Next time you r in Boston, you MUST check out Vinny’s!! Best Italian I have ever had! Hands down! It bought back so many memories of Detroit and the Italian stores and my grandparents and parents. I seriously had tears in my eyes!! Mangia, Mangia!! ❤️❤️

Since my now middle aged son went to Tufts I have been a fan of Vinny’s. I stumbled on Vinny’s as I was exploring restaurants in Boston 20+ years ago. I found a gem, a neighborhood place with great food, incredible portions and a friendly staff. Every time we return to Boston fro Seattle we hit Vinny’s. If you haven’t been, what are you waiting for? The fact that they are still there for 20+ years is a testament to their quality. Thanks again Vinny’s for the usual great meal.

Although the food was delicious, the service left much to be desired. The servers seemed annoyed throughout our meal, and the clatter of dropping the dishes in a bus tub was unnecessary and made it hard to visit. Also, I ordered a white wine and was given the most expensive selection without being asked. We have been to Vinny’s on a number of occasions, but I am afraid this will be our last.

We have dined at Vinny’s many times and travel from the south shore to get to Vinny’s. Last night it took 75 minutes to get there mostly due to the weather, but because the food has always been excellent, we don’t mind the long ride. There were 4 of us in our party. Our server was not the friendliest but got our cocktails and waters right away. We ordered fried calamari as an appetizer and it was the toughest and most rubbery calamari ever. There was not a single tentacle in the order. We couldn’t even eat it all because it just wasn’t good. The two guys ordered beef braciole which they said was excellent and my girlfriend ordered chicken Marsala which she said was delicious as well. I ordered a combo of veal and eggplant parmigiana. They forgot the eggplant and after I said something to our waitress, she said she would order it and it would take about 5 minutes which it did. She also took the eggplant off the bill. I’m glad she did because like the calamari, the eggplant was very hard, part of it was definitely overcooked. The veal was excellent and by the time the eggplant came I was pretty full because the veal was so delicious as was the sauce. They had a delicious sangria as a special. I ordered a second glass to go with dinner, but I never got it. Geez, maybe the waitress just didn’t like me!!!Although most of our food was great, unfortunately for me Vinny’s was a disappointment.

I don't get over to Vinny's as often as I'd like. As my brother likes to remind me, I don't have to go to the North End for great Italian food. Vinny has long loved sharing his love of good food. I like trying something different with each visit. This time I had chicken bracciola with homemade fusilli. Delicious and a large portion. The service was good and the ambience was casual and fairly quiet, so conversing was easy. I'll be back

When we arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time (which itself was 1 hour before it was supposed to close according to its on-line hours), we were rudely told that the restaurant was closed. No explanation - just yelling over me that they were closed. There’s a fabulous Mexican place down the street that saved the evening, though! Check it out!

We have eaten here many times and in the last six months the quality has plummeted. There were 4 of us…three couldn’t finish their meals because the food was so bad. We were celebrating a birthday and didn’t want to send 3 meals back…won’t return anytime soon

Had a great time Authentic food !! Casual North End feel and a friendly staff. We are never disappointed there. Just wish parking was easier and Somerville tickets on a Saturday evening, what town does that at least don’t use antiquated meter that use quarters only!! But the restaurant is worth it!!

Fantastic food here. I had the chicken, ziti and broccoli with fresh Fusilli pasta and it was delicious. Large portions. My hubby loved the stuffed calamari. We also enjoyed the Arancini. Will be back!!

They accommodated my gluten and soy allergies. The waitress made sure the chef knew I could only have olive oil due to soybean allergy. I greatly appreciated this. My meal along with my parties’s meals were all delicious.

Food was great...exactly what I expected in a small neighborhood style Italian Restaurant. Despite only having one waitress covering a large area, service was prompt. 2 dinners & a bottle of wine for $100 = great value! Parking is tricky...need to circle the block a few times and find something on the street somewhere.
