                                                                                                                                    Had a hankering for East Indian food and was in Winnipeg. Not knowing where to go i looked online and saw Vinnies Hot Foods. The reviews were positive and the menu had items such as puttu and dosa that i have never tried. Made the decision to go and was not disappointed! It was a wonderful experience. We ordered biryani, puttu, and fish molee. The owner put on some hindu music and started cooking in her open kitchen - it just added to the experience. As the food cooked the more hungry we got. The food literally came right off the heat to your table. The food was excellent (I would recommend any of the dishes i ordered) and the owner was extremely friendly. It was nice chatting to her and learning about her passion for cooking and of their Selkirk location. I cannot stress enough - check this gem of a restaurant out! Looking forward to coming back again and next time i will try the dosa.

                                                                                                                                    Very small place off the beaten track, but worth the visit. Husband and wife owners (collectively "Vinnie") are very hardworking and very friendly. They are from the southern tip of India, and the cooking is authentically from there. The food was delicious and worth the wait while it was prepared almost from scratch. I am a fan of Indian food, but their menu included some dishes that I have never seen before (Puttu and Dosa).

                                                                                                                                    Great food at a reasonable price. Very delicious. The chicken curry dish could have had more than 2 small chicken legs. Very friendly.

                                                                                                                                    This is a small unique gem in winnipeg Authentic Indian food flavours.Chef took great care in explaining their unique menu items, so I could make my choice.Biriyans tasted good.Its a Small Dining place but the staff made sure I was never felt that way. It's pretty economical to dine in here. People should try this place , will be repeating myself again..
