Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Haven’t been to Vincenzo’s in 4 years but honesty the same as I remember it......one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Consistency is their strength. Classic Italian is their core. Those 2 combined make Vincenzo’s still one of the best in Louisville.
P.S. Steven and Abbas are some of the best people and servers in this fine city.
Vincenzo's remains the premier restaurant in a city with many fine places to eat. The service is outstanding, the food is fresh, delicious and finished table side and the Caesar salad prepared from scratch at the table is the best I've eaten. Vincenzo is an outstanding host. Anyone coming to Louisville MUST reserve a table at Vincenzo's.
I wanted to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday and I wanted her to feel like a queen. Vincenzo's nailed it - the food was amazing, the service could not have been any better. Casey and Tony were the best. The Dining room is beautiful and the background music was just right. 5 Star all the way. I'd give them 6 Stars if I could. Thank you for helping me make a beautiful memory.
We have been going to Vincenzo's for 20+ years. We live 100 miles away, so it is a special treat for us to come to the city and have the opportunity to enjoy this outstanding restaurant. We eat out a great deal. We travel and eat at many outstanding restaurants. Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant is our all time favorite restaurant - it always has been and always will be. The service, the food, the ambiance, and the owners, the family, and all the people who work there, and have been there for all the years we have been eating at this restaurant, are totally the best! They are at the very top in our book.
I ordered a Moscow Mule and they made it with whiskey instead of Vodka; very disappointing and it wasn't even served in a copper mug. Three of us ordered Shrimp Alfredo. It was terrible, there was no cream sauce is was just sitting in a bunch of butter. We ordered a cheese cake for dessert and it was awful and had an off plastic note. We have been coming here the last 7 years for a Christmas luncheon and this was the worst dining experience. I told the waiter that the Alfredo didn't have cream sauce and even though he know we were not satisfied he still didn't comp the dessert or any of the meal.
I had not been to Vincenzo's in many years, but it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, well-paced, and the food was delicious! There were a couple of hitches. First, the server placed the wrong dishes in front of us, they had to be switched. We had ordered the dessert souffles, which were served tableside, but my husband's souffle was undercooked and we had to wait for another one. I will commend the server for recognizing this and not trying to serve the dessert anyway! We were there for our annual Christmastime dinner date, and I would highly recommend Vincenzo's for a special occasion. Pricey, but worth it!
Both service and food need some work. Waitstaff does not seem to. Know what to do. Have never been in a restaurant at any level that did not ask what one wanted to drink or if desserts were desired. The snap of service is missing. Perhaps a visit to the brown which treats all equally would help give a wake up call
Outstanding pasta dishes, seafood and veal, if possible enjoy a soufflé or almond joy dessert.. Extremely busy night for staff but Levert is always professional and accommodating. Vincenzo and Agostino are welcoming to every patron and ensure it is a special dining experience for everyone!
Our entrees appeared as though they were prepared in advance. Table side cooking days with fresh food are over at Vincenzo. I ordered the filet and it was well done to the point that it was tough to chew. The owner didn't acknowledge the error until I spoke up. My entree was substituted with the chicken pasta dish and again subpar. What was is no longer so! We won't be back.
It was a great start to a fun evening. We celebrated our 40th anniversary with dinner at Vincenzo’s, and finished with The Grinch at the Kentucky Center. What fun we had! Our waiter was spot on target, very helpful with the menu. The good was best of Show. We will be back.
Sorry no one said anything to us about our anniversary.
