Virgil's BBQ-Atlantis Paradise Island
Staff was very welcoming and pleasant. Food was terrible. The Mac and cheese tasted like canned cheese and cost us nearly $30 (with tax). Would not recommend dining here.
It wasn’t open the night I booked through you. Not amused.
Our waiter was outstanding. Table ready for us right on time. The food was great - just a bit too “saucy” for me and the Mac and cheese smelled like velveeta (not my style at all). Overall, would go back.
The restaurant itself is very beautiful, and the location is great. However the food was fair at best.
They declined seating us. Said no reservation even though we showed the reservation.
Way overpriced for what you get. Ribs tasted like they were boiled first. I didn’t even taste any smoke. Very disappointed in this so called great place for ribs. Not sure if irs because all of the Atlantis restaurants are sub par and not up to their us restaurants standards.
A decent attempt at barbecue for a resort. We could only order family style portions so not everyone could have exactly what they wanted. The price point definitely doesn’t match the fare, real barbecue never costs $200 for 4 people.
Service is great here. The place is casual. We ordered biscuits, corn bread and trash ribs I think they were called and were terrible. It was hard to decipher where the meat was. I wouldn’t recommend those. The chicken was dry. Food was below average. The salad was the best part.
Family style dinner- food good, great time!
Food was super good. Brisket and Chicken BBQ was great. Biscuits were awesome.
Do not waste your money in this restaurant. There is nothing special here. The family meal is not a family meal, all they did was to double the price with same amount of food. The pulled pork in my opinion was a regular meal. The menu requires you to order family menu only. There is no single order. Definitely OVERPRICED. Very disappointing. The only food I was happy about was the corn muffin. It was delicious.
Maybe it’s because I’m from Texas, but this was a very poor excuse for brisket. At $44 a pound, do not order this. Our macaroni and cheese was cold, the chicken was decent but on the dry side. The service was terrible, but that’s true of almost everywhere in the Bahamas.
This is a resort restaurant so it is pricy. I got the BBQ chicken wings and it was very good.
We have not been here for several years but things have changed - the sides and enhancements shrank to something on the “under 6 menu” - had to order extra. 3 corn muffins for $10 the size of a spoon scoop - the meat portions have shrank too.
Disappointing as this was a favorite.
Love the location in NYC but this is Atlantis
Food was really good, Ribs were great w a dry rub and there bbq sauce is awesome
The restaurant did not have our reservation.
I made the reservation through open table 1 hr in advance.
We had to wait for a table
The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. It was the best bbq I have ever had! The biscuits were soo yummy and savory. My family loved the fried chicken and ribs. The chicken was crispy and golden brown. The ribs were meaty with a wonderful dry rub and their bbq sauce is a must! Get the grilled corn on the cob too!
Very friendly service and we got our food quickly. Fun southern decor atmosphere. Overall we highly recommend this place!
Jalapeño Margarita was a good starter for the loaded BBQ chicken nachos and hush puppies. Went here with my wife and three kids. Waiters were a blast, very engaging and filled with good recommendations. The kids meals went over well with kids for the hotdogs they ordered. The BBQ Chicken & Rib combo we ordered to share for two people fell a little short. The 4 ribs we received for me reminded me of the flavors of the boneless ribs you order at a local state side Chinese restaurant and a bit tough to chew. The BBQ chicken portion came with three legs and no white beast meat to enjoy. The potato salad and rice sides fell short too as you were limited on side selection with this combo. I would have preferred some collard greens and baked beans, but could not order this as side unless you wanted to pay an additional 14+ dollars per side extra. Desert was good we ordered the cookies and ice cream that came out with two thinly sliced brownies outside layer with vanilla ice cream jammed in the middle. Was enough to feed 5 for dessert.
Very expensive! We ordered fried catfish (4 pieces = $40), hush puppies ($16) and chicken & pork combo ($54). The $$ on OpenTable should actually be $$$$ or at the very least $$$. The food was not extraordinary nor was it gourmet. Nothing special.
Great location and service. Food was ok.
Nothing compare to the one in Manhattan
Mc and cheese are terrible looks like they put mustard on it
i ask the waitress but didn’t car.
A bit disappointed in the menu at Virgils. The food we ordered was good and the service was as well.
I frequent the Virgil’s in Manhattan often. Was hoping for a similar experience, but the service at Atlantis is awful, the food was dry and completely different than the NY restaurant. Will not be returning.
Had the Fried Chicken and it was very good the Biscuits we're tasty. I'd pass on the Mac and cheese.
Was totally disgusted with the fact that I spent so much money on one of the most terrible dining experiences I have had. After ordered we didn’t see the server until had to flag him down for refills on our drinks and then when he brought the bill. Terrible main course.
Brisket was good, but the pork and chicken are like eating BBQ sauce with a spoon. Very expensive for the quality and quantity. Better bet is Carmine’s. Restaurant is very noisy and service was slow.
food was disgusting and overpriced
Food is very high priced. Not prices similar to the restaurants state side. Server was friendly, but did not suggest to us that we were ordering too much food for 2 people. We ended up wasting food as we ordered too much. The quality of the food was good. The drink service was good. The greater than $200 for a dinner is too high in price. The Peanut Butter pie is amazing.
No experience. Was able to book reservation but it was closed! Try finding another place at 8pm with 3 hangry kids
The food was not good at all!!!! Especially for the price!!! Would never eat here again!!!!
This was our favorite restaurant on the Atlantis resort! Food was great! Service was great! It was a huge restaurant and there were people scattered everywhere. So it felt kinda quiet & empty. I think if the host would have set the people eating closer together, it would have brought the energy level up in the restaurant. The BBQ & sides were all so so so good. We even brought the leftovers back to the room to enjoy later....which we never do.
Tasty authentic BBQ. Great quality and large portions.
Sorry but The food was really, really bad and very very expensive, please do not waste your money.
It's ok, most people that haven't experienced a lot of bbq will enjoy it.
Food is good, service was good once they came over. Waited almost 15 minutes before a waiter even said hello. No water, no drinks. As soon aa a waiter came over we just ordered everything right then. Service improved after that.
Went for the bbq chicken and at 7pm they had already run out. Super disappointed.
Great place for amazing ribs and brisket. The barbecue beans are to die for! Great service!
