   The menu is not the same as it is on Open Table. They only offer a 3 course brunch for $33. When I made the reservation with a cc to secure it, I didn’t know the menu would be different. The service was great, it was too chilly to sit on the patio, but we’ll be back for that. I’m sad that covid has changed sooooo many things, including menus.

   The food left much to be desired. Mussels were not fully cooked…beers were semi raw, salmon was salty and creme brûlée was undercooked. Disappointed to say the least.

   Superb service from our waiter Charles. He made the evening very special. He was correct, “the cheesecake dessert is to die for.” Don’t skip it!

   Great service, soup was excellent. Entrees were inconsistent-some sides were unseasoned, others were too salty to eat. Sauce on pork chop was too heavy, shrimp were overcooked, tough and dry. We mentioned these concerns to our server, they comped the more expensive entree and gave us dessert, too. The manager spoke with us and apologized for the disappointing meal. We will be back! This is the first bad meal in a decade. I’m sure the current staffing and supply challenges make it difficult.

    We have always enjoyed Vin de Set and have visited many times for special occasions. This Mothers Day however was a bit of a disappointment. The three course brunch wasn’t as good as it could have been. We started with a tiny cup of lobster bisque. The flavor was rich but the soup itself was quite thin. My 2nd course was Eggs Benedict, and I was expecting two halves of toasted brioche muffin w/ two eggs as is usually served. This small portion was only one. My sons 2nd course was prime rib. Very fatty and cold.I opted for the lemon tart for dessert . It arrived cut into a weird shape and was super tiny - crazy small portion once again. My sons creme brûlée was over cooked & curdled. Service was friendly was painfully slow. “We aren’t doing bread today” was the response when we asked for something to munch on in between dragging courses. Overall, for $45 person it was not a great experience.

    Service was good, April and support staff were attentive. 1st course on Mother’s Day came out barely warm, not enough gravy on the biscuit so kind of dry. Scrambled eggs and bacon were very good, mushroom/beef crepe was our least favorite—not much flavor. 2nd course prime rib could barely cut with a steak knife, green beans weren’t cooked thoroughly but the potatoes were amazing. My husband had the crab Benedict—though it didn’t come out very hot, it’s flavor was one of the best we’ve had . The chicken cordon and the ham/Gruyère omelets were both really good. For dessert we had creme brûlée, lemon tart, and chocolate cake… all delicious.

    Courtney, our server was awesome. Kept us informed about the progress of our order, recommended a wonderful wine, and extremely personable. Mike in the bar was fun for our after dinner drink. Awesome time all the way around

    Perfectly decent across the board - but to be clear, this is a fairly casual, mid-level gathering place with mostly French food cooked for an American palate. If you are looking for an upscale French restaurant for a formal occasion, this is pitched a little more casual than that. As such, a touch over-priced for my tastes.

    I made a reservation to celebrate my best friends birthday. We got greeted at the door telling her happy bday (it was in my notes). We sat down and ordered cocktails, goat cheese appetizer, halibut and seared tuna along w a bottle of wine. I asked if we could course it out, so bring the app first and wine and dinner after. It was 5 mins into getting our app that we had our food brought to us from the kitchen, I still had a full app and a full cocktail. My halibut was cold. It was obvious it sat and was up the same time as the goat cheese. We were told by our server that she's new and she apologized for putting them at the same time. We tried to ignore the fact that the table next to us was sitting w apps being there before us and we were being served our dinner. I asked if we were being rushed out for any reason. After our dinner our server walks up to the table with dessert in her hand, I got excited assuming it's some type of dessert for my friend for her bday so I say happy birthday as she approaches and get excited...only to be asked if we want a dessert menu. My friend and i felt so emberassed thinking it was for her. I got the dessert sampler, paid my almost 200 dollar tab and will never come back into this establishment and will make sure I let my friends know of this experience. I have been in the industry until last year for over 10 years and I have never had this type of interaction. Additionally, the table next to us had a manager stop by to drop off food and talk w them, but a table obviously struggling was never visited by a manager.

