We took a friend for her birthday dinner. The food and service were both top notch. My steak was delicious and it was cooked perfectly.
Great food and personable staff.
Enjoyed everything about the experience!
One of my favorite places. Great staff, great food. Best tiramisu.
1st time I had been and food was excellent. Staff was very helpful.
Superb food. Lasagna was perfect. Large portion. Tastey sauce. This continues to be one of my favorite restaurants. I found it through open table- and i keep coming back
Great food. Great service!!
I was on Tv. Would never think it was there otherwise.
Excellent as always!!!! Always my go to place when I have guests visiting from out of town. AMAZING ITALIAN. Service is always great and I just can't say enough about the food!!!!! Everyone I've brought there is so impressed!
We love Vinny's. If I want Italian, I don't hesitate. Real homemade Italian cuisine.
Vinny’s provides delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. The service is fantastic. The setting is casual and comfortable. I would recommend a reservation as it can get busy.
We were seated right away and beverage and appetizer order taken promptly. All orders arrived promptly and in abundant quantity. The food was delicious. Will definitely return soon.
Best rabe on the planet. Their haddock over fresh pasta in a fresh tomato basil sauce is sublime. Very gracious and attentive, but not intrusive, service. I take my best friends here.
Vinny's is a special old fashion Italian restaurant. You can get meals there that you can't find many other places, such as tripe and rabbit. The home made pasta is fantastic. My favorite is the many ways they prepare calamari. Wine list is limited, but the spectacular food makes up for that.
Food is always great. The music was too loud making it difficult to have a conversation
Great food and great service. Hostess was very accommodating to our handicapped guest.
Took a great friend here from Atlanta who lives great Italian food - she loved the authentic dishes. The homemade sausages ( made in house) were a bit hit. And our antipasto platter was a huge revelation for her. The Limoncello Tartuffo dessert made us both extremely happy - a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful meal. The service was exemplary
Choose vinnys based on Phantom Review and internet reviews. We were looking for a casual Italian place and this one sounded perfect. We arrived by Uber so parking wasn't a problem. Had a reservation and we seated right away. As mentioned you question where you're going when you walk in as it a neighborhood deli. People are in line buying subs. You look to the back and there is a small cozy area for dining. Our waiter was great. Allowed us to sit with a glass of wine before ordering. We never felt rushed. I ordered chicken parm with fresh fuscilli and my friend choose chicken stir fry. Both dishes were hot and delicious. The prices were on the top side for Basic Italian but the portions were enormous and prepared perfectly. The right choice for us that night.
Old school quality and quantity. Outstanding Italian American food, worthy of a Scorsese movie. Worth the trip from LA, which I made today. Really, more of a pilgrimage.
Don't let the exterior scare you. It may look like you are entering a deli, but there is restaurant seating in the back and the food is fantastic.
My wife almost always orders the tripe because she really likes it and so few places serve it. Tonight she branched out to lamb Ossobuco and wasn't disappointed.
Vinny's is a fantastic find with excellent authentic food is a comfortable setting without the high prices of the North End restaurants. Good service, accommodating and a real gem. Large servings and always bring some home.
Was ok. I come here often
Food was great as it always is- but wait staff was quite slow, and a little negligent. Biggest criticism was toward the end of our main meal when they used bleach to clean sonething near our table and the smell made it hard to taste the food afterwards. We almist left. I mentioned something- they apologized and the smell disipated.
Food is always good here. Homemade pasta. Great antipasto. Sauces well seasoned. And its authentic. I will be back. But tonight wasnt the best with the tacky use of bleach so near dinibg room while diners were eating.
A single server for a restaurant full of people. He kept his bearing and took care of everyone. Poor guy was running in every direction.
Food was excellent chicken was cooked perfectly pasta was perfect go for the homemade pasta it’s worth it.
Food was outstanding as usual. Large portions and great taste.
Vinny's has really good Sicilian cuisine, including rabbit and some Sicilian wines. Large entrees - great value...They will serve a first course pasta family style if you ask. It's a very casual place, almost too much so, but it's part of the ambiance. Used to be a more of a convenience store in the front w/restaurant in the back, but less so now. The wait staff can be a tiny bit rough around the edges, but friendly and good. There's one young gentleman who's been working there for years who is always friendly and calm no matter how crazy busy it is. The double pork chop with peppers is fantastic, the homemade fusilli pasta can't be beat. Wonderful eggplant parm...So many great dishes... This is a great neighborhood restaurant that's worth a drive. I never get tired of it.
Vinny’s is Always good! Nothing is ever below a B. The eggplant parmigiana is nice & thin. The homemade pasta is delicious and cooked properly. The portions of most items are enormous. Good meatballs - proper consistency. I often get a side of meatballs or sausage if there is no meat in my chosen entre. The service varies but is never poor. It’s real comfort food for us: consistent, served hot & delicious.
What a great find! Delicious Sicilian cuisine, great service and recommendations by our server, and a caprese salad and tiramisu that met my high expectations— along with our main courses as well!
Nice place, great food and very good staff
Great as usual. This time I had the Sicilian rqabbit--a dish hard to find anywhere else. Big pieces of on-the-bone stweweed rabbit--a little like chicken, only tastier,--coooked with olives, celery and capers. It's pungent and tasty, unusual but delicious. One of my Vinny's favorites--also served at lunch. And with a side of angel-hair pasta with Vinny's unbelievably good marinara sauce--what could be better on a cold winter night? And the service is tops!
One of our favorite restaurants. Beats the North End. Excellent food ( seafood, veal, pasta) and great service. Much quieter on a Sunday. Would highly recommend
The dining room was overcrowded, we were in very tight quarters and we were left with an empty bread basket for over an hour waiting for our food.
Food is always awesome here. Found this place through open table and have been back 3 times since
Pastas are freshly made, and sauces truly Sicilian. Brocciole perfect.
Small space which can get noisey.
Waitress refused to make cappuccino for us (a must for Italian restauranrs) because she was alone on shift and it takes too much time.
Other than that disappointment, all else was great
Food was great. Portions were monstrous. Service was slow.
My third time eating here since I found it in open table. Small place. Not a fancy space, but food is authentic. I had the chicken saltilimbica. Was very good.
In short, I keep going back. I wouldn't if it were not good food at good price. Just don't expect fancy service in a posh setting. It's a neighborhood spot
Although we had reservations and upstairs was only one third full we were escorted downstairs all by ourselves! Disappointing! Not until after we paid our check did anyone else come down. Food was delicious. Upon leaving the entire upstairs was full!
Was at Vinny's last week to celebrate a freind's birthday (her choice of restaurant), and everyone loved it. Then went back just for some delicious comfort food. The manicotti wasn't on the menu, but it was available if you asked for it. It's the best manicotti I've ever had, and it's a mystery why it's not on the regular menu. But ask and you might receive. Deeply flavorful and creamy and in a generous portion, it's fabulous!
Vinny's is a wonderful neighborhood, casual restaurant, but don't be fooled by the overtly casual atmosphere. The food is really great and you get a huge plate of food - such value rarely exists anymore. On my most recent visit, we had such a nice server (Nancy?) and I was happy to see that the fellow at the pass was someone who's been there for a number of years... that's a good sign.
We are frequent visitors. Food never disappoints.. always fresh and authentic. Meals are cooked to order so service can be somewhat slow but worth the wait. Great value and very nice, competent staff
Casual and yummy. I went here about 10 yrs ago and it’s still consistent.
