Great ambiance, good efficient service, excellent food. Noise level was too high, it made it difficult to have a conversation while dining. Mask wearing compliance could have been better, especially around the bar.
Wonderful restaurant! Music and great food. Friday night is not busy at all. So it made it more intimate for our date. For appetizers we had the lamb meatballs. It was okay, the tomato medley that accompanied it made the dish. The lamb meatballs had an strong iron or mineral-like taste to it. Nothing like the lamb chops entree we had on our last visit which was delicious. This time, I had a Caesar salad & the 8oz filet mignon (medium-well) and my guy had the Bell & Evans roasted chicken. For an additional side we ordered the lobster Mac and cheese. All dishes were delicious and cooked perfectly. I would recommend the purple orchid to drink. It’s just delightful.
We’ve visited Vines on a number of occasions. For the most part enjoyable but last night was just off and it’s all because service and value. There are a lot of choices in the area and Vines has taken over as most expensive yet I’d say our experiences at Eddie V’s or Ocean Prime or Chatham’s were better and cost about the same or most often, less.
In all the food was very good. Drinks were also pretty good but service ruined. We’ve worked with this waiter before and noticed his obvious recommendations for only the most expensive items in the menu but the tactics this time were simply annoying and disappointing. Upsell, Upsell, and more Upsell. He didn’t stop there, he pushed enough appetizers to feed an army. Upon further review of the receipt we see he charged us for a meal we did not have, charged us the same price for sides as he did for the same meal. There were so many issues with this service we are convinced this is NOT a mistake but done deliberately to boost checks and their self imposed 20% tip.
Last month we visited but decided to come back for another try. Not again

1st night of vacation dinner, the restaurant was very nice inside with live music. The food was really good, everything we had was very good considering the high price. Well worth it!
Such loud and rowdy people on the bar area ruined our dinner. What a waste of $150.
This restaurant needs to decide if it wants to be an upscale steakhouse or a low life Karoke bar. Sunday night at 6pm and 2 other disappointed customers like us. And here's the best part... I was almost assaulted in the bathroom by a drunk Karoke patron!
I start with that I’ve been eating at The Vines since 2011. And the food and staff and ambiance were consistently above expectations.
Waiter was worst I EVER had. His excuses for his inability to meet MINIMUM expectations were:
** “I’m working with a new guy”
- so we asked the 2nd waiter (who I personally had some good experiences with) and he was surprised by the question and said he has been a lead and secondary waiter there since 2008... this was lie #1 from our lead waiter
**”The restaurant is under staffed” not enough waiters
- we ate there the night before and had a great experience and meal... and we saw at least 10 waiters all working well together and checking on both customer and food... this was lie #2
** “It’s been chaotic, so there’s been confusion”
- our lead waiter and another lead waiter got into an argument where the other lead waiter said “worry about you own tables - do not bother my customers as I taking care of them”.... that was lie #3
** I could go on about our waiter going to tables with single women and parking himself to have long conversations with them... that the 4 tables he serviced all spoke to the manager separately about the lack of service - like no forks at place settings... not getting drinks... forgetting simple things like bread... returning to check on quality of food... etc
** now for the food ...
- my meal the Vines (Seafood) Cucchino and was a big bowl of salt... a blood pressure bomb... Not to mention it took our waiter 10 mins to get an unopened/untracked king crab claw opened for me to eat it.
- wife’s Sea Bass was so salty that she has to remove the charred side of the serving to remove the strong salt flavor. Note: we had this the night before - and it was cooked perfectly.
- the risotto that came with my wife’s Chilean Sea Bass was not risotto rice... it was undercooked soupy long grain rice
So much more to say but character limited... at end We spoke to Mgr. Who missed the point as waiter contd to “serve”
It was a fine restaurant. The good was fine. Not anything outstanding. I thought it was over priced for the quality. The scallops were overly salty and the salmon was over cooked. They did not ask how we wanted it cooked. We enjoyed the key lime pie.
For the price, I expected better food. I ordered the steak, and it was about the same quality as outback except 5x the price. They also have a lot of tables crammed in there, it was very tight. The server was good though!

We came here for our wedding anniversary. We sat at the bar before our reservation and she was great. When we were seated we asked if we could speak to the somm the server left and told us he was busy so no. So we were asking for some different wines and kept being told no. I ended up ordering a glass of

And I got the chicken which was way over cooked and just horrible. It was 20 minutes before anyone came
Over and all they did was say I guess you need a box and walked away. They brought our check and never asked us if we wanted anything. It was a bad experience and I would not

Great food and restaurant, service not quite as good as previous visits.
This place does not follow any social distancing rules. We were seated in a small room. There were four tables that sat 4 people and one table that seated was reserved for 12 people. Our chairs were right next to the other tables chairs. When either table had to get up they had to squeeze between the chairs. We were very uncomfortable with that. Our server was just par because he was to concerned with waiting on the larger party. Our food was very good but not sure I would go back with the table settings they have
Food was great and the band was not my style but the service was excellent.

