Great service! Excellent wine. The pasta is great plus the appetizers—recommend. We didn’t have dessert. A little hard to hear for a business type meeting. But went twice in a week and enjoyed! Loved this wine!

It’s a fun experience overall. My dish was pretty impressive, but most at my table were underwhelmed. Also, the portion size compared to the cost did not match. Cost was high in regards to the serving. Not to mention drinks are pretty pricey too. Overall a fun experience, but prepare for the dent in the wallet.

The food could not have been anymore outstanding, practically floating away like a cartoon character with the sights and smells and sounds lifting me off my feet. Every single dish arrived in record time basically seconds after we ordered. My branzino fish started talking to me I could see all the memories and dreams and aspirations the fish had in life. The fish looked at me with determination and said, eat me eat me eat me, you are worthy enough to deserve this dish. Each bite delicately crafted as if they had caught the fish minutes before my meal. My Italian olives were brought out and it was basically natures candy, eating the pits of the olives were a bit strange but very tasty. And last of all my fruitti di Mari arrived and my son thought it was great I couldn’t keep my eyes off my food so I decided to ditch having dinner with my son and just eat my delicious fish, let me tell you he was not happy. Bryan our waiter felt like a long time friend making us feel very welcome. His food recommendations were like god hand picked the best food just for me and my family. I was gaining memories of that time in Cuba when he and I went deep sea scuba diving and caught a mahi mahi, but then the next day it was all a dream and that never happened. Anyway overall 10/10 experience I will be returning in the future watch out for me Eataly!

Traveled to Chicago and wanted to try Eatly. The menu offering was sparse but the reason for the low score is due to very rude waiter Dereck. He was very disrespectful and if we would have let him would have ruined our mood.

We love Eataly. The service is always wonderful and the food a treat. However, this time both of our dishes were way oversalted. I ordered the branzino and would have loved to eat the crispy skin and the grilled escarole it was on, but they were inedible because of the amount of salt. If you go, I suggest telling your server to ask the kitchen to go easy with the salt shaker.

Everything was as expected, solid Italian and Mediterranean inspired fare. While better than average when you had the waitstaff’s attention, it took over an hour or more to get our meals and basically didn’t see the waiter till the end of the meal. They did comp some stuff on their own to make up for poor service, so will definitely give them another shot. Luckily we were able to entertain our guest with plenty of libations to make up for their experience.

Arancini were excellent - tastes as good as what one might get in Sicily (could be bigger though). Seafood stew was delicious…I don’t usually think of spicy food for Italian but the level of spiciness was just right…we asked for a spoon to finish it off. The wine selections were very good…I’ll order the frappato again…the server warned about the sediments…not an issue at all because the wine was smooth and easily drinkable. Tiramisu and grappa ended the meal nicely. Thanks for the complimentary amaro!

This was the first time for 2 of us, and we enjoyed it tremendously. The service was outstanding, our waiter answered our questions and had recommendations, like pepper flakes on the pizza It was a lovely dinner, and it was my moms birthday and the dessert was delicious We will be back

This restaurant gives you a great taste of Italy and it’s regions. The wine and drink selection is excellent and the drinks are a great value. Service is very polite and it’s a cool experience to sit in the middle of the action.

Enjoyed the beet burrata, olives, cheese ravioli, and Falanghina. The service was excellent, and the waiter very knowledgeable about the menu and food preparation. Still the best Italian in Chicago.
