What a disappointment . The wait staff attempted to be attentive but we’re running around as if confused . Veal was like a hunk of stew meat. Chicken on ravioli was tasteless and dry. Can not recommend .

Dinner was delicious. Service a tad bit slow for as nice of a dining establishment that it is.

One of our favorite places with really good steak and really convenient proximity to KCA. Steven’s service is always superb, however the assistants were a little slow on refills of the water.

The service and treatment by everyone was elegant and reminiscent of fine dining at elegant restaurants 25 years ago. Unfortunately the food did not live up. My veal saltembuca was cold when served. It was flamed table-side but under cooked when prepared in the kitchen. The flour coating on veal sautéed veal was not cooked and the meat was cool to the touch. The desert, an almond joy cake was outstanding. It was very expensive with most entrees in the $40+ range which for Louisville is out of sight based on my fairly extensive experience. Too bad as it had much going for it, but the food needs to be outstanding to command those prices.

The best "date night" place in town. Such great ambiance and service. Food is always fantastic, and it just could not make for a better evening.

Vincenzo's has been a mainstay in the downtown dining scene for at least twenty five years. Why? Consistent Quality and Innovation. Plus the service and hospitality is the best that the south has to offer.

Casey our Captain was attentive and went well above any expectation. He asked the chef to make not one but two dishes no longer on the menu. The chef agreed! To top off the meal the cheese cake was complimentary.

Great experience

Service was beyond reproach - top notch in all aspects. The staff was extremely professional, efficient and affable.

The Cesar salad was prepared table side and was fresh, crisp and delicious. The pasta/shrimp appetizer was tasty, but the presentation was sorely lacking in visual appeal.

The veal chop was large, tender and flavorful. The rack of lamb (having had it several times before) was a substantial disappointment. The rack was emaciated, therefore rendering it inconsistently cut and prepared. A quality rack of lamb does not need to be covered in gravy as this was. Although edible, it was not the usual high standard of perfection we had become accustomed to over the years at Vincenzo’s.

The side dishes were bland and non-descript; potato, green beans, and a carrot so hard the fork prongs had difficulty.

The dark chocolate covered Tiramisu for dessert was a rich and decadent delight.

We enjoyed the restaurant but we had an unpleasant experience. We had dinner there at the time the L'ville women's basketball team was playing in the final four. During the game we lost our service staff probably because they were watching the game which went into overtime. As a result, we were out of water and wine during dinner for at least 20-30 minutes. Staff reappeared because the game was over but it was only after we had finished dinner. All they had to do was take a few minutes to check on us. Given this experience I would not return and it would be hard to recommend to others.

We had a gift certificate so we went with 3 young children. Not ideal for this restaurant setting, but they did a great job putting us in a more constrained space and tried their best to engage the children. Food was great.

Came here for an anniversary and was blown away by the service, food, and environment. We had the steak and salmon. The flavor from the food was subtle and delicious. The meat was tender and delectable. Our waiter was very kind and respectable. The atmosphere was friendly and elegant. I’d recommend this restaurant for any special occasion of even a random day when you’re craving some top tier meals.

Very Busy, wanted to speak with Vincenzo but he was busy. He would have remembered me upon a facial recall from about 4 years back when he and his wife joined me and fiance' for supper. My grandparents are from Switzerland. I kow he has busy again, but we also talked of his family's restaurant on "The Hill," in St. Louis. Big fan of this family and wanted to meet Agostino as well. I hope we have another opportunity one day. We stayed at the Seelbach. The Otto Brothers Hotel. It has lost the old atmosphere. Would love to have an autographed pic of the two brothers for my study if possible. I you can send a hi def jpeg image, I can print and get framed. I really would like to have this. To your family, I say, "Take care." Always a pleasure to be in this house of great food and family. p.s. Can you cheat and send the recipe for the tortellini? Wow!

Wow! What a disaster! Started off badly and never recovered. The beer ordered was warm. They were sold out of dishes (7pm on Saturday). Missing the table side preparation. Scallop seared too heavily on one side, not at all on the other. Filet well overdone, not even close. The soufflé has fallen. The coffee was cold. The toilet wasn't even working properly. Good grief! I've had very nice experiences previously. Hopefully, this was just an off night.

Normally have an amazing evening, this time I found myself frustrated, thirsty, hungry and needing a cigarette. We have came for many years to celebrate our wedding anniversary, not sure if our waiters were over whelmed or what, but my table was not of importance. Did not even get offered dessert asked for the check and was brought a dessert to go along with my check, guess he got my frustrated vibe. I will return just will ask for a particular waiter. #happyanniversary17badservicedidntruinourday

This was our first visit to Louisville passing thru on our way to Michigan. Saw this restaurant on GoogleMaps and TripAdvisor - decided to give it a try. Excellent food and service. We were under dressed for the location but everyone made us feel very comfortable. Food, salads, soups, and dessert were excellent. Loved the table-side service -- don't get to see that very often any more. Thanks for a great night out.
