Vines is always top notch. Chris was a fantastic server, made great suggestions, and was quick to meet all of our dining needs. The food is outstanding!! Bone in filet and sea bass are a MUST! We will return!
First time visit...which can be tough on a holiday. Besides having a longer than expected wait for our table (reservation for 10ppl), everything was excellent. Service was top notch and food excellent. Was hoping for live music in their lounge as normal but instead had a DJ which was ok (not great) and should have done a midnight count down. Also, a comp champagne toast would have been nice. All little things that didn't ruin our experience...certainly would recommend and will return.
We were forgotten about in the back room basically by our server. The service was the worst I've ever had there. Everyone was waiting for drinks constantly and a steak cooked wrong TWICE. I expect better from here and every other time I've been has been very good. Spoke to the manager who seemed to care at the time but did nothing about it and didnt even come to the table to apologize to everyone. Very poor service. I k ow it was New Years Eve but they are busy all the time and that shouldn't be an excuse for no apology to all of the guests.
The sea bass was excellent!! Cooked perfectly. The others in my group enjoyed their bacon wrapped filet as well!
Our last two visits were sub-par. This visit was worst and took place early on New Year's Eve which is also our anniversary. We had informed the restaurant in advance. Here are our issues: 1) Absolutely no recognition of anniversary or anyone expressing Happy New Year! 2) Bread was cold; 3) My wife's rice was not fully cooked; 4) My salad was a bit limp; 5) We were charged for two water bottles when only one was consumed; 5) Staff seemed somewhat aloof and very busy although the restaurant was not full; 6) We were greeted upon arrival with "you are late but we will try to seat you" (we arrived 5 minutes late but had to wait to get to the front desk almost 10 minutes due to processing issues. Overall, despite the rating by others, we will not be back.
Went here for New Year's Eve. Prices for moderately high, which would be okay if the service and food were great. However, the food was not impressive. The sauce for the steak was tasteless, lamb was okay. Onion soup was very good. The service left something to be desired as well. The waiter was kind of pretentious and stiff, and I don't like that especially on New Year. Overall, I wont be back for dinner.
We had 2 waiters, they never new what the other was doing, we were asked things twice several times. We also didn’t expect to pay $250 for dinner while sitting next to small children misbehaving. For that reason not sure I’d go back.
New Year's Eve dinner with 7 people. Very expensive! We knew it would be but expect great service.Waiter started out very well, but then disappeared. Took a long time to get food, but honestly the food was delicious. This is the third time I've been to this restaurant, and by far this was the worst service. I especially hate waiting and searching for the check at the end of the meal.
It was New Year's Eve and after 3 hours we wanted to get out of there.
However, good luck in Orlando.... they have the market cornered on poor service. 100,000 services jobs and maybe 30,000 good workers. The next night we were at an even worse place.
Took a risk on a new restaurant for New Years and it paid off in spades.
We liked our New Years Eve meal very much. I think they have a little ways to go to be a classic steakhouse like Ruth's Chris or Charley's or Morton's. Our food was excellent, service was good but a bit slow to get to us in one of the back rooms and they are indeed pricey so be prepared for that.
New Year’s Eve.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Vines. It was New Year's eve so it was very busy and the waiters/waitresses were moving fast. We did feel a little rushed. The food was very good but we've definitely had better filet mignon elsewhere for less money.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect and the service was outstanding!!!
My experience here was absolutely amazing! The food and service were just perfect!
We love Vines..took MIL for her 75th and she couldn’t be happier. Our server Bradley entertained and made her feel special and of course the food was to the point like always!!
We also frequent the restaurant for happy hour especially during live music performances. A great versatile place. Highly recommended.
Anniversary dinner and it was a wonderful experience
Nice setting, very pleasant experience. Food is excellent. Interpersonal conversation with waiters were good and funny
Absolutely outstanding. This was my third time dining at Vines and as usual, it did not disappoint. The food, service and drinks were all exceptional. We enjoyed the tuna tartare, tomato salad, filet and French onion risotto (which is not offered as a side but it’s worth the request). Chris was a fantastic server, on top of everything from our reservation seating request, to the wine, and exceeding all of our dining needs. Perfect date night!
Food was excellent, staff excellent but for what ever reason did not connect to this restaurant
The sea bass was amazing and so were the lamb chops. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection.
Excellent food and service. Strip steak was tender and flavorful. Live music was nice.
Superb meal. Sommelier assisted in helping us choose a nice wine. Wait staff was excellent. Highly recommended.
Very attentive service. Excellent wine list. Great ambiance on a Friday. Very pricey however so be prepared going in that it will not be a cheap meal. Parking can be a challenge. On a Friday night. Overall was a nice experience. Similar concepts in other cities at this price point usually offer some form of freebie such as a prosecco toast at appetizers or a small dessert sampler after dinner as a sign of appreciation for visiting which may be considered by this venue. Superb! Superb. SUPERB! Marvelous, wonderful...
Has really gone down hill. Very disappointed. With so many amazing choices at that level of restaurant on restaurant Row, we won’t be returning.
The ladies in our group ordered the French onion soup which was unlike any French onion soup we have ever tasted and not in a good way. I ordered the filet mignon and requested it to be cooked “medium” and it was rare in the middle that left my plate swimming in blood every time you cut into it. The potatoes and vegetables were very nice but it was our first time dining at Vines and probably our last.
We were disappointed with the quality and value of our dinner as we were a group of four that paid over $400 dollars for a meal that was below standard for a restaurant charging premium prices.
Outstanding dinner at Vines. Just right after Thanksgiving. I would recommend it highly to anyone.
Great Thanksgiving evening with good menue and live music.
Great ambiance ! The serving staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The meal presented very well and made for a lovely romantic experience.
Restaurant was quiet with only a couple of other tables occupied. At our table, two chairs were broken. There was live music which added atmosphere. Food was good with large potions, however two courses cost double the cost of a three course meal the previous night in a restaurant across the road where the food was better and the restaurant was full with a real buzz to the place. In summary, good food but not good value.
The atmosphere and service were great. Only problem was our steaks. We both ordered filet's with the upgrade of truffle butter. The steaks came out with a cold pad of butter on top. Not melted or warmed. We sent them back and asked that they warm up the butter. They melted the butter and put on the side. The problem is the steaks were then lukewarm and after pouring the butter on them it was like they were in a puddle of oil. It was very disappointing and we did not use the butter (though we still had to pay for it.). I asked for my steak Medium Rare and it was rare. Did not complain as we felt we just wanted to move on. I guess for a steakhouse I would have thought you could not go wrong ordering steak. It was a bit disappointing.
The experience there like always exceptional. Service, ambiance, food, and great music. One of my favorite places to dine..
Great experience! Excellent steaks and vast wine list. Service from Kevin and Brett was exceptional. A must visit when we are in Orlando!
Very pleasant, service was outstanding, and food was wonderful.
Chris (our waiter) was excellent; we request him each time we go.
The risotto with the filet medallions was excellent. Service was excellent as well. Possible to find some value on the wine list but pretty pricey.
Service was excellent. Food was fantastic.
I was expecting an amazing meal for the price especially, and I was very disappointed. The food was good, but there was nothing special about it. I could have gone to a casual restaurant and had better food and paid a lot less unfortunately.
