What a fabulous experience! My son was unable to be with on Mother's Day, so last night we had Mother's Night at Vincenzo's. The waiter was gracious and attentive. The food was delicious. It was nice to meet Mr. Vincenzo himself as he came to our table to make sure all was well. The white tablecloths and fresh flowers on the tables contributed to the elegant and festive ambiance. Because the waiter knew we were celebrating Mother's Day, at the end of the meal he surprised us with a large slice of a delicious cake.
Vincenzo's never disappoints. We schedule family celebrations there. Vincenzo walks through the dining room and greets all . We truly feel like family there.
Great food and atmosphere. Will definitely come back and would highly recommend.
A special graduation dinner was celebrated at Louisville’s best restaurant . The table enjoyed the exceptional food -crepes, tortellini, Caesar salad, veal, lobster tail, derby pie and tiramisu .
We were pleased to be greeted by Vincenzo and his staff and enjoyed our outstanding meal.
We were celebrating our son's college graduation and had a lovely evening at Vincenzo's. The meal was outstanding and the service was impeccable. There was special menu for graduation which we were not aware of before our visit so we were initially disappointed to not have chicken piccata or fettucine alfredo but the dishes from this special menu were out of this world!!! This was our first visit to Vincenzo's and will certainly not be our last.
Amazing. The owner was so engaged throughout the evening with every table making sure people were enjoying themselves. There will be a return visit
Vincenzo's is the type of restaurant where presentation and service are every bit as important as the food. They use the old system wherein a captain addresses every table and directs the assistants under him. Frequent attention to detail made for a very nice dinner. I ordered the special Prix Fixe dinner consisting of house salad, baked salmon and mousse for dessert. Everything was delicious. Yes, this place is very pricey, but it's very much worth it.
Our lunch was absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed the chicken piccata and the Chicken tetrazzini as well as the deserts! The service was incredible. The owner also came to our table several times to check on things. This is a very nice Italian restaurant and will definitely make it a "Must" stop when we are in Louisville
Great service plus table side cooking made for a great experience!
First I had viewed the menu online and decided my top 3 choices. Unfortunately, they didn’t use their regular menu and switched to a fixed price menu for Derby and none of my top three entree choice were included. So I went with the Crepe for my appetizer, the Veal for my entree and the cheese cake for dessert. The wine I was familiar with and it was great. The Crepe was excellent but downhill from there. The veal was under seasoned, over cooked and cold! I would have sent it back to the kitchen but our waiter disappeared for 15 minutes. The cheesecake was average at best, totally flavorless. I’ve eaten in 4 and 5 star restaurants all over the world but this was, by far, the worst $450 meal for 2 that I have ever been served. I know COVID has disrupted the food industry but there is no excuse for this food ever leaving the kitchen. Actually of all the restaurants we ate at over our 5 day stay, this was the worst. Jeff Ruby’s, Doc Crows, The River House, our Hotel were all better and lots less expensive. Our breakfast from Smashburger was even better.
Food was very good but service was horrible.
Very good food and service
Wonderful service by Casey and generosity from Vincenzo. Great dinners.
It was delicious! Every-time we have dinner there, I wonder why we don't visit more frequently. Thank you...
It was amazing . Husband and I went for our anniversary and both meals were outstanding .
Great food and service
Had an Open Table reservation for dinner as a single. When I arrived, I offered to sit at the bar; the hostess said it was up to me, but I was welcome to sit at the table they reserved for me. Nice touch.
The meal was borderline surreal. The food and service were first rate—gourmet meals finished table side by experienced waiters. But, unlike other haute cuisine white table cloth restaurants with snooty wait staffs, there was not an air of pretension in the entire restaurant. Instead of arrogant, standoffish servers, these folks were having fun—with the patrons and with each other.
I had the Dover sole. I’m of the opinion that Dover sole is the world’s greatest fish and I never miss the opportunity to order it unless I don’t trust the kitchen or the price is too high. Vincenzo’s charged $45–not inexpensive, but a fair price. It was cooked perfectly and boned expertly table side by the waiters. No complaints at all. The sauce was very good; honestly, I’ve had better, but it was very good. I’m probably undervaluing it because I prefer more of a French based, rather than an Italian white butter sauce, on Dover sole. But, it was still very good. Did I mention that the fish was cooked and boned impeccably?
This is a really good restaurant and I commend it to you. The Italian meals I saw being delivered to other tables looked outstanding. I’d eat here again in a heartbeat.
Great service and food and there were 6 of us. Very accommodating.
Celebrated a friend’s birthday. Perfect as always!
My bosses treated me for Administrative Professionals Day. Everything about the meal was great!
Fantastic atmosphere and the food was phenomenal. Our waiter Casey was excellent as well.
The lamb was cold. The waiters offer food that isn’t on the menu as if it’s sort of the meal. More upset with the lamb .
Great restaurant and Louisivlle staple! Excellent service, we had a party of 4 and eveyone loved thier food and drinks. Great place for special occassion or just a great meal! I love the fact that people still dress up to dine here, always enjoy my dining experience at Vincenzo's!
Service was top notch & food DELICIOUS!!! Thank you!!!
Great food as always and a wonderful wine list. The chicken and asparagus is wonderful. The presentation was fantastic.
Consummate service and delicious authentic Italian food.
Stephen and Tyler were outstanding! They both did a tremendous job. True professionals and pleasant!
Great Italian meal
This is our Holiday / Special Occasion Italian restaurant. The servers are very polite and personable, the restaurant space itself is very elegant - request a table under the high windows - and Tony Bennett Sonoma Cutrer. Very pleased with our Anniversary dinner; kudos all around!
Steve our waiter provided excellent service.
always an excellent evening. great food and service.
Thank you Stephen and Vincenzos for a special dinner. So nice to see Thomas and Haley there as well.
Delicious food, great service, crazy low prices.
My son and I went for lunch. Our server was so helpful and friendly. We shared a salmon special and a pasta dish.
The prices were very reasonable.
I highly recommend.
Another good meal at Vincenzo's. Covid kept me away for a year but chef was able to whip up my favorite chicken pasta, even though the menu has updated. That's service! Gabrielle was there to great us with his usual flair and gratefulness. Worth a trip downtown.
This food was absolutely amazing as well as the service.
We had a fantastic meal. Great food and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend Vincenzo’s!
The service was excellent, the food not so much. There are better Italian restaurants in Louisville.
Vincenzos was an awesome experience where the only thing more impressive than the service was the food.
Excellent service and great food
Great food, great service (Kyle and Julie) and great atmosphere as always. And it's always nice to chat with Gabriel!
