I had the 12 oz filet. It was cooked to perfection. This was a full flavor, mouth watering steak. The wine pairings can't be beat. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Food, Service and entire experience was fantastic.
...of cordial hosts/hostesses, wait staff; food cooked to perfection and live jazz. It made for a delightful evening and the Cioppino while it was something new for me it did not disappoint! It was even better the day after. The musicians were impressive, and I enjoyed their style of jazz--light and entertaining. It was a very good experience.
I've had dinner at Vines a number of times and have yet (knock on wood) to have a bad meal / experience. The grilled octopus app is a must have - the best anywhere - and whether you're feeling carnivorous or seafaring, the choices are prepared to perfection and served in a most pleasant presentation. The staff is terrific, the live jazz music is usually good and you'll have a good time
Took a group of clients here for dinner and we were all thrilled. Excellent service. Friendly atmosphere and great food. Definitely recommend the side of Daphene potatoes. Not low calories but worth it. For dessert they have the best key lime pie.
Energetic vibe, great jazz, great food, except would not order desserts here -- overpriced for the quality of the desserts. Everything else is superb. Get your steaks with a seasoned topping/crust, otherwise it is just the pure steak itself. Would return for seafood/steak, wine list, and the grilled octupus which is a unique appetizer here.
We had a large group and they accommodated us very well. The food was very good and the service was attentive but not overbearing. The noise coming from the bar is very loud. I would not recommend it if you are wanting a quiet intimate dinner.
Our dinner was a birthday celebration. The steaks were the best. The service was the best. It is a bit pricey but for special occasions it is a great place for a great dinner.
food was medicore, not seasoned , escargot was tough-sauce good, brocolini needed to cook for another minute. overall did not enjoy the meal. The wine was excellent and the service was also, Jay is a very attentive waiter.
The food was excelent and the service was great!
Awesome food and exceptional service! My only problem was price. Save it for a special occasion as it is a wonderful experience.
All the wait staff was very attentive and the food was excellent but pricey.
We were a group of 5 for a company dinner. We are from California and only had one free night for dinner. Vines Grille and Wine Bar did not disappoint. The Carpaccio appetizer, Waygu Filet Mignon, and Lobster Mac & Cheese were all so delicious!
J was the absolute best knowledge level was through the roof confident about everything and the food is to die for. The prices are a little high but the end result far exceeds anything about the bill
It was an outstanding restaurant, great food, and service. I will be visiting the Vines again!!!
This was a great find thanks to YELP and OPEN TABLE. The wait staff was superb. The food was great - we got every side and appetizer on the menu + a salad. No main entrees, but wow! What great food. The wine menu was diverse and we enjoyed a great bottle of Cab Franc. Two thumbs up. Wonderful restaurant.
Perhaps it was the issue that we went on a Monday night, but food quality should be consistent throughout the week. We went for the wine list, and were not disappointed. Service, too, was exemplary. The bread was delicious, although the seasoned butter served as a side really didn't strike me as being more than whipped butter. And that was the issue with my appetizer and fish entree - just seemed tired and lacking in flavor, especially given the prices of the dish. My husband's dish, a steak fillet, was cooked perfectly. And perhaps this is the point. It's a steakhouse. They do have live music, which is terrific, and not overly loud. Ambiance is good. Service was excellent, and if anything, overly attentive.
Went there with a friend, we had a good time; waitress was very knowable on the food and wine menu. This place is a must; don’t doubt about it you won’t regret it.
Celebrated our anniversary. Food was excellent and jazz band played good music. Good place for special occasions. We also saw large groups that seemed to enjoy their evenings as well.
Loved the steak but $42 was expensive. Loved our bottle of wine for $75 but it too was expensive. Did not care for the lemon cake because it was dry & thin & didn't have much taste to it. My husband's cheesecake wasn't that great either. The desserts were free since were celebrating our 25th anniversary! Loved the jazz band! That's what attracted me to the restaurant for our special occasion. Loved the fake fireplace on the wall TV's and the service was outstanding! Since our bill was over $200 I will only be able to come back again on special occasions.
Expensive, but great for a special nigh out. Live music, wonderful food and service.
The outdoor patio is perfect for a per dinner cocktail or appetizer. The wine list is phenomenal & service exceptional!.
