   This place had top notch delicacies without the Michelin star prices. The ambiance was gorgeous and it was a mellow vibe. Went for my anniversary and they were so sweet to us in celebrating it. Will for sure go back again!

   Per usual, Chef Jason Fox and his team continue to make magic come out of that kitchen and bar. I always go in there with high expectations and know they’ll be met but am continually surprised at how they surpass those expectations. The tasting menu is my favorite in SF. It is not only the epitome of California cuisine but also, more specifically Bay Area freshness with a dash of je ne sais quoi. So grateful every time I go in. Special thanks to Robyn for always making my guests and I feel at home, for our attentive and helpful server and for the bartender (sorry I can’t remember your names) with the impressive mixology skills!

   We dine out frequently and always go for quality and service that's 5 star, well we scored high on Thursday night before seeing Book of Mormons. Asked for a quiet table and got one. Great waiter named James and his helper, Nitra were perfect. Our oysters were beyond good, and so was every single thing we ordered. We've been here before but Thursday night was spectacular. Can't wait to go back.

   Ambiance is nice very unique hotel. Location is not the greatest and street parking is difficult even on a Sunday. Parking fee is astronomical at $89 whether you dine there or not! Paying exuberant parking cost in the city is not unusual as an over night guest. As many 5 star hotels like the Four Seasons, their rate is only $80 for over night guests. Where as if you dine at the hotel or attend an event the parking is reduced by 1/e! Plus it is in a MUCH nicer neighborhood where the overall service is night and day difference! Quiet upsetting to know we paid $89 to dine at the hotel, to learn as we asked for the car, they gave us the keys...so there was not a valet service plus the car was parked about 50 yards from the front door! The staff knowledge of the tea service of why they were promoting the month of May as floral were simply not there. The tea bites were not impressive as I've had better. However, the ambiance of the restaurant was nice...we were the only one in there. The cost of the parking for 3 hours together with the sub par food is enough for me not to return anytime soon.

   Wonderful restaurant experience! Questionable location but inside the restaurant made up for that. We even went up to the roof top bar after dinner for some cozy evening cocktails and conversation. Would visit again in the future

   Went on a Tuesday night before the theatre. Service was great and they were very aware of when we needed to leave to make it on time. Food was above average and the restaurant provided a nice setting. Parking prices were VERY expensive.

    Had their buffet for spring special and was a bit disappointed. As soon as I checked in I was greeted by a cacophony of obnoxious laughter from a gaggle of ladies. The noise level was quite loud. They didn’t have omelette station and no waffles in sight.

    We had such a lovely dinner at Villon. The location was a bit tricky as we didn't realize it was off a hotel lobby. The beet salad was simply amazing. Our favorite part of our dinner. We each ordered the 3 course meal, a salads, entree and dessert. He didn't care for the potatoes, but otherwise everything delicious and we both had baked Alaskans for dessert. I thought it was a little too rich, but my husband loved it and ate his and most of mine. We'd definitely go back for the beet salad. It's a very relaxing and beautiful setting. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. It is a convenient 5 min walk to the Golden Gate Theater.

    Was there for Afternoon Tea on a Saturday. The tea service is lovely, it takes place in the lobby, which can be noisy at times, and the some of the seats are very close together so it can be difficult to have conversations. The chairs are also very deep, so it can be uncomfortable for sitting. Service was very good, and the tea plate was delicious!!

    Wonderful food and ambience. Myself and my 10 year old enjoyed a lot our huevos rancheros for breky. The feuit bowl had a good variety and was very fresh. Loved this place.

    Food was exceptional. The Proper Martini was excellent. Our server was very good. But… we felt pretty invisible for about 15 minutes. The hostess gave us only one menu then forgot about us even though we asked for another. It took a bit before our server attended to us even though he was very good in the end. We had questions. We finally resorted to asking the guy filling our water glasses for answers. The music was so loud that it was difficult to carry on a conversation much less hear the waiter. So 5 stars for the food… 5 stars for the waiter and attendant… 3 stars for the rest. That being said, we’ll give it another try sometime.

    What a spectacular meal! The prix fixe is a great deal, and each dish was elevated, seasonal, and absolutely delicious. The cocktails are excellent too, as is the service, and the space is a delight to be in. We can't wait to return!

    Overall Villon is a beautiful restaurant with great service and ambiance. The food, while tasty is very limited at noon. I would love to return but the very limited menu doesn’t beg a return visit. More choices are definitely needed at lunchtime.

    Lovely dinner to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday before the show at the Orpheum Theater close by. We started with a Proper Martini served very elegantly with garnishes on separate plate. Very smooth & unique martini. The Swordfish was cooked perfectly with delicious herbs & vegetables. It is a stylish restaurant with excellent service & will be our go to the next time we attend another show at the Orpheum Theater.

    I took my girlfriends here yesterday to host my Bridesmaid's Proposal brunch. Prio to yesterday the team at Villon helped me make reservations and answered all of my party planning questions. They truly were great. Upon arrival yesterday, 40 minutes late from the St. Patrick's Day Parade I had no clue was going on, they greeted us with such hospitality and were not grumpy in the slightest over our lack of punctuality. At the table was a beautiful bottle of Champagne compliments of the Manager. Such a sweet touch and so appreciated. We ordered the bottomless mimosas which I believe were around $25 which feels like a pretty good deal for SF. Everyone ordered from the breakfast menu aside from my Maid of Honor who went full send on the buffet. She loved it and went back for thirds. I had the polenta breakfast entree and OH-EM-GEEEE was it delicious. We also ordered a ton of their french fries which tasted like they were cocked in duck fat (drooling as I type this). All of the girls loved their Brunch and loved the vibe of the restaurant even more. We got some really solid photos that I'll cherish forever and even better lifelong memories. An amazing experience to kick off all the wedding festivities this year. Will for sure be back :) My only complaint is that the rooftop bar, Charmaine's didn't open until 3-3:30 which feels kind of late. Would have loved to take in the view and order one last cocktail before we headed out.
