Our food was cold and not really presented very well for the price point. It has SO much potential and such a cute space that if there was a little more attention to detail, would have and could have rocked it.
Service was excellent. Accommodated a party of 4 that turned into a party of 10!
Very good food - waiter ok but not the most attentive - small room with large bar where a group of ladies were very loud and disturbing. May wait to go back until we can eat outside again.
We enjoy the weekly Flights & Bites specials, which offer both interesting wines to learn about and very tasty pairings with innovative appetizers. Wine specialist Brad is always on hand to make thoughtful suggestions from the exceptionally eclectic collection of bottled wines on hand, and the regular menu is always available with its line-up of dependable and varied offerings. Wine Bistro is a real asset for the Leesburg area, because of its steady support for lesser-know and upcoming wines from producers and areas that are not widely known or appreciated.
Amazing place with outstanding service and food. We were there on 11/13 in the evening and the hostess was incredibly attentive, personable and professional. I felt like am in a Michelin restaurant.
Extensive wine selection and a menu for everyone. The entree portions are a bit small.
This was a last minute choice as everywhere else was booked. Restaurant was very busy and service was slow but food was good and price was reasonable
The braised short rib was more or less like beef stew with not a lot of taste. My wife’s salad had dry over-cooked chicken. Otherwise staff was very friendly and pleasant and it was a nice atmosphere. Also I was surprised at the limited wine selection for a restaurant of this name ( VINO Bistro).
The owner was very attentive to the customers. He checked in to see if we enjoyed our food. The fish for the fish and chips was wonderful!
My wife and I both enjoyed the dining experience. The food was exceptional and the wine selection was nice.
Vino Bistro has wonderful 😋 food and, for me , a variety of beers on draft. My wife enjoyed the wine, with a good selection for pairing our Surf and Turf night. The shrimp, fish and clams were delicious. I am really glad I ordered the Braised Short Ribs. Tender meat with very savory sauce. Also impressed with asparagus and the light butter sauce that let the fresh vegetable taste come through with each bite.
The weather is nice. Ow in October to sit outside and not too loud to have a conversation. Holding back a star because the service could be more polished but no worries! Ask for Ricky, he will take care of you with a smile and great recommendations. Even the bartender went out of his way! Finally, try the Pumpkin ale before its gone! It's not over the top at all, but just right for a relaxing Friday night with my love! Cheers!
My wife and I have been to Vino Bistro twice and we really enjoy the food and ambiance! The service has been excellent and the price point for the food and wine has been quite reasonable.
It would seem to us that Vino Bistro's business model is to be a boutique restaurant with a very nice and eclectic selection of wines for patrons to peruse and choose with the help of their sommelier. Here is where we found a disconnect. Nothing turns us off more than having an overly attentive sommelier who is clearly trying to "sell us" on the most expensive or their "special" wine.
On the night we went to Vino Bistro, our waiter was attentive and helpful. The food came quickly and was excellent. When my wife and I walked inside (it was a beautiful night and sitting outside was a real treat) to look at the wine selection, the sommelier practically pounced on us and was pointing to the top shelf selections that were in the $200 range. We're not experts, but we do know what we like and we understand what wines ought to cost. We chose a nice red blend that was in the $41 dollar range. The sommelier was clearly disappointed.
I didn't finally get upset with him until the end of the evening. We enjoyed our meal and bottle of wine and was prepared to take a bottle home. The sommelier was very interested in getting us to purchase the "special" bottle at a special price. When we instead opted to buy a bottle of what we enjoyed at dinner, he simply placed it in a bag for us, brought it to the table and didn't say another word. He acted like a pouty child who didn't get his way.
My wife and I really want to come back and enjoy Vino Bistro, however perhaps you might employ more laid back informative sommeliers as opposed to young, socially awkward ones who clearly want to make a commission on getting you to buy what they want instead of educating you to make your own decision.
Great food, wine, service, and live music. Volume was a bit loud for conversation, but our table was close to the singer. Might have been less of an issue in another location. This was my second visit. I plan to return again.
Great wine recommendations from an extensive cellar and personal service! We eat there at least once a month to enjoy good food and wine with friends.
Great birthday dinner with live acoustic music!
Great local restaurant and bar always a great experience and food/drinks.
My friend and I found this place on Open Table and didn’t know much about it. We were very pleased! We had a great meal and EXCELLENT mixed drinks. The staff was so friendly too. Loved the ambiance and the activity at the bar with the mixologists. Just an overall great experience.
Great place for date night, family dinner and music on the weekends.
We live Vino Bistro! It is now our go-to for a great night hanging with friends. The bar tender is MAGIC and the food is excellent (and we are crazy picky!)
