Loved the food and ability to customize a fresh salad for me. Then the waitress took it up a notch by celebrating my husband's birthday with a complimentary homemade Limoncello!!
Very nice place to dine in Avon. Went there with my wife. Great wine list, knowledgeable server who gave great recommendations, and delicious food as well. Dishes were very well-executed. The octopus was tender, the scallops melted in my mouth, the mushrooms were juicy and flavorful, etc. Great value for the money - we got 7 small plates and 7 tasting glasses of wine for $170, which is very reasonable for a wonderful fine dining meal in a resort town. Maybe we're just crazy because we live in San Francisco, though.
Food is consistently good. Small plates offer a diversity of food. Depending on where you sit, it can be noisy. The best tables are to the South by the windows.
This is one of my favorite in Avon
Great experience overall
Great spot for dining. Excellent food with outstanding service and great atmosphere. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
The rabbit rillettes was agreed to be the best plate of the evening, the meatballs were a close second. Always great food and drinks here. Eat here every year when I come to visit! A++
Best dinner in Beaver Creek! Excellent service & an amazing meal . Great smoked salmon appetizer & very fair wine selections
We love Vin 48. We go there at least once every time we come to Beaver Creek for skiing. The food and service are outstanding, and the wine list features some interesting, hard to find vintages. The food is always very fresh and the preparations are creative and delicious. Highly recommend.
We have been here 3 times and all times the wait staff was knowledgeable about the menu options and preparation, every meal have been exceptional. The wait staff have all had great fun personalities which has made it an additional bonus dining here. DeLisa IOU’s flavors and choices.
Very fancy and pleasant place. Have a lot of space, decorated with a good taste. Warm and welcoming. Giving the sensation not to leave.
The staff is professional and knowledgeable and friendly.
The food and drinks are GREAT!
Our dining experience was fabulous! The service, the food, the menu, the energy and vibe of the restaurant were all wonderful. I'll definitley return.
We had a wonderful dinner and the staff couldn’t have been nicer!
Simply put, our evening was excellent! We shared a variety of small plates and then shared a couple of the large plates. Our Waitress, who was also excellent, asked what we liked the best. It was all great. Standouts was the salmon small plate and I loved the pork. Yes I will go again and I highly recommend as one of my favorite restaurants in the Vail Valley! Only negative is they charge for more bread. Thats rookie.
Really wonderful service and an entertaining selection of tapa like meals.
Disappointed in wine service. Sardine appetizer was not very good, did not match description. Server complained when we requested more bread.
Great drinks, food , service. Very friendly staff!
Great wine !!
Slow service to start but got better. Delicious food but widely varying portions on the small plates made it hard to gauge how many we’d need.
Excellent service! Delicious food! Spectacular wine list! Our server, Hannah, was extremely knowledgeable about all menu items and was pleasantly personable.
The food was great -as always. The service was horrible. Our waiter belongs at Denny's, not here.
Small plates are the best deal in the house. Many good wine “specials.”
The food is very good with creative preparations. The menu is very extensive with many options for small plates. Great wine list. Lots of options for wines by the glass.
A must stop when in the Vail Valley looking for great food and wine! We had the Octopus and ShortRib off the Small Plates Menu and shared the Elk Chops from the Large Plate section. Accompanied by some great wines which our server Hanna suggested! These local boy's and girls no how to run a restaurant........Can't wait to go back......
The food and service is outstanding. I was staying in Vail and drove 15 min to get there. I highly recommend it.
Our server was knowledgeable and had excellent recommendations as the menu is vast. We went with 5 small plates and they were each outstanding. Great wine list with acceptable prices. This is a wonderful dining experience.
Share portions small for four people (2 couples). Very, very noisy. Kitchen slow, but server tried hard to compensate. Overall disappointing.
The food was delicious, the wine list was extensive, specialty drinks were great. Fun place with couples, especially during Happy hour.
Vin 48 was a fun dining experience. They have a selection of small plates and many people as we did make a dinner of several small plates. The fried Octopus was average not as fresh as we've had in the past. The Louisiana shrimp (3 total with heads on) were tasty and we particularly liked the the small Thai salad accompaniment. Best of all were their claim to fame mussels. The mussels were plump and the sauce with pieces of sausage and red pepper were divine. The beef short ribs with sauce were also very good. If you are not very hungry, four small plates will be enough for two especially if you share a dessert and cordial as we did. Otherwise, I think two small plates and two large plates are the way to go but you end up spending a lot more. We were celebrating our Anniversary and the host brought us a complementary glass of Prosecco for us to share which was a nice touch. Our waiter Dennis was very helpful and great all around. We liked Vin 48 but you do need to drop some bucks to really enjoy a solid dinner here. I hear their Happy Hour is the best in Avon.
First time there, and everyone ordered different items and they were all top notch! Delicious and right size portions. Will definitely be back soon!
Good neighborhood place!
Will definitely go back:)
The restaurant is very nice but the back room, where we were seated, although not terrible, definitely has the feel of an afterthought. To be fair, if you want to eat in a quieter atmosphere, I would say the back room would be fine but, for us, it felt like we didn’t experience the restaurant in the manner that we planned when we made our reservations. If we had known we’d not be in the main dining room, we would not have gone. The service was excellent. The food was good but heavy on the butter and the chicken drumsticks were very fatty. The rest of the food was fine but not terribly inspired. The wine was okay but my Beaujolais came with a lot of cork floating about, however, the waitress was quick to replace the glass.
Great food and drinks. Went twice during our 5 night stay in Avon!
Excellent seasonal menu
Smoked salmon app was a fav!
Far and away the best meal we’ve had during our week in Beaver Creek. Great spot. Highly recommend.
Vin48 is an outstanding & professionally staffed restaurant. From Chef who has deliciously appointed fresh cuisine & casual affair to those who Hosted our table, it was impressive. It's welcoming atmosphere boasts high ceilings & views of the mountains. We always recommend Vin48 to our house guests & rental visitors knowing they will be more than pleasantly surprised.
Excellent meal and wonderful service. The ambience was nice, even though we had a table near us that was quite loud. Highly recommend this restaurant to friends and Beaver Creek/Avon visitors.
Had a great dinner at Vin. Our waiter, was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. We ordered a number of tasting plates and shared. Loved our meal
VIn 48 continues to be one of our faves! Chef Charlie Hays is innovative and daring, and they use as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. Colin & Greg are your owners/hosts, and make sure that everyone is having a great time. The entire service staff is EXTREMELY knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. When in the Vail Valley, you must go to Vin 48!
