The selections of wine, entries desserts and appetizers is only one of the reasons to visit here. For a special occasion it is ideal. You can have a nice quiet setting, or celebrate with many. We have never seen a staff member without a friendly smile and ensuring an outstanding experience.
Savannah took excellent care of our group. Our table was ready for us when we arrived (a little before our reservation). She did a great job of sharing the off menu specials and got each course out in good timing.
Excellent food and service. Walls of glass with stained glass panes from Paris overlooking the vineyards. Food is top notch in presentation and flavor.
Wonderful meal at a special place. The food was terrific and reasonably priced. The only issue was that it seemed slightly understaffed. Getting our food was quick and well-paced, but it took way too long to get us the bill. The staff seemed to disappear.
Very fresh vegetables in well prepared salad. Soup de jure delicious. Main course cooked to perfection. Friendly and efficient service.
July 4th. Noon lunch and we were the only ones there.
Ordered daily soup (clam chowder) and chicken bacon wrap sandwich. My wife ordered the Vermonster. She had the white wine flight and I had the red. All were appealing and delightful bites and sips
Service on point: prompt and knowledgeable
Would we return? Yes. Four stars all around
The quality of the food seemed like it was of a commercial food service. Will not be returning! Service was nice but couldn’t overcome the poor food quality.
My family enjoyed themselves and won't stop talking about everything to their friends.
Went on a Saturday afternoon early. Service was excellent. Food was well presented but not very flavorful. We both had chicken dishes. Kinda disappointing.
As usual, the food was amazing! The wine... even better!
I recommend this place Everyone out there, take ride out there and enjoy Yourself with families and friends. Great place be for Birthdays, weddings etc.
Food, outstanding service and lovely view made for a wonderful evening! Take advantage of Vintage House during your stay. We plan to consider the inn for our next visit! Delicious!
Wonderful meal and service. The only issue we had was the family next to us let their child watch videos on their phone on full blast. Very rude and distracting.
We have been a few times since my wife and I got married onsite a few years ago. The menu hasn’t changed in years with the exception of renaming a duck dish. My wife dinner was undercooked and the pasta had no Gorgonzola as stated in the menu. It seems to be going thru the motions and charging high end level prices
The table side desserts are still very good and the atmosphere is very nice especially during some of the better weather
Excellent as always. I did ask that the shrimp for the salad be grilled more and have the tails removed. It was and the flavor was excellent. Will request this again!
Great, as always!!
Birthday lunch for my son.
Food was well prepared but menu could use more imagination and creativity. Not up to what I have experienced at most other winery restaurants . Good service. Friendly staff
Always a pleasure. Treated like family every visit. Thanks again!
Tried something new. Ruben was great! And I am always flattered by attention by servers.
The meatballs were under cooked. The atmosphere was awesome and we had a great time on our cellar tour and after. Skylar did a great job.
I realize that this was a very busy weekend for the restaurant; however, we made reservations far in advance to celebrate my son's graduation. If they were not able to accommodate the number of people in the restaurant, they shouldn't have accepted that number of reservations. Vintage House completely ruined our experience. Although we were seated in a timely manner, we waited 1.5 hours for our food. Most of the food was mediocre at best. For example, the shrimp pasta contained exactly 3 medium size shrimp and the pasta lacked any flavor except a high dose of salt. My food was not even mediocre....it was not edible. The dish described was not the dish that was served. (They DID offer to bring me an appetizer in place of my meal. Really??? An appetizer as a meal replacement???) They did not refill a single drink in the 2 hours that we were there; except when we hunted down any staff member for a refill. (We eventually requested a carafe of water so that we could refill our own.) No refills on tea. No check to see if anyone would like to order a glass of wine (it is a winery after all!) Our waiter was not anywhere to be found. I expect far better service from a restaurant of this caliber.
Wonderful food and service. Highly recommended.
We went there to celebrate our son’s graduation from TAMU. The appetizers (calamari and cheese plate) were very good and the wine flights (white and private selection) were also good. The Blanc duBois and the Paulo Cabernet Sauvignon were very good. The main courses and service both left something to be desired.
My husband and I both ordered the petit filet mignon to be cooked to medium. Were medium to medium rare folks, but are not comfortable with super rare(reminded me of ahi tuna) which is how it first arrived. Our waitress returned our plates and we were served filets more in line to what we were expecting. To a point. My husband’s filet still had sections that were extremely rare. To me this Indicated an uneven cook, and he did not finish it as it was not to his liking. For a $32 entree, I would expect that it would be cooked to liking.