They have a Sommelier on staff and a huge selection of really great wines. The food is amazing but also a great value. Their service is really excellent as well!
Dinner before a concert. The food was amazing. We all ordered the beet salad. We especially loved the wine! A fantastic Tempranillo from Spain. We were happy to see the restaurant busy!!
Delicious brunch and courteous service! Yummy mimosas, too.
Great location, and the food was very tasty. We sat there for a while and had to ask someone to send waitstaff to our table. Once we had a wait person, it was a pleasant experience and the wine suggestions were very good.
The Sauvignon Blanc was delicious on a warm summer’s night.
The wine manager was very knowledgeable and helpful!
We ordered the grilled salmon and it was simply delicious!
Everyone we interacted with friendly, helpful, and professional.
We don't often get to this part of Loudon Co, but it was well worth the trip. Eclectic decoration plus inventive and delicious menu plus enthusiastic wait staff equals a great evening out at a great value. We had the mix and match charcuterie board for an appetizer and the duck and beef burgundy and sampled several wines. The wines were sold and at a very good price point and the food was fresh, delicious and a different take on the old standards. The waitress "lost" our dessert ticket, and we wanted forever for the bread pudding (which was superb, btw) but they took it off the bill and also gave us free coffee. We look forward to returning soon.
We loved the intimacy of the restaurant and the food was absolutely excellent. We had the cheese board, roasted beet salad appetizers, and seafood, salmon, beef filet, and Beef Burgundy entrees. All were superb…in addition to the French press coffee, bread pudding, and wonderful service. We shall return soon.
We ate outside. It was noisy, though the outdoor entertainer was good. The servers were spread thin, as is the current shortage, so service was a bit slow. Our server was very friendly but only had time to get us one drink a piece during the whole meal. Unfortunately, we were expecting a slightly more elevated meal for the price and set up. My shrimp was overcooked, so it was chewy. The risotto needed more seasoning. My husband said his steak was ok. A little disappointing.
Fun night out of good food, great atmosphere. Excellent neighborhood spot, we’ll be back soon!
Excellent food, wine and ambiance. Staff knows their wines and food and had excellent suggestions and were very attentive. Tried appetizers, main meals and desserts and fully enjoyed it all. Excellent chef! Will be going again and often.
The eggs Benedict would have been five star if the English muffins had been fresh and not hard as a rock.
Booked this based on the rave reviews. It was 'okay'. It says dress code is biz casual yet the staff are dressed in in cami tops /jeans,which is fine but don't have a dress code. Wait staff are clearly new (which seems to be the situation everywhere) but for a small menu I would expect the staff to be more knowledgeable. The Cippolini stew with Chorzio was robust and had great flavors. Filet mignon @ $39 was decent size and cooked to required taste but the au poivre sauce looked anemic and had a few sparse peppercorns in it. Steak Frites cooked to liking also but again, the sauce lacked authenticity. Mussels were tasty and good sauce with bacon. All food could have been a little warmer with temperature. As the staff were not on their game we didn't feel like complaining and sending it back. We asked for the dessert menu and there are 3 options I think. When we ordered the one we wanted we were told it was not available. But the creme brulee was delicious. Good price point on drinks and wine. Food price point is high for location/quality and level of service. The ambience was not as expected. Dark colors/nouveau type. AC could have been better but than could have been on off night. Would we go back? Probably not. The Italian joint next door was hopping and had a nice vibe to it.
Had a nice dinner at Vino Bistro with friends. Very good service and food was delicious as well. Sat at table inside by the open doors so had best of both worlds with entertainment from band in town square.
Excellent as usual!
If you go to Vino Bistro, go for the food--it's good--and the company of your dining companions and resolve to be chill about the erratic service. The kitchen has its act together, the front of the house--not so much. After 15 minutes, we finally got glasses of water and ordered wine. The wine came 20 minutes later. We laughed it off and had a good time. We ordered the battered shrimp appetizer (good), a market salad (fresh and lightly dressed), the branzino (delicious), steak frites (also delicious), with sides of Brussels sprouts and a risotto cake. I'd go back for the food for sure.
Great food, great service, great specials for a high value experience!
The food was good, but very unhappy about service. The waiter was not courteous, didn’t wear a mask and didn’t have uniform.
The website advertises completely different from what I have seen.
The entrees are always good. They have a nice list of wines and offer discounts when you purchase from their wine bins.
Always a Pleasure. We look forward to our visits. Good food and Good service,
A nice, overall enjoyable dinner. Service was a little spotty but to be fair, they were extremely busy and I know a lot of places are running short of staff. We’ll definitely be back!
Loved the food and picking a bottle off the shelf and drinking it. So many choices and excellent value for both the food and especially the wine.