We have been on a trip in orlando for some time and this is the best restuarant we have found. They have a chef and the food is excellent. The server was great and resturant is very clean and friendly

Fantastic dinner - best mussels we have had outside of France. My wife and I shared the Sea Bass and steak and it made a fantastic surf and turf. Waiters are top notch. It can get a little noisy in the dining room but worth it.

Place was very nice and fun. Service was outstanding and all servers and hostess were super professional and courteous. It was a little loud with the live singers but still super fun. My only complaint, and not sure if it was the restaurants problem or open table but they did not recognize my reservations and I had to sit and wait an extra 30 min to be seated. Perhaps open table had a glitch. Anyways worth the trip.
We had reservations for 7 and were placed in a garden area that was really a smoking area. It was disgusting. We waited 50 min before we were finally seated. We were told by waitress that they have a new menu and that the kitchen is not used to preparing the new menu so it’s taking longer to get seated. Obviously poor management and training.. Don’t think we’re going back
Nice atmosphere, great live music, exceptional wine list and an abundant variety of menu items.
Great for a date or small group get together. Our food was delicious- we all tried different entrees. My only complaint is the price is a little higher that what I thought it should be on some items.
Awesome atmosphere! Music was lively and the restaurant is made to be away from music if you wish. Food was amazing. Service was a bit slow. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon!

The calamari and the pappardelle were not good. The scallops and crab cake were good. The risotto was not good. The service was fine.
The restaurant was packed and the next table was seated right on top of us which was very unsettling in these COVID times. While the service was great , the drinks and food were below average. Our bill for 3 people with 1 drink and no appetizers or dessert was $220, for that I expect great food. The scallops were undercooked and the mushroom risotto was uneatable. The bolognese pasta was undercooked and hard as rock with so little sauce, it was hard to shallow. To say will not be returning is an understatement.
After reading all of the good reviews, I’m surprised that we had such a bad experience. First of all, our server was wearing a mask but would pull it down every time he spoke. Why wear a mask then? It was odd. A member in our party ordered a salad and requested that it come out before the entrees. It came out late with the rest of the food. The server spilled a drink on another member in our party. I get it, things happen but he didn’t apologize and only took the drink off the bill. The food was expensive obviously and I thought we would have an amazing experience but it was quite the opposite. In addition, we ordered two sides of potatoes and were only brought one. The server insisted that we finished one and he took it away. Then, we ordered a round of drinks and twenty minutes later they still hadn’t arrived so I told him to forget it. The whole experience was a letdown and it felt like we had been ripped off. It isn’t a good feeling to go out to a fancy place on vacation and have such subpar service.

Segregation at its finest. The discriminated and put black people in a room with closed doors then once the black people realized what was going on, they sent a “black” manager to offer desert. DamAge was already done. Will be our last visit
Our food came out cold. The server offered to heat it up ... that’s what you do with left overs. For the I expected more. I lost my appetite waiting for an order of asparagus to come out. It was just not a good experience.
Extremely good food, good mood, and great service. The steak, short ribs, and sea bass was amazing. Highly recommend
Excellent food! We had the calamari appetizer, lamb chops, salmon, mac and cheese for our entree , and chocolate cake for dessert. To drink we had two south beach martini’s, a very potent drink called Pearfection, a glass of Riesling and two bottles of michelob ultra beer. There was a band that played different geners of music which was really nice. It added to the overall experience. I definitely would go back again!

Can’t remember our servers name because he never introduced himself. We were sitting down for about 10 mins before he asked what we wanted to drink... still no name. We watched other servers walk around and not ask if we’ve been helped. I’m guessing he was busy because everything took forever— drinks, food, for him to ask if everything was ok with our food. We had asked a young lady who was walking by for lemons for our fish and she never came back with them. When he finally arrived, we asked him and that took a few minutes to arrive as well. It gets better. As we are still munching away at our delicious meals, he asked if we needed boxes!? Huh.? We literally had forks in our hand and I recall saying mid chewing “I’m still eating”. We were celebrating a birthday so I would’ve loved to hear “are you saving room for dessert” instead. We didn’t order any. We were ready to leave because service was just horrible. We still tipped 18-20%, we always do. But I am not happy with the level of service provided. That was my 2nd visit and most likely my last. My check says his name is Marcelino G.
The food was absolutely terrific. my dinner was Chilean Sea Bass laid over the best ever shrimp rissotto! The sea bass was cooked to perfection with an awesome crust all around it. I passed the word on to the chef, the flavors he achieved were better than Bobby Flay and he should challenge to beat Bobby! recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Orlando.
