   Tried this place for the first time and was very impressed ! Food was delicious pastas and sauces tasted fresh. Service was friendly with an upscale ambiance. Took a bit of time for the food to come but it was well worth the wait.

   Such a pleasant Mother’s Day dinner! The food, ambiance and staff were outstanding. My 89-year-old mom was thrilled with everything. And the personal service by the owner was icing on a top-notch experience!

   We had a reservation for outdoor dining, but because of the strong wind, it was close to impossible to eat outside. At the same time, there were a few empty tables inside that the hostess was not willing to reseat us at. We decide to still dine outdoor - in jackets! - we were the only table that they were serving outside. When we completed our meal I went inside for the restroom and the number of empty tables was even higher ; I counted 6 empty tables. Our waiter provided excellent service to us and did make a comment about not understanding why management (I think he meant the hostess with a smirk on her face) did not want to reseat us inside since we had reservations. The food was delicious - everything: veal, pasta, tomato sauce, minestrone soup, except for the risotto which was overcooked!!! ( that is disappointing for an Italian restaurant. )

As you said in your review, you booked outdoors.(Outdoor dining is now blocked online and must be made by calling the restaurant.)You saw empty tables but I assure you those tables were all booked with reservations.We would never deny a customer a table that was available, that would be terrible business practice.Please dine with us again with the warmer weather.

   Mother’s Day meal for my wife, daughter and her boyfriend. Food, wine, service and ambiance all excellent. These people know how to prepare and serve fine Italian cuisine. Would recommend you get regular seating rather than high-top if you are shorties like us. But regardless this place will soon start making the best of Boston lists.

   Great northern Italian! This is not your average neighborhood red sauce Italian joint. Every dish I’ve tried has been outstanding - nuanced and creative! They get the basics right, then add something special. You must try the octopus! It’s amazing. This place is a gem. So much so that I hesitated to write this review and risk everyone finding out about it, making it hard to get a table … but they deserve recognition and accolades for the fine work they are doing! Top notch!

   It was our wedding anniversary. I had a garlic shrimp appetizer and lobster ravioli entree. My husband had goat cheese bruschetta appetizer and the carbonara entree. It was absolutely delicious! Presentation was gorgeous. Portions are modest, which is to be expected in fine dining. Definitely order two courses if you’re hungry. We shared the lemon mascarpone cake for dessert. Also delicious! We will be back!

    All of the food here is incredible and the atmosphere is beautiful. Truly not one thing we tried from the menu disappointed. Don't miss Dante, the Italian owner of the restaurant - he is an absolute delight! We had a larger group of 10 and between his attentiveness and the rest of the wait staff we had an amazing service experience.

    Every time we come to Vinotta it's amazing! We brought family for a special night out and again, Vinotta did not disappoint. From the fantastic service, to the incredible wine selections, to the highlight of the night, the food; Vinotta has become one of our favorite restaurants in Waltham.     Been twice. Each time we were impressed by the quality and sophistication of the food and presentation. Maybe it was the alignment of the stars but that might have been the best beef carpaccio I've had anywhere.

    The overall experience was outstanding, Angelo was a perfect waiter, and my spouse loved when he talked Italian to her. The seating, while extremely comfortable was a bit cramped. While the food was absolutely delicious, it was definitely overpriced, when paying $12 for meatballs, I expect to get more than 2, but again, the quality was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, but please be prepared to spend.

    Everything was delicious but the tuna “Crudo” was really tartare and I ordered veal piccata and was served veal Marsala, which I didn’t even see on the menu. My husbands beef carpaccio was outstanding and the black bass special was delicious (though a bit stingy on the accompanying potatoes). We enjoyed the evening and will be back.

    Lovely menu all around. Nice cocktail menu with a variety of martinis. Everything was well prepared and presented in a simple yet attractive way. Service is languid so come with a flexible schedule so you can kick back and enjoy dessert too.

    I loved the space, I loved our waiter Fabrizio, I loved the atmosphere. I really really liked the lobster scallop special but it was described as spicy and I didn't detect any heat - but it was still very good. the eggplant app was DELICIOUS..service was definitely 5 Star!

    This restaurant is top-notch! Everything from the bread to the dessert was delicious. It is obvious that they use fresh ingredients and they don’t overwhelm dishes with butter and salt. Presentation of food was as elegant as it was tasty. Decor was classy and chairs were very comfy. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Waltham.
