Great way to celebrate with friends!
Loud but private room. Super slow and not very on-point service. Maybe since they automatically added 20% they didn’t care.
We have been to Vines approximately 5 times prior to this visit. We took some out of town friends to dinner. Although the restaurant was not crowded and our reservation was for 8 pm we did not finish until 10:45pm. Our main course took too long to be served and no explanation or apology was given. Our waiter did not come by the table for long periods of time. Our food was okay. Not sure I’ll be back to Vines.
This was my second visit to Vines. The bar is very loud and crowded so they must have a good happy hour. That being said, it was a client dinner so I asked to be seated as far from the bar noise as possible. Service was good and the servers were attentive. However, the food was fair at best. We ordered the crispy calamari which was soggy and anything but crispy. I had the filet (medium rare) Oscar style which came out medium well with no bernaiase sauce. They did offer to make another but did not want to hold up my dinner guest so I declined. They comped a dessert and a coffee. However, there are better experiences to have at this price point in the Dr. Phillips area.
It is beautiful inside but incredibly noisy. I would have given the review 5 stars but they were out of the 3 bottles of wine we wanted to order and the entree I had been dreaming of trying before we came there on vacation from Michigan. Our servers Kevin and Jessie were excellent.
Took awhile for our waiter to pay attention to us. His assistant was actually more attentive. I had the scallops which was good, I wasn't sure about the grits but they ended up fine. They could've been a little more generous with the asparagus-2 of them, really? I didn't think the dish was worth $38 even though it was good. My sister had the steak and thought it was good. We didn't know it was going to be so expensive so we probably won't be back for awhile because of the cost.
Very nice restaurant a little pricey for the portion size. Overall good experience!!
Excellent as always.
This was my first time eating here. The staff are friendly and waited on us in a timely manner. The food was amazing. I would recommend this place for your next dining experience.
The food was delicious! But....we stood up for 3 mins and came back and our food was thrown away.
Terrible service. Steak came out cold and lobster and crab legs were very over cooked.
Used to have a great and diverse menu. Now pretty much just steaks and an overpriced wine list. Probably never coming back. Too many other places to choose from in Orlando. Meh...
We were greeted and promptly seated although the live jazz playing made for a very noisy host stand experience. Now we made reservations for TWO but were seated at a table that could seat TEN? Really? I noticed to my right only five feet away was an empty table for two completely set and ready. When the waiter came over he moved us to a table meant for FOUR🙄 so ok not a good beginning. I order an Italian wine that was out. Oh ok so I choose an alternative Argentinian Malbec only to have one of two servers return to the table with a bottle of Bordeaux? Oh my..well I sampled it and agreed to it. The menu entrees were a bit overpriced to be honest for the restaurant. We had the chef creation filet medallions with risotto which were delicious. Honestly the bar and wait staff could have been more attentive. My dining companion received the exact same drink three times in three different types of glassware? Are you not washing you barware? Overall the food was good and worth a go. Yet at these prices these things listed above should not occur
Everything was superb but the noise was insane! The band and singer made it extremely hard to have a conversation at the table. Otherwise it was phenomenal especially the salmon!!!
This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I LOVE this place. Being it was Valentines Day, the service and food was outstanding. My husband and I will definitely be back.
Amazing Service provided excellent food recommendations. Good portions and quality. Fresh Sea Bass was delicious. Escargot was ok but not great. Great bar and service. We enjoyed our evening.
Great service and wine selection. Our steaks were tasteless as were the sides. I reviewed this in another place and they answered and apologized so want to mention they care.
Nice place with a sophisticated vibe but uncomfortably noisy and crowded. There was a bit of a wait for a table even with a reservation. The seafood was pleasantly prepared but a bit pricier than I would expect for what you get. Not an unpleasant meal, but I wouldn't necessarily return, mostly because of the noise level. I hate shouting through dinner.
A pleasant surprise in how amazing the steaks were.
As well as the octopus tender and flavorful
The staff was wonderful .. fun lively atmosphere
Steaks were not good. Way over priced
Oysters should not have been served...awful
Asparagus was overwhelmed with smoke flavor and sauce is preferred on the side.
This is my favorite place in Orlando. The food is amazing the atmosphere is great and the service is top-notch. They have one of the best wine selections in Florida.
Good, but very loud with live music, difficult to have conversation with multiple people.
Perfection is their #1 policy. The staff: Management; Angelo, Felix, Natalie, Jordan all deserve 5 stars. If something was not right...they fixed it...We thoroughly enjoyed our evening... THANK YOU
Amazing time! Service and food was great!
Great food. Great service... great everything.
I was so disappointed this time! We've been here several times. We were actually abandoned by our server. He left us for a larger table - never to return. We had issues, but we didn't see anyone again. We just had the person who gave us bread and water (who was very nice and efficient, as always). But no one asked how our food as (my husband's stead was burnt). Our scallops were missing sauce. I had questions, but no one came back. I wasn't sure if we should ask the bread/water person. We usually come on weekends. Is this how it is on a Monday? Very confused on the change. It's usually so lovely.
Great place and great food... the grill octopus is unbelievable, best in town for sure. Filet mignon cooked perfectly. Gratin potatoes outstanding.
Service and music really good
I have been going to this restaurant for years. Always great consistent food. Steaks are superb. Great wine list. This time my girlfriend got sick with the crab cake, but the rest of the food was great. Costumer Care was very good. Music excellent. Thanks to Sarah our server to make this a special night despite the problem. We’ll be back.
Service was attentive. Steak was prepared to order. Shrimp cocktail superb and huge. Lamb chops awful. Vegetables cold. Peppercorn sauce was excellent.
Went for oysters and wine. Wine was absolutely delicious. Oyster quality lead us to decide to try another spot on the restaurant row.
Food and service was excellent. Unable to talk with our guests as music/band was so loud. We were seated in a booth near the bar area and just simply uncomfortable for an elegant quiet Evening out with friends. Reservations were made and other tables were available.
We were very pleased with our experience @ Vines. The food was deeeeelicious!! We went for my birthday and the staff definitely made it an unforgettable experience!! Very kind, great sense of humor and attentive. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy more Sangrias!!
Valley parking--thank you! Front of house staff was welcoming. Server Chris A. made us feel welcome. A few glitches in the food preparation but they were rectified and we were comped a creme brulee. Terrific wine list and high quality food. Will definitely return.
Food was good but expensive. I can't quite get used to paying 350$ (and that is US $!) for two to have a salad, steak, one of the lower priced (though good) bottles of wine, and a shared desert. And that is without taking the bone-in or dry aged beef, just a regular NY strip and a small filet. No severe pressure from the serving staff though you can tell they want to upgrade you on the beef! Otherwise nothing negative, nice decor, not good for a quiet romantic dinner but fun, energetic place. Great place to go if someone else is paying...
Great Food & our waitress was wonderful! They had a great Happy Hour!
Great food and overall experience. They had free valet and live music.
Vines is always top notch. Chris was a fantastic server, made great suggestions, and was quick to meet all of our dining needs. The food is outstanding!! Bone in filet and sea bass are a MUST! We will return!
First time visit...which can be tough on a holiday. Besides having a longer than expected wait for our table (reservation for 10ppl), everything was excellent. Service was top notch and food excellent. Was hoping for live music in their lounge as normal but instead had a DJ which was ok (not great) and should have done a midnight count down. Also, a comp champagne toast would have been nice. All little things that didn't ruin our experience...certainly would recommend and will return.