One of our guests ordered the shrimp scampi which left a pool of olive oil in his bowl and required that he remove the tails from his shrimp. Another guest ordered pasta with merlot marinara, but was offered neither fresh grated parmesan or pepper. We had neither salt or pepper on our table. Our last guest ordered the ribeye ($36) which was cooked adequately, but arrived with cold sides.
Our server seemed somewhat disinterested. My husband posed a question to her about meal choices and it was clear that she had not been paying attention as she had to ask him to repeat the question. One guest in our party was drinking only water and we had to request to have his glass filled.
The brights spots were the wine and the appetizers, but given that we had gone for a special occasion and had read such good reviews, to come away feeling disappointed was unwelcome. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t atrocious, but if we wanted mediocre we could have gone to Chili’s for a lot less money.
Great staff. Table was ready. Attentive service
A party of four, we enjoyed orders of petite filets and salmon. Two of us started with the Caesar salad; the dinner salads were generous and could easily have been shared. The flambéed cherries in port fudge sauce over vanilla ice cream was excellent. Our server did a beautiful job of preparing this dessert for two of us. Truly delicious and fun! Our table by the window allowed for a view of the vineyards and was good for conversation.
Love the service and the atmosphere. The pricing of the food is reasonable but wish it tasted a little better (tastes a little bland). The wine is to die for... very good!!! All in all it is a place that you have to check out.
This is a hidden gem in the CS-Bryan Community. Good ambiance, service & food. A nice treat for special occasions. Must try brunch on Sat & Sun.
Does not disappoint. It was a celebration and we started off with a bottle of almond sparkling and it started the meal off right (everyone loved it). Food and service was great. Had the calamari and it was cooked to perfection.
Looking forward to our next visit.
Outstanding venue for a family celebration. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly. Had a great table with a view of the vineyards. Our waitress was friendly and attentive when she was there, but did sometimes disappear for long stretches.
We had a wonderful time today at VHR celebrating our daughter’s Ring Day. Devon, our waitress was an absolute charm. She made the experience that much better. Thank you.
Our server, Megan, was very knowledgeable about the wines and the food. We were glad to see they expanded their brunch menu to include lunch items. Excellent move.
Savannah took expert care of us! She immediately shared all of the off menu specials with us and knew the details of each. Our entire group of 8 ordered the Lasagna from those specials. The lasagna was incredible, especially the sauce and the touch of fresh basil on top. It was a great evening with friends and we appreciate Savannah and the rest of the staff taking such good care of us!
Devon was such an amazing server! My food was excellent and I absolutely loved the ambiance of the restaurant.
Kelly was a wonderful waitress! She made our brunch get together so great, we didn’t want for anything! The soup and sandwich we had hit the spot.
We came here for my wife’s birthday with two of our friends. Our Server was terrible. Absolutely terrible. She kept saying there wasn’t any bread, but never brought any, despite oil and herb sitting being on the table. We finally asked another server, who was confused why we didn’t have any, and she brought some right away. We only saw our server maybe 3 times our entire dinner. The calamari was good. My Wife’s salad came out wrong and mine didn’t come out at all. My Wife also ordered the filet, medium. It came out medium rare. She was able to eat about half of it until she saw all the blood. Overall, didn’t feel like the occasion was celebrated how it should’ve been. Having been a server for 6 years in both casual and fine dining, I know how to take care of a guest and make them want to return. Maybe my expectations were too high.
We go here every year for our Anniversary, since we got married at Messina Hof winery. This experience was just as wonderful. Kelly was our server. She was so nice, helpful and very informative about the products. She made our visit very memorable and special. The food never disappoints and the steak was phenomenal! We will be back again.
It was a group of 10 of us celebrating my sister’s birthday. We had a wonderful time. The tour was awesome. The wine tasting afterwards was even better. A couple of the wines we wanted to taste was out of stock which was a bummer. Nonetheless, we had a good time with staff as well as the other patrons. We ate dinner at the Vintage House Restaurant and the food was really good. The ribeye, salmon and pork chop was delish. The cherries jubilee was the perfect ending to a perfect day! We are now trying to plan a ladies trip back. We bought several boxes of wine as well as wine stoppers. Kelly and Brooks was very helpful and quite pleasant. Thanks for making our trip a very memorable one.
Madison took great care of us and everything turned out great. She is so enthusiastic about her flambees!