    My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We were greeted with a complimentary champagne toast and a great view on the patio. The Vietnamese meatballs and Gruyère were excellent. Our tenderloin was cooked to perfection. This will be one of our favorite places to return to.

    We hosted some friends from out of town. We picked the restaurant because of many wonderful experiences we've had there pre-COVID. We sat outside because the weather was perfect and we wanted our guests to have a view of downtown/arch. First, the tables were a bit small for 4 people, especially if you order appetizers. Second, the service was inconsistent. We had to call the server several times to order/reorder. Water refill was inconsistent as well. I attribute that to personnel shortages post-COVID, so I am willing to give them a pass for that. Food was still good, not the best I've had there Maybe because it was Sunday night). We still like this restaurant and definitely be back and eat there again. They have earned a pass for now.

    Our server was the most unpleasant server I have maybe ever had. She seemed clearly annoyed, disinterested, or both, from prior to her first visit to our table. For the prices, it’s not what you expect. I mean, it’s not even what you expect from Chilis. It definitely detracted from what we hoped would be a lovely nice dinner out, as we felt like an inconvenience to her the whole evening.

    The bread was a little stale, crepes were a little soggy, the bacon on the spinach salad was hard as a rock, the fingerling potatoes were not fresh & the asparagus overcooked. The salmon had a nice buttery flavor.

    Service was not the best, we had very long wait periods for drinks, and at $11 a small flute of mimosa, I really wish there was a bottomless or carafe option. 2 of the 3 courses were good. The poached egg for the eggs benedict had very runny whites and was floating in a sea of hollandaise butter, much too runny. The seasoning on the sausage for the sausage gravy biscuit was overpowering and made it difficult to enjoy. Overall, for $120 for 2 people to have brunch and 2 mimosas, it was not worth it. Love the ambience and view of Vin De Set, but would stick to dinner, not brunch.

    A beautiful Spring Friday night and outdoor patio…here we come. There were 6 of us and after champagne and placing our appetizer order we did not see our waiter for 35 minutes…not even a simple heads up. Eventually a host and others came around and I understand the service world post pandemic, but the continued disappearance by the wait staff was uncalled for. Food finally came and was great! Got the check which included an extra bottle of unserved wine charged to the check. Perhaps I should not have been surprised. Still tipped 20% on whole bill but left frustrated and disappointed.

    Heard incredible things about Vin de Set from friends, but we didn't have a great experience. The server had a lot to do with that; hope it was just an off night for her. Despite telling the server in advance we had a time restriction (we only had just over an hour) and her saying that was not a problem, our food arrived 5 minutes before we had to leave. Steaks were well seasoned but mostly overdone (1 medium rare was spot on; 2 mediums didn't have any pink left). Salmon was great.

    The baked goat cheese starter was delicious! I ordered the 6oz filet, which was also delicious. The filet was served on a bed of either fried, or roasted greens, and scalloped potatoes. Both sides were too butter-y for me and I could not finish them. Another person in our party ordered the halibut, and said it was great :) It did seem a bit strange that the halibut did not have a side with it, and the 6oz filet had two sides. The chocolate rou.... I do not remember the spelling, but it was a fabulous cake with berries - we were glad we made room for dessert! The service was impeccable :D

    Easter Sunday brunch experience… Made a reservation for four and was seated right away. Our server was very helpful answering questions about the menu choices and drink selection. Everyone ordered a variation of Bloody Mary or Mimosa and was very satisfied. Our orders were taken and we were notified that there was no more Crème Brûlée and that was a downer for the entire party as it was a feature desert that everyone was anticipating. The first and second courses came out with little wait and everyone in the group was happy with presentation and taste, the Comments shared were “Chicken was amazing and the prime rib was perfect”… on the negative side was the small serving of the Shrimp cocktail. Our desserts were the final course and we had the chocolate mousse and the lemon bars as they were the only two options. The lemon bars were enjoyed but the Chocolate Mousse was a flop. Overall it was a nice afternoon and we did have a great time with great service.
