Great for drinks, tasty beer..food was okay and really wish the bathrooms were cleaner especially in times like these.
This is a great place to go because so much space outside, so it is easy to social distance and enjoy your time with your family and friends worry free. Trails to walk on, too. Plus, dog friendly. Picnic style snacks, but they could use some more choices of actual food there.
Amazing! Everything was so spaced out and really well set up.
Need more food choices. Nachos, kid friendly foods, like corn dogs, hotdogs, hamburgers and French fries. Nice venue!
Good beer, was very spacious so we were able to spread out and felt very safe
We made a reservation and were hoping to have dinner there. We weren’t told at the host stand anything but welcome and how to get food and drinks etc. then we stood in line for a good ten minutes to find out they were completely sold out of basically all food but nuts. Probably five other couples behind us in line too and no warning given to any of us that we were wasting time waiting. We left bc food was essential at 6:30 Pm. Also the property was completely overgrown with y’all grass and weeds. I really wanted to enjoy the great music and laid back atmosphere so it was a real let down to have to leave bc no food.
We were able to easily make a reservation. Picnic tables outside were socially distant and the beer was excellent. They served pre-packaged food from Antonelli's cheese shop and snacks like hummus and pimento cheese w/ chips. The food was a little lame, but other than that we really enjoyed the experience. Would totally go back.
This place is always great and we buy beer to go as well.
Cheese plates were just ok.
We’ll be back
We met a few friends and we were able to enjoy the beautiful setting, enjoy the beer, and catch up while keeping distance. The outdoor seating is very plentiful and the beer is terrific.
Really disappointed with this experience. The hostess who greeted us was probably 17 and was pretty unprofessional. The beer was not even mediocre, it was actually pretty hard to drink and we got a sampler in addition to several IPA's which honestly tasted similar to Budweiser. The food selection was really disappointing as well - I understand the precautions being taken for COVID by using plastic packaging, but most other breweries and restaurants already have their grills reopened for service. I also think the plastic packaging provides more of a vehicle to transmit COVID versus serving hot food but that's my two cents.
The only good thing about this brewery was the scenery, however I would recommend more lighting for when it gets dark.
Awful pretzel. It’s like a frozen off-brand grocery store pretzel not warmed up all the way through.
It was a perfect evening under the oaks With live music. Just what the soul needed. The beer selection is amazing and so refreshing.
Glasses plzzzzz. I get it, but its hard to stomach spending seven dollar on a beer that comes in a plastic cup. But I get. But its just so wasteful. But I get it. Just saying.
Beautiful location, great beer! What more could one ask for?
It was wonderful, friendly staff, open property outside with beautiful decor and ambience. Great quality beer, will definitely be back! Especially when they have the live band!
Based on the name, I thought we would be seeing a view. Also, the website said live music and there was none. That and the view were my main reason for going. The picnic tables are ok, felt very low key, like being at a state park picnic table. Again I was expecting more ambiance.
So happy this place was open with food. One issue we had was only one register, so by the time you got through the line and picked up order, ate/drank, the line was longer for second order/round. Not sure if they didn’t expect long lines or our timing was bad, but seems like a second cashier would’ve sped things up. Also, the day we were there, they were open from 1-7, I believe. By 3:30, they were out of two items we wanted to order and eat. Good for them, bummer for us hungry folks. Overall, we enjoyed the visit and loved the beer togo, too.
Made reservations for the fam, and had a most excellent time. Tables were spaced enough to where everyone felt comfortable, the beer was delicious and the setting was perfect for the kids. Love Vista.
What a great set-up, especially in the current environment. Plenty of space, a great sandwich and fantastic beer. Hope to go back soon!
The experience was great! We enjoyed the fresh craft beers. We especially loved the Hive Mind which I believe is seasonal.
My bf and I went with my mom on a Saturday just to grab some beer and snacks. It’s super cute, all the tables outside are shaded, and it’s very spacious. We have the pimento cheese and the smoked chicken salad sandwich of which both were pretty tasty. I would recommend for a friends day out or just a little cute afternoon date.
We did not eat at Vista, but the beers and ciders were phenomenal. We will definitely be back soon to enjoy again. Great ambiance and super friendly and helpful staff. Great experience aside from a sulphur smell that would occasionally come from the actual brewery.
We came to Vista on a Sundat early evening to hang out and enjoy the picnic area. We didn't have any food but the selection looked great and I definitely want to go back to try the cheese board. My husband tried The Lewis Red wine and I had their high plains Rosé. The rosé was light and refreshing and my husband likes the red also. My second drink was the Barton Creek Blonde Ale which was perfect on the warm afternoon. Our kiddo had fun playing on their tree swing and everyone was being respectful in keeping socially distances and wearing a mask. Definitely a place to check out and can see us becoming regulars.
Gorgeous place. Really great vibe. We went for dinner and they only had a small cheese plate. There were really no eating options which was disappointing. I also tried to order the cider, (they were out) and a gladd of wine (out of that as well). Im sure its just because of COVID. I would love to go back when things return to normal.
Great service and quality offering. Highly recommend
Keep two registers going at all times on weekends, and post one large menu in line with everything. Cuts down on questions you have to ask when you get to the register
Nice outdoor seating with tables spread all around. Ordering will be much better if things ever return to semi normal. Enjoyable experience even though 100°+ heat.
Perfect environment for social distancing. Great beer.
When there are so few opportunities to go out and still manage the Covid risk, Vista fit the bill. There was live music, wonderful cold beer and we enjoyed one of each of the appetizers. There is plenty of shade outside and a nice hill country view. A great evening!
Vista us always a nice get away with, great beer, good food and relaxing scenery.
Beautiful property! A bit of a wait for drinks and light fare. But worth it!
Going back! 😉
Vista Brewing is a great spot to spend an afternoon with friends, kids or even dogs!! Great beer and ambience. We miss the Bistro food, though. In its place is prepackaged food which is ok. This is a direct result of the Covid pandemic. Just so glad Vista Brewing is open and allows reservations. We've been there many times and will continue to go. My personal favorite beer is the Middle Trinity — Belgian-Style Tripel, Did I mention the beautiful oak trees, providing much sought after shade. God Bless Texas and Vista Brewing.
Great spot to go for a few beers with friends! The atmosphere outside it wonderful.
I loved the relaxed feel of this outdoor venue. They took every precaution And we had a wonderful, relaxed time there. The food and the beer were both excellent.
Great beers and beautiful grounds in Hill Country. Very well run operation.
My favorite brewery in the lovely Hill Country. Great beer and a peaceful setting to enjoy the fresh air in a socially distanced environment. Super friendly staff is another huge plus!
More kids than we would have liked but still enjoyed ourselves. Maybe consider having adult-only times or days? Or have more signs or messaging on website/reservation app asking parents to keep their kids under supervision.
Nice place , great beer ! Good service !
Vista Brewing is a hidden gem. Great beers and wine for me! Live music, beautiful property, and properly social distancing.
