Highly recommend! We had a lovely dinner. Food was delicious and the service was quick and courteous.
Had one of the best meals. Best Caesar said and by far the best chicken marsala ever!!!
Food was subpar at best...Olive Garden would have been better at a 1/3 of the cost
Good service, but food was way overpriced and just ok. We however prepared our expectations and had a good time!
Ordered calamari, which was a bit overseasoned. Chilean Sea Bass was very good. Large Prawns were beautifully presented, but underseasoned. Side dishes were great.
Service was slow on delivery . Also took awhile to get seated.
The food was ok. What threw me off was when we ordered an appetizer of bread, and we asked our waitress about when our bread will come out and she told us “You didn’t order bread.” Instead she should have approached the situation in a different appropriate manner.
It was overpriced average Italian food. I asked for the wine list and it was never brought, the waitress also never returned to take my cash so I had to add it to my room charge. The service was very poor and the restaurant was not busy.
A little expensive, food was good (not exceptional) and service was pretty good. All in all, a place worth trying when staying at the Gaylord. Would not make the drive just for the restaurant however.
I was really disappointed in the menu options and the venue. Food Quality was good but not amazing. I guess I should have expected a more convention style environment with the size of the Gaylord location - just expected better. Server was very nice but don’t think we will be back.
Fiancé and I went there for a relaxing stay-cation and wanted to enjoy dinner. Had a reservation, once we sat down it took 15 minutes to get water, another 10 to get a drink. Our server was super nice and offered a free appetizer due to the wait which we chose the muscles that came highly recommended. There were 4 actual muscles out of the 7 shells that came out, although the actual taste was great. Fiancé for dinner had halibut which was fantastic, I had carbonara which was good but not worth $25. We then decided on desert which was supposed to be peach cobbler... hard as a rock frozen after being told it was warmed with ice cream. Bathroom was out of hand towels and trash was overflowing in the Womens. For the price, extremely disappointed and will not be returning. Our server Ryan was fantastic and kind once we made contact with him but as a whole, not a great experience.
I only had chicken parmigiana, but I had high expectations. The chicken was obviously frozen and not thawed well to eat, so it tasted really bad. The other food was good but overpriced for the portions we received. Service was good, but place is noisy.
Very busy place. Took a while to get started but overall was an enjoyable evening.
I think the ambiance could have been better by dimming the lights and shutting the doors to the closed buffet area that we were sitting in front of. The appetizer brussel sprouts were really good but the fish special for the night didn’t do it for me.
For something a little different it was a very pleasant place to take your Valentine too.
A magnificent convention resort. Our dinner at the Italian restaurant was excellent food and service. We were fortunate to be seated at one of the few “inside patio” tables, separated from the large restaurant. It was quieter and easier for conversation than inside.
We are local Denverites just checking out this new resort. We were glad to do so but probably would not go again just for dinner as this one and adjoining Asian restaurant very large and noisy. we did get a nice surprise with our self parking ticket validated though.
Food was good, but portions were small. The tenderloin grill was not tenderloin as advertised - maybe sirloin with some grissle. Drinks were OK, but overpriced. Service was rushed even though the restaurant wasn't full. Staff was friendly.
The Valentine's Day menu was outstanding! It had to have been the best sea bass I've ever had. Looking at the main menue, I cant wait to return!
“Warm” garlic bread wasn’t. Steak medallions each had gristle throughout. Place was loud with screaming children. Looked like sitting outside the restaurant on their “patio” would have been more pleasant. Very disappointed-expected better from a Gaylord resort.
Glenda was a very attentive server. Though we sat at the farthest corner of the patio, she made sure to check-in on us and saw our needs were met. I would not recommend sitting inside the restaurant though as the noise level was crazy though only half to 2/3 of the restaurant was booked.
The atmosphere sucks, like a cafeteria. The apps were pretty good, but the value for the main course just wasn’t there. Leesa, our waitress was fantastic.
Very attentive staff and food was great
The restaurant was VERY VERY loud. We were seated between two large tables of 12 people and 8 people. My husband asked if we could move to the back of the restaurant where it was quieter. He was told no that the seats were reserved. We were there 90 minutes and only two people were seated in the back. This is by far the loudest restaurant I have ever been in. Food was average at best. It was our 50th wedding anniversary dinner and if we would have know how loud the restaurant was we would have gone elsewhere.
Not enough choices. Expensive for what you get. Good but not memorable. Understaffed!!
The food is good, but the service is incredibly slow, even when the restaurant isn’t busy. Also, they add an 18% service charge for large parties, but the server didn’t disclose it. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can drive somewhere else and get food just as good, for less money and less time.
Good food well served. Interesting setting.Good wine list.Friendly staff.
Food was not great. Only warm
Expected more from a restaurant in the Gaylord. Food was good, but nothing special, portions were small to average at best. Service was slow, especially for drinks. Never offered bread (in an Italian restaurant!!), asked to keep our silver-wear from the salad course to the main course, even thought they were very dirty. Just little things that didn't add up to the prices on the menu. disappointed.
Good but not great. Food was good. Service was excellent. The only bread was for purchase. Cold bread with cold cheese-disappointing. As a convention hotel, I hoped for better.
The service was amazing and so was the prosecco but the meal wasn't great at all.
Very mediocre food; needed to leave early because of fire alarm. First “Italian” restaurant that wants you to pay for bread and oil before ordering, cheap of them.
Glenda was our waitstaff and she was amazing and the manager on duty (missed her name) brought our grandson an amazing bag filed with birthday goodies! We loved it!
We were excited to experience the Gaylord Rockies at holiday time and thought we had picked a nice restaurant for our meal there. We did not know ahead of time that the meal would be a buffet. We should have asked the price and checked out the food before we began filling plates. The food on the buffet was all very tired and very disappointing and the desserts were dry and in appetizing. The worst part was the bill we received for this meal - VERY expensive and definitely not worth it.
It was New Year’s Day and we thought we were going to have an Italian meal; not realizing that it was a buffet instead. The buffet was OK but the food was not very hot. Our waiter was more than happy to bring us some hot stuff so we were very happy. The service was great and hopefully the next time we come back, we can have Italian food!
very poor food selections and very pricey for mediocrity. Very much a disappointment
The food was very mediocre & over priced. Not a good value at all for the dollar.
Was very disappointed by the food and service for NYE 2019. The buffet was very disappointed for a $56 price tag. The pasta was flavorless, the fish was overcooked and dry, the salads were picked over, and we weren't expecting cold crab legs. I was hoping for a pre-fix menu at least, not a buffet for a special occasion. The restaurant was very noisy as well, lots of families and kids, very casual environment. Very disappointed overall.
Buffet dinner for New Years
Very expensive, service was very slow and 18% service charge
We’ll go out next time
A Christmas Dinner
We made dinner reservations for dinner at Vista Montagne at Gaylord Rockies Resort for Christmas Day. The property was great, very festive, and nicely decorated for the holidays.
What we weren't aware until the day of our reservations that the VIsta Montagne was not serving their regular menu, but serving a holiday buffet instead. We decided to dine at the restaurant anyway. Unfortunately, we regret we did. The meal and items of the buffet were very underwhelming and disappointing given what we paid ($59.99 per adult) the buffet Unfortunately we will not be back again for this type of meal.
