Vincenzo's Italian Restaurant
The service was superb and the food was excellent. The atmosphere made for a very memorable evening.
Dinner special Veal chop was quite delicious and large yet sides were ok, not great. Service was fine, not great. Cesar salads not prepared table side due to a crowded dining room. I get that I guess, yet a substantial loss in dining theatre for a $14 so-so sized salad. It’s a high end, old school fine dining atmosphere; however not all food items live up to that level or price point. Overall it’s good just not great.
Food and service were great until the bill came. Then we waited, and waited. And waited....for server to come back and take the credit cards. And they KNEW we had concert tickets.....
Ruben is always such a pleasure to have as our waiter. He is so knowledable and fun!! Love having lunch there
Everything was great especially the service! Wish we weren’t seated next to the service and waiters door because it was our first time and I feel we did not get the true experience of the restaurant😂 It was hard to see the beauty which was involved more towards the bar and center of the restaurant! Hope to have a better view next time 😔
Nice restaurant however, the price of the pasta dishes is terrible! My pasta was $45 and had 3 very small shrimp and a sliver of a lobster tail. Very disappointing!
Fabulous food, service, and ambiance!
We’ve always recommended Vincenzo’s, especially for special events and before performances at the Performing Arts Center. The food is always first rate In a spectacular dining room, with careful, attentive service. Critics of the expense of the menu should consider the overhead of the fabulous downtown dining room tuxedoed service staff, and full silver and crystal service. We were a bit surprised to see a service charge applied on our two bills for our foursome; this would be Expected for groups of six and up. 20% was added to the total food and liquor bill. Had we been given the discretion for the gratuity our practice is 20% of the food bill only.
Our party of four found service and food to be excellent. The final tableside preparations were a nice touch, but we were unpleasantly disappointed to see cobwebs in the light fixtures over our table.
Excellent all around! Made a great Old Fashion. Caesar salad presentation was the best. Excellent from the time you walk in the door until you walked out!!
Great service and food
Food was amazing. Our server seemed a little distracted. I had made sure they knew it was my boyfriend's birthday. They had it down to bring him a piece of cake. however the dessert girl came around twice as I hummed and hawed waiting for the Server to bring the dessert. Unfortunately my boyfriend went ahead and ordered a dessert before he got his surprise. Disappointing for sure...
But none the less. An overall fabulous dinner to celebrate a 60th birthday.
Very nice Italian restaurant. My wife and I will certainly be back.
We love this place! It has been part of our life for a long time. My wife and I first went there together on our honeymoon and we visit as often as we are in Louisville. This evening was for my wife's birthday celebration. The food, wine, service were perfect! This is a true dining experience not to be missed!
Beautiful place, great service, glass never empty. Very helpful to first time guest
Amazing service, food, and ambiance!
Dover dole was delicious. Table side pasta appetizer was outstanding. Dessert to top it off...superb all around!
1 yr dating Anniversary.
Loved the food and the service was awesome. Celebrated our anniversary, great place for a special evening.
Stephen was an outstanding waiter, a real experience! Would recommend more
Pasta dishes and wine a little pricey, maybe offer more lower priced options. Desserts were wonderful. Overall a memorable and positive experience!
Craig and Ronda
We (2 of us) had a reservation but was still seated by the kitchen door so very noisy.
The service staff were all very friendly. The salad was pre-made, wilted and cold. The pasta was outstanding but the $200 price with one glass of wine each was to to much (did not order dessert) for overall experience.
Great food, great service and attention to detail.
Went there while in Louisville for the Utility Contractors conference. The food was fantastic. The manager, Brandon, went out of his way to give me a tour of the wine cellar which is in an old bank vault. Enjoyed our dinnee
Love Vincenzo’s! Our family went here for my wife’s birthday. What a treat. The food and service is outstanding. We had grandchildren with us ages 14 to 11. Vincenzo’s accommodated them nicely with modified menu items. Mr. Vincenzo was most attentive to them and our family. We had a great family night. I highly recommend Vincenzo’s for special occasions, date nights, and business meals.
First class service on our special occasion
Vincenzo's is always fabulous! The food was so delicious as always. I had the tortellini and lamb. Get Mark as your waiter if you can because he is superb with attentiveness.
This was a formal attire
Outstanding food, service and ambiance as always
Always a special dinner here. Thank you Vincenzo.
Expensive but so worth it. Everyone should add Vincenzo’s to their bucket list.
This place was GREAT!!
My husband and I had our anniversary dinner on Monday! We had the best experience!! Amazing service! Met the owner, was told by the waiter they would make me anything I wanted and got a complimentary anniversary dessert!
We were here last year and had a fantastic 5 star experience. We brought some friends with us this time and were disappointed. We had bragged on the restaurant so we all chose this for our fine dining experience. Our drink at the bar was excellent and the bartender is first rate. When we finished we were seated slightly before our reservation time. So far, so good. The ladies ordered the pork tenderloin dish, my friend had the airline chicken breast and I had the stuffed veal medallions. We all shared Caesar salads. The salad was way too peppery and the ladies couldn’t eat it. The main courses were dominated by heavy sauces that hid the flavors of the dishes. Service was precise but slow. The desserts were tasty but the coffee served with them was only lukewarm. I felt bad for our friends as this was the priciest meal of the trip. My wife and I will probably not return.
Celebrating our Anniversary and enjoyed a great meal with wonderful service
We haven’t been to Vincenzo’s for almost a year. It was once a favorite place. We noticed immediately that a lot had changed. The plastic menu with fewer choices stood out the most. Ironically, when we went there before it wasn’t very busy, but the food and service were impeccable. This time, it was very crowded and the food and experience felt more like Olive Garden. I’m glad they are doing well, but it feels like they have decided to put volume over quality. I doubt that we’ll return.
Best restaurant in Louisville! A birthday dinner was enjoyed at this special restaurant. The pasta appetizer, caesar salad, grouper special, Dover sole, soufflé, and almond joy dessert were outstanding. We appreciate the excellent service.
Most enjoyable and romantic dinner. Perfect for date night. Quality always the highest.
Amazing! Bought on Groupon so worth it ! From start to finish our meal was delicious.
