Our party thought the food was terrible, from the appetizers to the salads to the main course to the dessert. And it was expensive too. One of the worst meals I've had in the city.

Prix fixe and wine/cocktail pairing was a good deal. The food was solid but a little too much going on with each plate. Will consider coming back to order off the regular menu but will want to try other places first.

Thank you, I was able to return the hamburger because the aioli sauce was spicy so they made me a new hamburger without the sauce. Chicken wings were good, crunchy, and very well-seasoned. Staff was attentive and tried to make ammends with slight discount. Thank you. I appreciate the effort.

We had read about Violet's on a recent trip to SF and wanted to be sure to go on this trip. We were well rewarded! The food was stunningly delicious and the Crossover Old Fashioned Cocktail I had was delectable. The service was perfect and each course was unusual, familiar, and delicious if that makes sense. The BLTA stack with basil was divine and the strawberry shortcake was extremely good--not too sweet and with a surprising and delicious twist on the shortcake. We will go back. Highly recommend.

As a long time foodie, I found dining at Violet's a pleasure. I love finding quiet neighborhood restaurants with great food and local flavor and this place is that gem. We were there on a Sunday evening and the restaurant filled up with people enjoying a drink, lingering over apps and catching up on life. The vibe is charming and decidedly low key. One regular brought his dog who made friends with the remaining patrons. The Pre-Fixe menu is an unbeatable value and between my husband and I we were able to try everything. Each item was delicious, well portioned and captures so much of the fresh and eclectic cuisine San Francisco is known for. The cocktails are first rate too. My husband rarely orders two, but their Old Fashioned was exceptional. I highly recommend dining at Violet's and hope to be back again sometime soon.

Loved this place. It has been on my list to try for some time now so it was fun to finally try it. Every dish was delicious. We ordered the olives, French fries, a couple mock tails, the burger and the chicken. Everything was delicious. I look forward to coming again.

Our party of three was seated at a prize corner table by the window. Our server was friendly and extremely helpful--knew the menu and the wine selections with good suggestions. As seniors, we know to go early on a week night, so the noise level was perfectly acceptable to us. This is becoming a family favorite!

Violet's has great cocktails and ambiance and, often, great food. What makes it memorable, unusual and delightful is the prix fixe menu with cocktail/wine pairing. I will come back again and again for this meal.

The pros: ambiance and service were very good. Food- the menu is very limited. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 cocktails. After tax and tip, it was $94. If the burgers were outstanding this would have been expected for dining out in SF but there was nothing notable about them. Looked and tasted like a diner burger complete with American cheese. Maybe stick to cocktails and a small plate or two.

It was more than 30 minutes between courses of soup, main, and desert. (we were there for an hour and 45 minutes total). Wine orders were forgotten, when they were still on the bill, the staff poured them into paper cups to go home with. Truly the worst meal I’ve had in San Francisco after living here 15 years.

One of my go to spots in the city. It's walking distance which is a perk, but also you can usually get a reservation last minute. The food is getting better by the day, their market salads are always a revelation. As a personal chef, I have stolen one or two of their ideas! Great burgers and fried chicken and their new offerings on the tasting menu were superb. Cocktails always amazing. It's just a winner.

I had the schnitzel. I am unfortunately allergic to jalapenos so I couldn't eat much of the bay shrimp salad that was on top but it was divine. I also had the ritual cocktail, and honestly one of the best tequila cocktails I've ever had.

Tasty food, great non alcoholic options 😋 which is a big plus for me. Pri Fixe option was worth it. If going on a weekend,arrive early because parking can be tricky in the area!! THE STAFF WERE LOVELY 😍 and I love the plant bar aesthetic 💚

Unfortunately, Violet's doesn't have a handle on pacing of courses. My companion and I didn't have time to enjoy our complimentary cocktails when the first course and the accompanying beverage were brought out. Not long after, the second course was brought out. And then right after, the third course. To give you an idea of how rushed the dinner was, my reservations were for 6pm and by 6:20pm, all 3 courses and accompanying wines/cocktails were out. This is by far the worst dinner experience ever.

My friend and I decided to check out this place during SF restaurant week. We loved the entrees -- both the pasta and the chicken schnitzel. For a three-course menu with an included cocktail, the price was very reasonable and the quality of the food is amazing. Our waiter was very attentive as well. We definitely will consider visiting again.

We went to enjoy their delicious happy hour fare. We were surprised that the happy hour menu had changed so much The hamburger was no longer on the menu . As were many others . Prices too have gone up. And portions are smaller.,

The food and the service are both great. It manages to have a cool vibe while also keeping a friendly, neighborhood feel. When we want to go out or when we have friends visiting from out of town we usually end up at Violets. You can’t go wrong!