Service was extremely slow. Excellent service when they did attend to us. I think because we had teenagers in our party we were kind of discriminated against even though appetizers and deserts were ordered by all. For an overall check of almost $400.00 I would expect service to be better. We dined here 6 months ago and it was a completely different story. I don't know if we just hit an off night or what. Food was excellent for three of our diners. I did not care for the salmon and my waiter asked if it was okay and when told I really didn't care for it, nothing was done.
Want great dinner, excellent service and killer wine list all mixed with outstanding live jazz or blues? Then this is your place. I make it a point every trip to Orlando to dinner here at least once during my visit.
Excellent as it always is.
Vines would run a close second to Ruth Chris. Second only because the steaks at Ruth Chris are amazing. The food at Vines was outstanding and the wine list extensive. Wait staff was terrific. Would definitely go there again.
Had a great time took my girl there for her birthday the live music was nice and we had a great view inside from our table.
My wife and enjoyed a wonderful evening at Vines. We enjoyed the crab cake to start. It was fantastic and a generous portion. My wife loved the filet and I had an 18oz Wagyu ribeye that was unbeatable. This was hands down the best steak I've ever had the luxury of eating. The server helped us select a wonderful bottle of wine as their wine list is quite extensive. The carmel popcorn cheese cake may have been the best cheesecake I've had as well, although I'm not as sure about that as the steak. I finished everything off with a smooth scotch, which the server also help me select. They had a fine selection of scotches. This may have been the most expensive meal I've treated myself to, but I hope I will again find such a bargain.
James and Eddie were just terrific! James suggested a nice bottle to my husband and it turned out to be a perfect match with our dinner. Their attention to detail and understand of the menu was well worth the evening. This is our second visit to the new Vines and we will be back.
I'm so glad my husband and I got to dine here, it was everything I wanted for our anniversary dinner. The service was amazing! And I loved the music!thank you so very much for a wonderful evening.
In Orlando and took some customers last night to this restuarant - great choice!! Excellent service, steaks, wine selection, and close everthing. If looking for a great meal with a customer or special person this is the place to go - not a "chain" steakhouse. The bar area was nice too with a jazz ensemble playing - mature crowd at the bar 45+.
Great jazz bar /restaurant - good for groups.
Great food, service and exceptional ambiance. Extensive wine list. A bit noisy near the bar area. A bit pricey but worth it.
Must get the Waugu Filet! excellent. Desserts were so so. but octopus app was phenomenol! loved the carpaccio as well!
This place is so perfect for an evening out with anyone. It has live music, great ambience, excellent wait staff and food that is cooked to perfection! I can hardly wait to go back.
Was extremely disappointed at the length of time it took for our drinks and food. Took over an hour plus for our good, long time for bread and drinks. When you are paying so much for a meal I would expect superior service and food. Waiting so long for the food overshadowed the taste of the food.
It is a simply wonderful gem. The food, service and music is excellent. It is where you go with special friends or that special someone. It's where you take yourself even if you are alone to relax and enjoy the ambiance while sipping some of the finest wines in town. You will not be disappointed.
Had a wonderful experience. Good food, great service and wonderful live jazz. Was special bday.
Vines is nice wine bar and the food was great. They're know for steaks, so I could' nt resist in trying one. I had the 8oz filet (medium) and it was perpared perfectly. The atmosphere was upbeat they had a live band playing top forty, something I did' nt expect. I thought this was a jazz bar? But after inquiry with Jay "the waiter", I was told this is something new they're tryning for this time of the year. Overall the experience is one I would recommend for a couples or groups of grown folks! But like all parents if you can't lose the kids o' well. Definitely ask for Jay if you can he's really cool.
We read the reviews - which generally said the food was very overpriced; however, we decided to give it a try thinking that the music would more than make up for it (besides, it wasn't apparent that on top of high prices all sides we a la carte). We had asked for a booth but were seated in the back (we could hear but not see the musicians); we asked to move closer, but the hostess never returned, and a booth remained vacant the entire time we dined (1.5 hours). Service was actually very good. Bred was excellent. Entrees...way too $ $42 for veal chop WITH NO SIDES! Sides $8-10 each. $44 for overly buttered sea bass with a wee bit of risotto?
Great food - fun place - very expensive...and that's by Orlando terms
