We are located in Soquel Village about a 2 min drive from Capitola beach and 10 min from SC Beach Boardwalk. Our large redwood bar and handmade tables offer a cozy, but modern dining experience. For groups larger than 4 please give us a call and we would be happy to accommodate you. Our goal is to be your go-to location for a slightly upscale wine bar in Santa Cruz County and also THE place to go explore Santa Cruz Mountains Wines.

My boyfriend and I had such a sweet date night here! Our first time and we will definitely be returning during the week for a happy hour! 😌 The staff was super sweet, our meal was out quickly, everything was so delicious from the flat bread to our drinks to our main meal. We loved the outdoor seating, it was a relaxing and warm setting and although there were a couple other guests it was not noisy at all. 10/10 We will be back! 🤍
Friendly, fresh and tasty food. Enjoyed the Italian soda since I wasn’t having alcohol. Next time I’ll study the wine list
Just so so
Waiter was superb.
Attentive and pleasant.
Good selection of drinks and food.
Will be happy to return
Fabulous service and absolutely amazing food! I love the friendly atmosphere and the outdoor patio. Their food is delicious and healthy. I would recommend this to anyone! Keep doing a great job!
We had a really wonderful dinner at Vinocruz -- delightful wines and yummy plates. But the service was especially amazing -- very friendly and helpful as we tried to plot a course through several wines. Looking forward to going back!
Best burger in town. Truffle Brie burger to die for. Huge wine list by the glass and bottle. Scallops tender, flatbreads ample and creative. Really good
Food was fine, but paper plates? Really? Hard to appreciate the food on paper - brought the whole experience down. 😑
The food is decent and the wine selection is nicely curated, but the portion sizes are tiny. Go get the Kale Caesar Salad from Suda down the street ($15), and then the same from Vinocruz ($11). $4 different, and the salad from Vinocruz has, at most, 1/4 the amount of lettuce. Flatbreads ($14) were 1/2 the size of East End/West End Gastropub ($15), cheese board ($17!!!!!!) was an adequate size for a single person. Certainly not sharable by any more than 2 people. Overall, either decreasing prices, or simply giving a bit more food would make this place somewhere I'd recommend but as it stands, it was almost comical how tiny everything is.
High quality food and a diverse menu with a most excellent wine selection served in a casual environment that is clearly trying to make the best of a difficult situation with COVID. We will look forward to a return visit!
Beautiful little spot for local wine and good tapas plates. Casual, good service. Lovely environment and food.
Enjoyed a bottle of red wine with dinner. Everything was very good, had the Brussel sprouts then 2 hamburgers.
Our waiter Brandon was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wines.
Always love going to Vino Cruz. Their wine selection is superb and the food is outstanding. Service is friendly and well staffed.
Great food and great wine selection.
It was so nice to be back at Vino Cruz! It’s still one of my favorite spots. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff and an amazing wine collection. Looking forward to our next visit.
I would not know how this restaurant is, as they refused to honor my open table reservation and were very rude and rather panicky in their so doing.
Horrible experience, terrible service. The first thing they told us when we arrived for our 3pm reservation was that they weren't supposed to be getting new reservations and they didn't know we were coming. Then they pointed at a table by the entrance or a table in the back and told us to sit at either...which would have been fine, except that two other parties showed up AFTER we had already sat down and each of them received wine, water, and menus before we were even offered anything. I was a bartender and a server for ten years, so I'm normally forgiving when a staff is overwhelmed, but when I see them literally ignore me, that is hard to take. They had brought us water, but it was 25 minutes between getting there and actually being asked what kind of wine we would like to try--at a wine bar...when the wine finally arrived, my glass was full of cork. Sometimes some cork ends up in your wine, but when you are paying $13/glass and waiting nearly a half hour for it, the last thing you want is cork in your mouth. I didn't drink a drop from my glass but we paid for it anyway and left. In the end I paid $30 for one glass of wine that my date and I shared...horrible experience.
Great place, excellent wine list, tasty food and fantastic service!
What a great menu and fantastic service! I highly recommend this place.
We stopped in for appetizers and wine and it was delicious as usual. Our waiter was superb and has never steered us wrong on wine selection.
Enjoyed our time there. Great wines by the glass.. food pretty good
Wonderful freshly prepared food pared with local wines. Some outdoor seating with gas heaters. Love the flat bread pizza specials!
Everything was spot on delicious as well as a super wine list.
Dining in the parking lot isn’t ideal, but we live in the time of COVID.
The food and service was excellent, and the wine recommendation SPOT ON.
We’ll be back!
Fantastic, passionate wine folks with an incredible small kitchen. Great!
I love Vino Cruz! During this difficult time, it's important to support our local businesses so they can stay open. Their food is delicious, they have a great wine selection, the wait staff is very courteous, and it's a nice, yet comfortable, environment. I think their prices are on the higher side, so I don't go there often, but I really enjoy it when I do!
It was very nice. Good food. Great service.
Tried several small plates and the or grass-fed burger. All very tasty!
Great food, great wine, great service! One of our favorites.
Vino Cruz does a good job of keeping up quality of food and experience with the outdoor dining regulations. The staff is warm and accomodating.
An oasis in Soquel, this hidden gem is a must for wine lovers who also enjoy perfectly prepared food. This isn't your typical boring wine bar food either: this is serious cuisine! The beet salad is fantastic, the fish tacos exemplary, the burger so good my burger-fixated friend has ordered it more than once. Love the flatbreads and the achiote chicken sandwich, served on a bun baked specially for VinoCruz. Try the bison meatballs if you want a satisfying gnosh, and don't miss the specially spiced nuts. And order wines by the taste, because you will discover something amazing every time.
It was a birthday lunch and they gave a me a gift certificate to come back as a birthday gift.
Delicious small plates and wines!
Was a great experience except a lady next to our table cough without covering (it wasn’t too nice/considerate given current situation; It is an individual issue not restaurant). Our server was very nice especially let us know an issue with the bottle of wine he was about to open and grab us a new one. Since it was our anniversary luncheon and my husband would like to get a pair of wine glass for souvenir, our server checked and make sure the wine glasses we’ve got are new and in great condition. Overall, very nice experience.
Brendan our server was prompt and checking in frequently! Great service, great food and great choices on wine!
We stopped by for a glass of wine after eating earlier at home. We were served outside by Brian, an amiable server who we had served us before. Even though Vinocruz was fairly busy, Brian was very efficient as well as informative helping us choose 2 delicious glasses Of wine.
Excellent food, great service, good wine selection by the glass.
We loved the fish and beef tacos and Mary Beth’s flatbread pizza. Our favorite was the grassfed burger.
Best burger in the county! Amazing local wines, cute friendly and inviting. Would recommend a visit for ANY occasion
Wine selection is great, food is tasty and service is very friendly!
