Vino e Grano - Eataly Downtown NYC
The food was absolutely incredible! Menu was slightly confusing and portions were large so we split two dishes between two people
Casual atmosphere, cozy. Excellent food & service. Unique dishes and excellent wine. Relaxing lunch.
We ate here after a day of shopping in Soho and ended up in Century 21st as last stop. This is just across the street. It has a great view from the 3rd floor and the food is of high quality although prices are also a little steep. A pasta dish is $20-25 and portions are relatively small’ish for the price. Its a noisy place but the ambience is nice: rustic Italian farmtable atmosphere.
I would go there again primarily because its hard to find places like this in the Wall Street area.
Food was just ok. Convenient to where we stayed. Value of prix fixe and wine was very good.
We enjoyed the Eataly version of "restaurant week" – a set menu (with a few choices) at an excellent price. Food was good – portions even too large (we took a lot of food with us at the end). Good selection of wines, service was efficient if indifferent. We'll go back now that we see how this particular option in Eataly operates.
We went for a special dining promotion. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable.
The good -
2) Waiters were good
The bad -
1) Probably among the worst pizzas I have had
Easy spot to meet downtown, especially for people coming in from Jersey City. But the service is definitely lacking. We came during happy hour and didn't know until after we were seated that HH was only at the bar. Our waitress came to take our order, and didn't come back until we physically waved her down to get our bill. It felt like the staff was on autopilot instead of actually responding to our needs.
Delicious. High quality food. It’s crowded but so good.
Overcrowded, bad service, ok food. Expected more from Eataly.
My team and I had our work lunch here on Thursday (2/21). With 6 very unique personalities (and dietary restrictions) it is usually a bit difficult to agree on a place that we all love. Vino e Grano, was a quick choice, and it did not disappoint! Offering Market fresh food, both vegetable and meat entrees, as well as low or carb free options- everyone’s tastebuds and tummies were satisfied and not disturbed! With an excellent wine list and superb views to boot! We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be coming back for another team gathering.
Great food, delicious, well balanced & beautifuly plated!
I work in the neighborhood, and this is one of my favorite after-work places. I reserved a table for dinner and brought two colleagues visiting from out of town. We were seated at a table overlooking the street, and they were impressed by the quality of food, the wine, the service, and the atmosphere.
Good food. Decent prices. Especially for the neighborhood.
Great food and priced well. Plenty of vegetarian options with flavorful indredients and authentic Italian cuisine. I love shopping the store after lunch or dinner
Great food - everyone always loves the food and during the day floor to ceiling windows bring in lovely light. Area and the restaurant are filled with tourists - def very popular.
Unfortunately the service is v e r y slow. Had two lunches both after 1 pm on weekdays within one month period and on both occasions the wait times to place your order, food, check, credit card return - were pretty significant.
Great for leisurely meal. Not so great if you have to be somewhere.
Good but penne pasta shouldn’t be with lentils
I love the idea of a restaurant within a marketplace, what a cool thing. We got in the city a little early so we made our way through the marketplace choosing what we wanted to take home after our lunch. A total must is the mozzarella sampler, it was so delicious. You get to pick 3 styles and one of my favorites was the stracciatella, however I was disappointed that they had none prepared in the marketplace to take home. My entree was the Tagliatelle pasta dish. Pasta was amazingly fresh and the sauce just right, the meal was a little pricey for the amount of food but all in all it was worth it. We had a great waiter who was very attentive and right on top of things. I can't wait to go back!
It’s a cool concept with a market style set up with several restaurants. The food was very good. It was very busy and crowded so the service was fair.
The food wasn’t good and too expensive. My ravioli portion was tiny. We don’t recommend this restaurant
Good food, great atmosphere
I mistakenly selected Vino e Grano restaurant at the downtown store instead of the more formal restaurant that I had visited there before. What a pleasant surprise - liked this restaurant as much or maybe more!
Food was excellent. We highly recommend this place.
Wonderful service and Food! Large portions for lunch and a beautiful large open space!
The food was very good and really authentically made Italian.
The food was some of the best Italian food I have ever had. But the fact that we were ignored for ten minutes after our meal, had the check dropped off on our table without anyone asking if we wanted any more wine, desserts or coffee, and then had to wait another ten minutes to have the check taken by someone makes us never want to go back there ever again. Was the worst service I have ever experienced
We ordered 7 different items and everyone of them was outstanding. Definitely will be back soon
The food and wine were great! The service was pretty hit or miss (we had to ask for some things multiple times, but everyone was really friendly). The trio of mozzarellas was delightful. For salads/antipasti, I really enjoyed the carote (though it contained surprisingly few carrots) and the cesare. The steak and the papardelle (with sausage) were other highlights. I didn't have any pizza, but I can say it is very tall and fluffy (and looked very tasty).
The charcuterie board was not great. The meats and cheeses were nothin extraordinary for their price. The waiter wasn’t attentive and didn’t check in with us whether we wanted more wine, food, etc.
Excellent pasta dishes in casual atmosphere. They are very serious about the quality of the pasta regardless of sauces. Wine list has plenty of selections, Italuan focus obviously.
Casual dinner with a friend. Great wine and calamari. Split the sausage pizza which was very good.
Had a wonderful meal with friends. The food was exceptional and the service and ambiance were wonderful. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Great experience I had here due lunch with a group of international friends. We were a party of 7 who increased to 10 at the last minute. The hostess was very accommodating and added additional people to our reservation even 15 minutes before our expected time.
Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable about the food and wine, as well as quick to serve us.
The food was superb and better than expected. It was served extremely hot, fresh, and fast.
The ambiance was lively and just what our group needed, because we were a little noisy. Would definitely go again.
The food was delicious. Could have been a few dollars less.
Hostess asked if we wanted to move the table. We had two different servers. Our drink order was delayed. There was a chip in one of the glasses. Service was overall very poorly managed. It was a birthday lunch with friends from out of town and I felt terrible for taking them there. I usually do not write reviews but I felt bad that I suggested the restaurant for people that never get the chance to spend time in NYC. I wanted it to be special.
Great Place! Great Service!
Generally good. A bit loud but to be expected in the middle of a market place. Food was excellent. Service was a touch slow and in the middle of dinner the fire alarm went off muntiple times.
Great food and even better service. Fantastic vibe!
A little pricey but food was excellent
Busy and lively place. Fantastic cheese selection. Service felt abrupt but it was very busy. Nice option for lunch
