit given, the best parts of the meal were the amuse bouche and the beautiful presentation of the food on the plates. The meal itself, although certainly palatable, was forgettable. The lamb lacked flavor, the New York steak was less than tender, the fries were overcooked. The courses were served warm, but not hot. We've had better steaks and lamb at many restaurants in town for one-third of the price. We'll be using the buffet at the casino from now on.
Terra Vista is working hard to provide an up-scale experience. I thought that their prices seemed too high. Also, although we were there early, several menu staples were unavailable. Service was pleasant and very well informed and attentive but, perhaps a bit too intrusive.
Service was great, our waiter (Steve) made the evening. The structure of the dining room makes looking at the view somewhat problematic. Seating at a window seat our view was blocked by a wide window frame, Steve said it was designed like a totem pole. The whole dining area was like that. Besides the warm goat cheese salad, the food that we had was unimpressive. Presentation was nice and the dinner menu was limited. They didn't even have available the whole menu. Overall, it was just okay. Don't believe I would go there again.
The facility was beautiful, the host was gracious and the service was excellent. On the other hand we were disappointed with the meal. Here’s the positive first – we liked how the food was presented. The fresh goat cheese salad was the high-point. It was tasty; great mix of tastes.I have second thoughts on returning because the seafood courses were overcooked chewy and bland. The shrimp cocktail was overcooked and lacked taste. The cocktail sauce was overpowering. The Premier Special – “Fresh Maine Lobster” was a major disappointment. It was dry and chewy. The Claws were overly charred/burnt; causing the claw meat to be rubbery and burnt inside the claw. The meal was severely overpriced and of poor quality
My wife and I are world travelers and foodies of the highest order. This was one of the finest meals we have had in years. Four of us all gave it five stars. Moreover, we were completely surprised that we could get this kind of meal at an Indian Casino 30 miles for a major metro area. As Michelin says,"Worth a Detour".
The food was excellant and beautifully presented. Our visit was wonderful and made my son's 40th birthday celebration extra special. The 5 of us at the table were able to hold a conversation without interruption and without having to yell in order to be heard. My very pregnant daughter-in-law and my disabled son were very comfortable in the chairs and there was plenty of room between tables for my disabled son to get in and out of the chair. The menu provided a variety of choices. It was a little pricier than we are used to but was well worth the money for this special occassion.
Terra Vista was without a doubt the most money I have ever spent on a meal for two, let alone 6 to 10 people. Yet I walked out with a great big smile because the food was so delicious. I had never tried wagyu beef before, so this was my opportunity and we had to try it. I would would definitely recommend the Blue fin tuna trio as well. Next time we go we will try something different, everything on the menu is so mouthwatering sounding. Even when my wife is a high end chef herself.
While the food was fairly tasty, we found it to be ridiculously overpriced, especially for the portion size. The service was decent at first, but as the restaurant got busier, the service got worse and worse. At one point we saw 5 people at the hostess stand, just hanging around. Our server was nice, but became more neglectful. We waited over 20 minutes to get our leftovers boxed and returned to us. We were hoping to be impressed, since it was Mother's Day and a special occasion, but were disappointed. I've had better meals at JaK's in Issaquah and the Brooklyn in Seattle, for a much more reasonable price.
There is no better ambiance than at Terra Vista. Add to that the best effort ever to present stunning cuisine and fresh ideas. The attention to detail and attention to each person is commendable and much appreciated by us, the diners. It is a memorable and exceptional experience.
We had a wonderful pre-Mother's Day dinner here the Saturday night before Mother's Day.
The food was well designed and planned out, especially the Bitter Sweet Chocolate Soufflé with Laphroaig whisky sauce! They had my husband in seventh heaven with that one dish!
Overall, it was a very quiet, romantic, meal with wonderful views of the Cascades out the windows. The floor (or rather air) show was magnificent too as eagles soared out the windows!
We will most definitely be returning for another trip to this magnificent restaurant!
It was a wonderful experience, if wasn't for the waiter who was trying too hard to up the bill.Even though I made my selection on the wine and the food, he kept trying to sell me more expensive wine even though the wine I selected was perfect for the food we ordered.
Thank you again for the wonderful evening.
The service was wonderful, very quiet and subtle which emphasized the delightful food they were serving. It was my Mom's 85th birthday and they couldn't have made her feel more like a queen. The only problem was the inability to see the "Vista" after we were seated right next to the window! For some unfathomable reason they have covered the windows with large concrete v's that cover the part of the window you would look through when seated. Ask for a table across the aisle that faces the windows and you'll have a much nicer view.
I'm glad this wasn't my first visit to Terra Vista because if it were, I would not return. We have dined there in the past and have always had excellent food and service. This time our steaks were tough to the point of inedible and service was extremely poor. Hopefully, this was a rare occurence and will not be repeated on our next visit. If it is, I will definitely let you know.
We went there after a show because we had been told how incredible the food was. I have to agree. My friend and I had a wonderful time with amazing food. Our waiter, Christian was great and made spot on suggestion on drinks and food. The whole experience was perfect.
Terra Vista is a wonderful surprise that comes out of nowhere! One would expect this type of haute cuisine and service in NYC, but Snoqualmie Casino is the unlikely venue that serves up this first class restaurant with beautiful mountain views and exceptional service. Check out the incredible wine list, luscious steaks and interesting salads. It will be an evening you won't forget.
Our waiter was a true professional. And all the people working there are so friendly and knowledgeable. The food is outstanding, and the choices are all better than good, that we have tried so far.
For a special occasion, you will never go wrong going to Terra Vista.
The steaks are cooked to perfection! The trio of salmon is great and has a beautiful presentation. The lentil risotto was also wonderful. I love the different salts that you can choose from to make your dish even better. Service was also very good; very knowledgeable sommelier.
My wife and I celebrated our 10th anniversary with a dinner at Terra Vista. We felt very pampered and look forward to returning at another time. Henry, our waiter, was very informative and helped make our dining experience pleasurable. Every member of the Terra Vista staff was efficient and helped answering our questions. What a fantastic night for us!
The food was overrated and the service (steve) was very very pretencious and a snob. Plus when the food arrived the presentation was good but the taste NOT so good! Then to add insult they added (without any notice) a 18% gratuity to the total bill!!! We are typically very generous tippers (over 20%) but this practice is not right and we will not be back!! our total bill was over 160.00 for 2.
