Virsa the heritage
Lovely food and lovely young waiter. The food is absolutely amazing.
There weren't many people in there,"so a bit flat on atmosphere.
The waiters seemed a bit inexperienced, but when the food arrived, we were very pleasantly surprised.
The main menu was very expensive and short on choice so we chose of the take-away menu.
The old Park Inn, arrived early on a quiet night having booked a table for 4 online
Booking process straight forward with instant confirmation email
On arrival we were greeted with very friendly Service, the food was nice and reasonably priced.
Everyone in our group was more than pleased with the food.
We’ll definitely come again
Nice meal for 4 after the White Cliffs beer festival. Nothing to fault. Tasty. We all enjoyed (but we had been on the lash all day).
Visited Virsa as a change to the usual curry takeout/restaurant options. Great choice! We booked for a very early dinner as we have a 3 year old so it was pretty quiet but there was friendly service and excellent food. Will definitely visit again
Gorgeous food and great service! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced!
Excellent food. Not really what I would call a traditional Indian, but having said that, there were a lot of similarities. Very good selection and very well presented. Staff were friendly and food arrived fairly promptly. Although as with all good, freshly prepared food you expect to wait a little. Would highly recommend and will definitely go there again.
The food was good but the service was very slow. Waited an hour after ordering for our main course to be served and it wasn’t very warm as if it had been waiting on the side for a while. A friend we were with is a regular and said she’s never had such poor service before. There were quite a few customers but it wasn’t as if it was really busy. Will give it one more go as their naga was very nice, but if the service and temperature are the same that’s it for me
Recommended on trip advisor. Good food. Onion bhajis best i have ever eaten.
Can’t fault it, the food is excellent and friendly staff
Outstanding customers service food is always a high level of quality in this place made to feel welcome you never have to wait long for anything second visit to this place a little gem in Dover
Very expensive with small pirtions, the service wasn’t that good
Fantastic as always! Accommodated us by allowing us to decorate the table. Happy to bring us a birthday cake with candles at the end of the meal. Quick, friendly service. Great food at a reasonable price.
Overcharged not much but spoilt the experience so I won't return
Despite an initial hiccup with the restaurant not receiving our booking through opentable, we were squeezed in for a table. Food was very good and service was attentive and quick.
Quite an odd place. I can’t remember the last Indian restaurant I went to with hardly any Indian staff. The room was clearly still like me the pub it once was with pretty bad lighting - very bright. The popadoms to start we’re pretty stale. The starters took 20mins. The main courses a further 40 mins. When they arrived the food was not bad at all but far from traditional Indian. There were very few mainstream Indian dishes on the menu so you had to have a decent read. They served Bangal beer which was pretty good. Overall, I am not tempted to return but that is more to do with the poor lighting and terrible service than the food.
Although this was my second visit here I feel that there is still room for improvement when we arrived we were shown to our seats and I asked for the menus a young far eastern lady took our drinks order which was fine then a little later the same lady came and took our food order, we all ordered a starter and mains each. I noticed there were only 2 young ladies serving meals around the restaurant. I have the impression both these ladies were fairly new staff. Both ladies seem to disappear at the same time leaving no one attending the table when one did return she went to lay up another table, when she finished I had to indicate to her that we had finished our starters, so she removed our plates, our mains arrived and I didn’t have a fork as I had used it on my starters again no waitress to be seen so I got up and collected a fork from the cutlery counter. All the meals were fine except one of my party said her chicken was chewy but she ate it,not wanting to make a fuss.
A did a gentleman come and ask if everything was ok but that was towards the end of our meal, by then most of the food had been eaten. I just feel that the whole evening was ok ,but could have been better maybe with more staff on a Friday night 2 young girls who in all our opinions were quite shy and seemed to be new to the job.
We do visit lots of different Indian restaurants and I feel your staff need to be more attentive to the customers as a times we felt like we had been deserted by staff. But what we had we enjoyed but maybe when I return for another meal things might have improved thank you
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful , I wouldn't go anywhere else now for Indian food it was the best .
Outstanding service - friendly, efficient but discreet. Good food. Efficient booking- they phoned straight back after missing my call. We had a lovely meal on New Year's Eve and we will return.
Great night out to start christmas holiday food top class
Excellent food ,with good atmosphere and good friendly service.
